3 WWE Raw Takeaways From This Week’s Show (August 24, 2026)

WWE Raw aired on Monday, August 24, 2026, from the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The episode streamed live on Netflix at the earlier time of 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT and featured the arrival of OTM, the return of Royce Keys, two tournament semifinal matches and a confrontation between Oba Femi and Bron Breakker.

The show gave WWE several new directions to explore. Penta and Rey Fenix earned the right to fight each other for a match against Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch crossed paths with Stephanie Vaquer again, and three new enemies entered the continuing Bloodline conflict.

Here are three takeaways from the August 24 episode of WWE Raw.

1. Royce Keys and OTM Have Entered the Bloodline Story

The Raw main event began in the dispute between Roman Reigns’ family and the unexpected team of Solo Sikoa and LA Knight.

Knight opened the show by accusing Reigns of hiding behind his family. Solo then appeared in the crowd and thanked Knight for helping him against The Bloodline. Jimmy and Jey Uso interrupted, leading Solo to challenge them to a tag-team match later in the evening. Jacob Fatu wanted to accompany The Usos, but Jey ordered him to remain backstage. That decision left Jimmy and Jey without Fatu when the main event descended into disorder.

Royce Keys returned during the match and turned against the people he previously fought beside. Keys did not arrive alone, as NXT wrestlers Bronco Nima and Lucien Price appeared alongside him. Together, Nima and Price are known as Out The Mud, or OTM. Keys and OTM attacked the wrestlers involved in the match before leaving LA Knight and Solo Sikoa down at ringside as Raw went off the air.

Their arrival immediately placed the trio in one of Raw’s longest-running stories. OTM did not receive a gradual introduction through backstage videos or preliminary matches. WWE sent them directly into a situation involving The Usos, Solo, Knight and, by extension, Roman Reigns. Reigns is scheduled to return on the August 31 episode. He will now come back to a Raw roster where his family conflict has expanded beyond Solo and Knight. Jacob Fatu’s refusal to help The Usos also remains unresolved, giving Reigns several problems to address.

2. Either Penta or Rey Fenix Will Challenge Roman Reigns

The World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Tournament produced a final between brothers Penta and Rey Fenix. Fenix faced Dragon Lee in the first semifinal. Both wrestlers survived several finishing attempts before Fenix connected with the Mexican Muscle Buster to secure the pinfall. Dragon Lee accepted the result and raised Fenix’s hand after the match.

Penta then defeated La Parka in the second semifinal. La Parka survived the Sacrifice and pushed Penta through a competitive match, but Penta eventually connected with a springboard flip piledriver to advance. Fenix walked onto the stage following Penta’s victory. The brothers embraced as WWE confirmed that they would meet in the tournament final on August 31.

The winner will challenge Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship when Raw travels to Mexico City on September 14. WWE has therefore given Penta and Fenix a reason to put their partnership aside for one night.

Both men have spent much of their careers working together as the Lucha Brothers, but only one can receive the championship match. Their shared history should make the final different from a standard tournament contest because each wrestler will understand the other’s offense. Reigns is also appearing on the same episode as the final. WWE could have the champion watch the match closely or confront the winner once his next challenger has been decided.

3. Becky Lynch Has Placed Herself Between Stephanie Vaquer and Liv Morgan

Stephanie Vaquer returned to in-ring competition against Roxanne Perez after recovering from The Judgment Day’s previous attack. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez accompanied Perez and repeatedly attempted to influence the match. Morgan pulled Vaquer’s leg while Rodriguez occupied the referee, but Becky Lynch’s entrance music interrupted their plan.

Vaquer sent Morgan into the steel steps before looking toward Lynch. Perez tried to use that moment to her advantage, but Vaquer avoided a moonsault and hit a butterfly backbreaker-lungblower combination for the victory. Lynch did not attack Vaquer after the match. She entered the ring, stared at her and then walked away.

Her actions prevented The Judgment Day from controlling the closing portion of the match, but that does not necessarily mean she has become Vaquer’s ally. Lynch previously warned Vaquer that she would remain a problem as long as Vaquer continued pursuing Morgan’s Women’s World Championship. Vaquer has made it clear that she wants her championship back from Morgan. Lynch also wants to remain involved in the title picture, while Rodriguez and Perez continue protecting Morgan.

The Raw women’s division is now developing around several wrestlers chasing connected goals. Vaquer wants Morgan, Lynch wants to stop Vaquer from reaching the champion, and The Judgment Day wants to keep control of both women’s singles titles. Lynch walking away without attacking Vaquer kept her intentions unclear. She may have helped Vaquer on this occasion, but their disagreement over the Women’s World Championship has not ended.
