Angrezi Medium to re-release in Dubai as theaters reopen on May 27

Late Irrfan Khan's last film Angrezi Medium which theatrical release was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown in the country, is all set to become one of the first movies to be released in Dubai as the cinemas are reopening there on Wednesday, May 27 after the two months of break. ## However, the film will not get to release with full capacity as the cinemas have to follow some strict guidelines issued by the government. Considering the health of people, cinemas are allowed to run only at 30% capacity while the elderly people above 60 and children bellow 12 will not be allowed inside the theatres. ## *Allocating 2 seats 4 customers & to leave 2 seats empty in each row. *To keep every alternate row empty, with floor marking shall be in place.* Elderly above 60 years & children below 12 not allowed entry.* Number of shows 2 b reduced 2 allow more time 4 sanitisation.— Sreedhar Pillai (@sri50) May 26, 2020 ## Talking about the Angrezi Medium, the film was released on March 13 in India but soon found itself in deep trouble after most of the states of India decided to close the cinema hauls due to coronavirus threat. FWICE writes to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray proposing guidelines for the resumption of work in the entertainment industry

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has written to the chief minister of Maharashtra state Shri Uddhav Thackeray in which the federation has proposed the guidelines for the resumption of work in the media and entertainment industry post lockdown. ## The federation has proposed 24 points in front of the CM which should be followed once the production work resumes. The proposed points are (a few of them)-## 1. All necessary medical checkups to be mandatory for all the crafts and crew entering the sets while shoots. ## 2. All the necessary personal care equipment such as face mask/shields, hand sanitizer, etc. should be provided to all the crew members by the producers. ## 3. Healthy and hygiene food to be provided to all the craft and crew members on the sets by the producers. ## 4. Lesser crew members to be allowed on the indoor shoots. ## 5. All the equipment on the production units should be sanitized at regular intervals. ## 6. Ideally, all unit members to get a negative COVID test report to be allowed on the shoot, and post.## 7. Outstanding dues amount should be cleared by the producers before starting the shoots and the payment should be made within 30 days of the shoot. ## 8. People aged 60 years and above and pregnant women to be restricted on the set for 4 months from the date of start. ## 9. Monthly payment to be cleared end every month. ## 10. Daily wages workers payment to be cleared on a daily basis. ## 11. Minimum Life Insurance Guarantee of Rs. 50 Lakh.## 12. Ambulance, doctor, and nurse compulsory on every set. ## 13. Visitors strictly prohibited. ## 14. Any person found COVID +ve during the shoots or during his travel of shoots should be mandatorily given treatment in a private hospital. ## 15. 8 hours shift. Director and producer Karan Johar has issued a statement after two members from his household staff tested positive with the coronavirus. He said in the statement that the rest of his family and staff are doing well at the moment and showing no symptoms. He also ensured that the best treatment will be provided to infected people. ## In the statement, he wrote, "I'd like to inform you that 2 members of our household staff have tested positive for Covid-19. As soon as symptoms were detected, they were put under quarantine in a section of our building. The BMC was informed immediately, the building has been fumigated and sterilised by them as per norms". ## "The rest of us in the family and staff are all safe and display no symptoms. We have all taken the swab test this morning and have tested all negative, but will remain in self-isolation for the next 14 days for the safety of everyone around us.
