Box Office: Article 370 First Sunday/Third Day Early Estimates
Mumbai, February 25 - Yami Gautam-fronted Article 370 has had a very good first weekend at the domestic box office, scoring around 23 crores net over 3 days. In an encouraging sign, the films showed good growth over the weekend.

According to early estimates, the political thriller minted 9.50-10 crores net collection on its first Sunday. The jump is around 25% from Saturday collection of approximately 7.50 crores net which is a very good improvement for a movie with limited audiences.

It will be a litmus test for the movie on Monday which is considered a make-or-break day as far as the box office prospects. Article 370 has been getting wide appreciation among audiences and with the kind of subject it has, the movie is in a good position to do well but how far it can go will be known only after Monday test.

Meanwhile, Vidyut Jammwal's sports actioner Crakk failed to score a jump on Sunday after an underwhelming Saturday. As per the early estimates, the movie minted around 2.40 crores net today, pushing the total collection to around 8.75 crores after the first three days.

Thalapathy Vijay's Electoral Victory Could Be A Big Jolt To The Tamil Nadu Box Office

BY SACNILK

Chennai, May 9 - The Tamil film industry is probably changing forever with Thalapathy Vijay, arguably the biggest crowd puller in modern Tamil cinema, set to become the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Vijay winning the Assembly Elections is not just a political earthquake — it could also become a massive turning point for the Tamil Nadu box office ecosystem. With the actor-turned-politician now set to take charge as the Chief Minister after Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam crossed the majority mark with alliance support, the industry is entering completely uncharted territory. For nearly two decades, Vijay has been one of the biggest driving forces of the Tamil Nadu theatrical market. His films consistently generated record openings, massive festival revenues, and unmatched fan-driven theatrical celebrations. From single screens to multiplex chains, exhibitors heavily depended on a Vijay release to revive business during weak phases. His absence from full-time cinema after entering politics leaves a huge vacuum that may not be easy to fill immediately. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The Tamil Nadu box office has historically revolved around superstar-led event films, and Vijay was arguably the strongest theatrical force in the 21st century. His transition from actor to full-time politician means distributors, exhibitors, and producers could now lose the safest commercial bet in the state. Trade circles are already discussing how the industry will adapt without annual Vijay blockbusters dominating Pongal, Diwali, or summer windows. Superstar Rajinikanth is still active in cinema and continues to command a massive fan following and theatrical pull. However, the age factor is becoming increasingly significant, and the industry cannot realistically expect him to consistently headline multiple large-scale commercial entertainers every year for a long period. While Rajinikanth remains a gigantic force, Tamil cinema also needs younger stars to consistently deliver blockbuster numbers to maintain market stability. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Thala Ajith Kumar is another big crowd puller, but he does films every two years, which is not helping the industry to continue to flow. Kamal Haasan is another legendary name carrying Tamil cinema globally, but his films have not matched the box office dominance that Vijay and Rajinikanth films traditionally achieved in Tamil Nadu. Though Kamal continues to experiment with ambitious subjects and large-scale productions, the theatrical consistency seen with peak Vijay releases has largely been missing. The bigger concern for the Tamil industry is the lack of dependable next-generation box office giants. Actors like Suriya, Sivakarthikeyan, Dhanush, Karthi, and others certainly have strong fan bases and respectable market value, but most of them have struggled to consistently deliver 100 crore grossers in Tamil Nadu and overseas markets. Some films open well, while others collapse quickly, creating instability for distributors and exhibitors. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) This inconsistency has slowly created a serious crisis within the Tamil film industry. Rising production costs, increasing actor remunerations, weak theatrical recoveries, and inconsistent success of mid-budget films have already put pressure on producers. Vijay's possible permanent exit from cinema could further intensify that situation because his films were among the few guaranteed theatrical events capable of generating massive advances and recovery across all distribution territories. However, Vijay's political success could indirectly help the industry in another way. A film star becoming Chief Minister may strengthen cinema's influence within Tamil Nadu's cultural and policy ecosystem. Issues related to ticket pricing, theatre taxation, piracy, and industry regulations may receive greater attention under a leadership that deeply understands the business side of cinema. Still, from a pure box office perspective, Vijay's electoral victory is undeniably a huge jolt for Tamil cinema. The industry is now entering an uncertain transition phase where the absence of a consistent mega-blockbuster star could expose deeper structural weaknesses within the Tamil theatrical market. Vijay's last film, Jana Nayagan, after going through multiple release delays, is set to release later this month.

Krishnavataram Part 1 Box Office: The Devotional Epic Earns 50 Lakh On Opening Day; Eyes Big Growth On Day 2

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, May 8 - The devotional epic Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart has opened to a modest start at the Indian box office, but the film is expected to witness significant growth over the weekend due to positive audience reactions and strong appeal among family audiences. Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the film generated a decent buzz with its visually stunning trailer and true retelling of Lord Krishna's journey. The advance booking indicated a low start, as the movie has earned around fifty lakh gross on its opening day at the Indian box office. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) While the start is on the lower side, considering the scale of the production, the makers and exhibitors remain optimistic because devotional and mythological films often gain momentum after word-of-mouth spreads among audiences, and this is happening with the film on the second day. The positive response after the first day is clearly reflected in the second day footfalls, as the film is looking to score more than 100% growth. In fact, it is trending on BookMyShow with hourly ticket sales topping 1K+, which is a clear indication of word of mouth doing its thing. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Krishnavataram Part 1 explores the journey of Lord Krishna from Dwarka to Kurukshetra while blending themes of devotion, destiny, and sacrifice. Mounted on a grand scale, the movie is planned as the first instalment in a trilogy and has been released in multiple languages to target a wider audience base.

Michael Tops 50 Crore Gross As Devil Wears Prada 2 Scores 22 Crore First Week In India; Project Hail Mary Finishes With 85+ Crore Gross

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, May 8 - The Hollywood films are on a winning spree at the Indian box office with back-to-back successes. After Ryan Gosling's Project Hail Mary struck an unlikely big success, Michael Jackson's biopic, Michael, followed suit to join the Hollywood hits at the Indian box office. Michael Crosses A Major Milestone (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Michael has turned out to be one of the strongest performers among recent Hollywood releases. Despite competition from multiple local films and changing audience trends, the movie has maintained impressive momentum during its theatrical run and officially crossed the 50 crore gross milestone worldwide. The cult following of Pop King, along with decent word of mouth, has played a major role in the film's success. In two weeks (14 days), the musical biopic has grossed approximately 53 crores at the Indian box office, and is currently the second-highest-grossing Hollywood film in the country. Michael scored around 22 crores gross in the second week, dropping by just around 30% from the opening frame. With a steady run, the film will be looking to finish its theatrical run in India at 70+ crores gross, a solid number for a niche subject. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The Devil Wears Prada 2 Ends First Week With 22 Crore In India Hollywood comedy-drama sequel Devil Wears Prada 2, starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, has wrapped up its first week in India with a collection of around 22 crore gross. The film opened to decent urban occupancy and performed best in metro cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad. It will be aiming to finish its run with around 40 crore gross. Project Hail Mary Finishes With 85+ Crore Gross The biggest Hollywood success story of 2026 at the Indian box office, Project Hail Mary, has almost concluded its theatrical run. While the film failed to reach the 100 crores gross mark, it managed to clock 85+ crores gross, a solid result for a sci-fi space film. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Even though the movie is still playing in limited theatres, sustaining a collection with growing competition will make it tough to retain showcasing, especially with a slowing trajectory. In six weeks (43 days) so far, Project Hail Mary has minted 85.50 crores gross, with very little room to score more. With Michael crossing a major milestone, Devil Wears Prada 2 delivering a steady India run, and Project Hail Mary ending with blockbuster numbers, Hollywood films continue to maintain a visible presence at the Indian box office, with major blockbusters yet to come in the form of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, Avengers: Doomsday, Dune Part 3, and Jumanji: Open World, among many others.

Peddi Advance Booking (North America): Ram Charan Starrer Hits $100K In No Time

BY SACNILK

Hyderabad, May 8 - The advance booking storm for superstar Ram Charan starrer Peddi has officially begun in North America, and the response has been nothing short of phenomenal. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the highly-anticipated sports action drama crossed the $100K mark in premiere pre-sales within no time of bookings opening, setting the stage for what could become one of the biggest sales for a Telugu. The film's pre-sales momentum has already surpassed the early booking record of almost every Indian film in North America, with the fastest $100K booking in just 4 hours. Trade circles are now closely tracking Peddi's pace as the buzz continues to grow rapidly among overseas audiences, especially in the USA, where Ram Charan enjoys huge popularity following the global success of RRR. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) North America Premiere Pre-Sales In The First 24-Hours (Telugu) S. Trade believes the film has the potential to emerge as one of the biggest premiere grossers, not for the actor but also for an Indian film, if the current trend continues over the coming weeks. The promotional material, songs, and the rustic sports-drama backdrop have generated strong curiosity among audiences. Produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment on a massive scale, Peddi features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead alongside an ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu. The music has been composed by A. R. Rahman, while the film is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026, with a North American premiere on June 3rd.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge reaching its 50th day is more than just a box office milestone; it represents a fundamental shift in the landscape of Indian cinema. In an era where most big-budget films struggle to stay relevant beyond their third week, this sequel has managed to maintain its grip on the audience through sheer narrative scale and technical excellence. The impact it has left is profound, as it restored the big-screen event experience that had become a rarity. By blending uncompromising action with a gritty, deep-rooted story, director Aditya Dhar created a film that did not just follow trends but set entirely new benchmarks for what an Indian blockbuster can achieve. The scale of this production was a gamble that paid off in ways the industry is still trying to digest. Choosing an A-rating and a runtime that exceeded typical commercial standards usually limits a film potential, but here, it actually helped the movie find its core audience. It brought back a sense of life to the theaters, especially in the Hindi belt, where the demand for high-quality, high-stakes cinema was at an all-time high. The success of the Dhurandhar franchise has now set a gold standard for sequels, proving that if the vision is bold enough, the audience will stay committed for months, not just days. It has set a high bar of expectations that every upcoming project will now find difficult to match. As we look at the numbers on day 50, the film is still going strong with 721 shows across India. According to the live tracking for today, it has already netted 0.36 crore, which pushes the total India net collection to a staggering 1,140.53 crore. The domestic gross has now reached 1,365.03 crore. These figures are not just records; they are a testament to the film durability. By day 46, it achieved the historic feat of surpassing the worldwide gross of the legendary Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which stood at 1,788.06 crore. With this, it has officially claimed the second spot on the list of highest-grossing Indian films of all time globally, trailing only behind Dangal. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Beyond the total collection figures, the movie has rewritten the rulebook of Indian cinema by setting several unprecedented benchmarks. It is not just about the final tally but how quickly and consistently the film dominated various territories. Take a look at some of the industry firsts and records that Dhurandhar 2 has established during its historic 50-day run: The 1000 Crore Pioneer: It is the first-ever Hindi film to cross the ₹1,000 crore net mark in India. Sustained Momentum: It set a new industry benchmark by maintaining Hindi net collections of ₹40+ crore for 11 consecutive days. Fastest Milestones: It became the fastest Hindi film to reach ₹500 crore in 6 days and ₹1,000 crore worldwide in just 7 days. Unmatched Single Days: It remains the only movie to score over ₹100 crore net in Hindi in a single day twice. The Non-China/Gulf King: It is the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide excluding the China and Gulf markets. Australia and UK Leader: It emerged as the No. 1 Indian film of all time in Australia with over A$8M and the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in the United Kingdom with over £4.39M. After starting with an unprecedented 674.17 crore in its first week, it added 263.65 crore in the second week and continued its triple-digit streak into the third. Even as it entered its second month, the drops remained incredibly controlled. For the current seventh week, we are projecting a net collection of approximately 5.60 crore. For any project to still be earning over half a crore daily on its 50th day is an incredible show of strength that speaks to its massive repeat audience value. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The international market has been a massive pillar in this journey. In North America, the movie has reached a total gross of 28.56 million dollars, a figure that highlights its global appeal.Take a look at the day-wise breakdown of the overseas collections over the last seven weeks: Day 1: ₹64.00 CrDay 2: ₹32.50 CrDay 3: ₹52.85 CrDay 4: ₹60.65 CrDay 5: ₹21.57 CrDay 6: ₹18.43 CrDay 7: ₹11.92 CrDay 8: ₹12.08 CrDay 9: ₹22.00 CrDay 10: ₹29.00 CrDay 11: ₹17.00 CrDay 12: ₹8.00 CrDay 13: ₹8.00 CrDay 14: ₹7.00 CrDay 15: ₹5.00 CrDay 16: ₹5.00 CrDay 17: ₹11.00 CrDay 18: ₹8.00 CrDay 19: ₹5.00 CrDay 20: ₹3.00 CrDay 21: ₹2.00 CrDay 22: ₹2.00 CrDay 23: ₹2.00 CrDay 24: ₹3.50 CrDay 25: ₹3.00 CrDay 26: ₹0.75 CrDay 27: ₹1.25 CrDay 28: ₹0.65 CrDay 29: ₹0.50 CrDay 30: ₹0.85 CrDay 31: ₹1.50 CrDay 32: ₹1.10 CrDay 33: ₹0.40 CrDay 34: ₹0.50 CrDay 35: ₹0.25 CrDay 36: ₹0.25 CrDay 37: ₹0.50 CrDay 38: ₹0.75 CrDay 39: ₹0.50 CrDay 40: ₹0.25 CrDay 41: ₹0.25 CrDay 42: ₹0.20 CrDay 43: ₹0.20 CrDay 44: ₹0.25 CrDay 45: ₹0.35 CrDay 46: ₹0.25 CrDay 47: ₹0.15 CrDay 48: ₹0.10 CrDay 49: ₹0.05 Cr (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The digital engagement on platforms like BookMyShow is another indicator of how deep the film influence has penetrated. The journey of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is a rare scenario where a movie has not only broken historical records but has also set an unreachable bar for the scale of Indian sequels. It leaves behind a legacy that will be the reference point for the industry for years to come, proving that uncompromising cinema can lead to unprecedented success.

Dhurandhar 2 OTT Release Date: What To Expect From Ranveer Singh's All-Time Blockbuster?

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, May 7 - Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has already created history at the global box office with 1800 crores gross collection, and now the focus has shifted towards its much-awaited OTT release. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the action spectacle turned into a worldwide phenomenon during its theatrical run and emerged as the second-highest-grossing Indian film ever made. After dominating cinemas for weeks, audiences are now eagerly waiting to watch the blockbuster from the comfort of their homes. Dhurandhar 2 OTT Release Date and Streaming Partner (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Although the makers are yet to officially announce the streaming premiere date, the film is expected to arrive on the platform sometime this month (May 2026), most probably in the third week of May. It has increasingly become a norm that Bollywood films arrive on digital platforms after 8 weeks of theatrical run. The film will complete an 8-week window on May 13, and it may arrive anytime soon after that. JioHotstar has the streaming rights of the movie, a change in strategy after the first Dhurandhar debuted on Netflix after a theatrical run. What To Expect From Streaming Release (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Dhurandhar, which was released in theatres in December last year, was a massive success for Netflix despite most of the target audience watching it in theatres. The film pulled off massive box office numbers as one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever, with 1300+ crores worldwide, but what led to a huge response on Netflix was also the curiosity around Dhurandhar 2, which released in theatres on March 19. It clocked nearly 32 million views, making it one of the most-watched Indian films on streaming. While the makers are expecting similar numbers for Dhurandhar 2 on JioHotstar, that might not be possible due to various reasons. The film doesn't have the advantage of curiosity, unlike the first film, for which the anticipation for part two led to big numbers. Secondly, a higher number of people than Dhurandhar has already watched the sequel in theatres, so that may also reduce the digital views for the film. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The OTT release of Dhurandhar 2 is still expected to become a major event in itself, considering the unprecedented box office run, but it might not be able to pull off similar numbers to the first film. Even though the expectations are high, scoring such big numbers again is unlikely to happen. Dhurandhar Franchise Reaches New Heights The film's historic box office success has firmly established the Dhurandhar franchise among the biggest cinematic brands in Indian cinema today. With unfiltered action, patriotic themes, stylish storytelling, and a strong emotional core, the sequel managed to connect with audiences across languages and regions. It is the highest-grossing Indian film series with 3100 crores worldwide collection across both films.

Kara Week 1 Box Office Collection: Struggles To Maintain Momentum; Nets 28.73 Cr In 7 Days

BY SACNILK

Kara has wrapped up its opening week on a relatively low note, failing to maintain the momentum it showed during its initial two days. On its seventh day, the film collected 1.58 crore net across India, which is a 21 percent decline from Tuesday's 2.00 crore. This brings the first-week total net collection to 28.73 crore, with the domestic gross standing at 33.14 crore. For a film that started with over 6 crore on its opening day, finishing the week under the 30 crore mark indicates a lukewarm response from the general audience. The film's trajectory shows a clear struggle to sustain interest after the first Friday. While it peaked on its second day with 6.95 crore, the collections began to slide even on Saturday and Sunday, followed by a steep crash on Monday where it fell to 1.80 crore. Wednesday's performance confirms this downward trend. Language-wise, the Tamil version remains the only notable contributor with 1.11 crore from 2,217 shows on day 7, while the Telugu version added a minor 0.47 crore. Despite the wide release across Southern markets, the movie has found it difficult to generate significant footfalls beyond the opening weekend. In terms of the overall language performance, the Tamil version has predictably led the way as the film's primary market. During the first week, it netted 23.26 crore while seeing an average occupancy of 24.6 percent, showing that the home audience provided the most consistent support. The Telugu version further supplemented the collections by contributing 5.47 crore net, with its average occupancy standing at 18.6 percent. By bringing these two together, the movie finished its seven-day domestic run with a net total of 28.73 crore. Here is the breakdown of how the film performed across different regions on Wednesday: Tamil Nadu: ₹1.12 Cr AP-TG: ₹0.51 Cr Karnataka: ₹0.14 Cr Kerala: ₹0.02 Cr Rest of India: ₹0.01 Cr Total Day 7 Gross: ₹1.80 Cr In the national multiplex chains, Kara recorded a low turnout on its seventh day. Across PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, the film sold nearly 8,700 tickets, resulting in a gross of around 10.8 lakh. PVR was the primary contributor among the three, grossing nearly 6.9 lakh, while INOX and Cinepolis followed with roughly 3 lakh and just over 1 lakh, respectively. With an average occupancy of less than 7% in these chains, the film is struggling to draw urban audiences as it moves into its second week. On the global front, Kara has grossed a total of 10.25 crore in the overseas markets over its first week. This brings the worldwide gross collection to 43.29 crore. The international trend saw its peak on Saturday with 2.75 crore gross, followed by a gradual decline during the weekdays. The film overall seems to be heading towards an average lifetime total, especially if it manages to hold its screen count during the second weekend. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Digital interest on BookMyShow has also slowed down significantly following the opening weekend. The film has sold a total of 5.49 lakh tickets on the platform so far, with a visible gap between the initial three days and the weekday performance. Here is the day-wise breakdown of tickets booked through the app during the first week: Pre-sales: 67,000 Thursday: 118,500 Friday: 133,040 Saturday: 93,860 Sunday: 75,350 Monday: 21,200 Tuesday: 21,590 Wednesday: 18,640 As the film enters its second week, the sharp drop in ticket sales—from over 1.3 lakh on Friday to just 18.6K on Wednesday—suggests that the initial curiosity has faded quite quickly. While it has managed to cross the 40 crore mark worldwide, the heavy reliance on the first two days is evident. Without a significant turnaround in the second weekend, the movie is likely to finish its theatrical run with an average lifetime collection, as new releases will begin to take over its existing screen space.

Patriot Box Office: Mammootty, Mohanlal Starrer Is Free Fall After Strong Weekend

Kochi, May 7 - Malayalam cinema has produced several successful films over the last few years, but the industry's ambitious big-budget ventures continue to face major hurdles at the box office. Director Mahesh Narayanan's spy action thriller Patriot, headlined by legendary stars Mammootty and Mohanlal, was initially expected to emerge as a landmark global blockbuster for Mollywood, but it is now witnessing a sharp downward trend after a promising start. Released amid massive expectations and strong pre-release buzz, Patriot opened to an impressive worldwide gross of around 28 crores on its opening day. The film collected more than 60 crores globally during its first three-day weekend, giving hope for a long theatrical run. However, the weekend trend itself indicated that sustaining momentum during weekdays could become difficult, and the collections have now dropped heavily since Monday. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The spy thriller is currently struggling to even touch the 100 crore milestone worldwide. The film's first-week total is expected to finish in the range of 75 crores gross globally. Mixed word of mouth and the film's niche subject appear to have impacted its performance beyond the initial weekend rush. In six days so far, Patriot has grossed around 30.25 crores in India, while the overseas market has contributed an estimated 42 crores, taking the worldwide cumulative total to approximately 72 crores gross. Reportedly mounted on a massive budget of nearly 125 crores, Patriot ranks among the most expensive Malayalam films ever made. Unfortunately, this is not the first time a high-budget Mollywood film has failed to meet expectations at the box office. Back in 2024, Mohanlal's Malaikottai Vaaliban also ended up as a commercial disappointment. Despite strong hype before release, the film failed to gross even 30 crores worldwide against a reported budget of over 60 crores and was eventually declared a disaster. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Mohanlal's Empuraan, the sequel to his blockbuster Lucifer (2019), also failed to meet its full potential despite being the second-highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time with around 267 crores gross worldwide. It had an earthshattering opening of around 70 crores with a 4-day opening weekend, grossing a mammoth 173 crores. However, the mixed word of mouth dented its collection beyond the weekend, and despite emerging as a commercial success story, it somehow fell short of industry expectations.

Raja Shivaji Box Office: A Strong Second Weekend On The Cards Amid Faded Competition

Mumbai, May 7 - Riteish Deshmukh's historical action drama Raja Shivaji is rewriting box office history for Marathi cinema with record-breaking collection. Released amid some hype in Maharashtra, the film has collected approximately 58 crores gross and is heading towards finishing the first week with around 62 crores gross, which will be the record week for a Marathi film. No major release this Friday, the Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company's blockbuster is expected to remain the first choice of moviegoers this weekend, with a big jump expected in the Maharashtra region. Raja Shivaji will not have an entirely free run though, as a few films are releasing this coming Friday. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Kapil Sharma and Neetu Kapoor's Daadi Ki Shaadi, along with Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (May 7), Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Main Actor Nahin Hoon, and comedy-mystery-satire Dug Dug, are among the notable Hindi releases this week. The Hollywood film Mortal Kombat II is also hitting theatres, but neither film is expected to challenge Raja Shivaji in terms of numbers. The low-key competition leaves Raja Shivaji as the only major title to perform in the coming days, even though there is Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla running successfully, but it will already be in its 4th week. While Riteish Deshmukh's directorial and starring will lose some screens to the new releases, it will be looking to score around 30 crores gross in its second weekend, which will put it within touching distance of the 100 crores mark. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) As reported earlier, Raja Shivaji is currently the 4th biggest Marathi film of all-time, and it is expected to be number 2 at the end of the second weekend, behind only Sairat, which minted 110 crores gross collection. It is certain to become only the second Marathi film ever to reach 100 crores gross mark and eventually top the top seeder to become the new all-time blockbuster Marathi cinema.
