While the actors Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani are waiting for their upcoming movies to release, the duo seems to have another big project in their kitty. ## According to a report in a leading portal, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani were seen in the Karan Johar's office on August 7 where they reportedly have signed the dotted lines of the film which is said to be a romantic comedy entertainer and will be directed by the Good Newwz director Raj Mehta.## Earlier, Varun and Kiara were supposed to do Shashank Khaitan's "Mr. Lele" but the film eventually got slaved owing to the difference of opinion with respect to the script between the stakeholders. ## If everything goes as per plan then it will be the second time when Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani will share the big screen together. India To Host 2021 Men's T20 World Cup; Women's ODI World Cup Postponed To 2022

India have retained the hosting rights for the men's T20 World Cup in 2021 while Australia will host T20 World Cup in 2022. Both the nations were not able to host the respective tournaments which were originally scheduled to take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ## Meanwhile, Women's ODI World Cup which was slated to be played in New Zealand in February-March 2021, has now been postponed to February-March 2022, the ICC announced on Friday (August 7) after a meeting of the International Business Corporation (the commercial subsidiary of the ICC). ## "We now have absolute clarity on the future of ICC events enabling all of our Members to focus on the rescheduling of lost international and domestic cricket. We will now proceed as planned with the Men's T20 World Cup 2021 in India and host the 2022 edition in Australia," ICC Chief Executive Manu Sawhney said.## Earlier, ICC had announced the postponement of the 2020 edition of the Men's T20 World Cup on July 20 and had also marked a window for the three men's events in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Read More... ## Important to know that the format for the Men's T20 World Cup in 2021 will remain as it was in 2020, with all teams that qualified for the 2020 event to be part of the event in India in 2021. However, a new qualification process will be in place for the Men's T20 World Cup in 2022.## For the Women's 50-over World Cup, five teams had already qualified for the tournament originally scheduled in 2021. The final three teams were to be decided through a qualification competition that was scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka in July 2020 but was postponed because of the pandemic. That qualification event will now be held in 2021 with the ICC yet to decide on the dates.## "We have taken the decision to move the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup to give players from every competing nation, the best opportunity to be ready for the world's biggest stage and there is still a global qualifier to complete to decide the final three teams," Sawhney said.## "There has been no women's international cricket played since the conclusion of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup earlier this year and due to the varying impact of COVID-19 globally, that is likely to remain the situation for a number of the teams. BCCI Suspends Title Sponsorship Deal With Vivo For IPL 2020

The Board Of Cricket Control In India (BCCI) has officially suspended the title sponsorship with the Chinese mobile company Vivo for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League amid soaring India-China diplomatic tensions. ## BCCI, without giving any details sent out the one-line statement to say that the Vivo will not be associated with the IPL 2020. ## "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Vivo Mobile India Pvt Ltd have decided to suspend their partnership for Indian Premier League in 2020", the press release stated. ## FYI, Vivo won the title sponsorship rights for five years from 2018 to 2022 for a reported sum of ₹2190 crore, approximately ₹440 crores per annum. Now, with Vivo is no longer hold the sponsorship rights for this year's IPL, BCCI likely to float a tender for the new title sponsors. ## As it was earlier decided, the IPL 2020 has moved to the UAE due to the rising COVID-19 cases in India. The famous TV personality, Sameer Sharma who had worked in the popular tv-shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi found dead at his Mumbai home on Wednesday night.## According to the initial information shared by Malad police, the security guard at the apartment complex had informed the police. Sameer Sharma was found hanging from the kitchen ceiling at his apartment in Malad west on Wednesday (August 5) night.## Police said that an accidental death report has been registered and the body has been sent for autopsy. ## "We have not found any evidence that suggests he may have been killed. Also, no suicide note has been found at the house so far. We are still investigating the case," an officer said. The body has been sent for autopsy.## The 44-year old was an acknowledged actor who gave some of the memorable performances through TV shows and movies. After working in the TV shows like Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Geet Hui Sabse Parayee, and Left Right Left, he made his Bollywood debut with the movie "Hasee Toh Phasee".
