Latest Rumor On The 2023 Royal Rumble Match Winner

Everything is bigger in Texas and in 2023 the 36th Annual Royal Rumble will be no exception. The road to WrestleMania begins with 30 men and 30 women vying for a chance at immortality a championship opportunity in the main events of WrestleMania.

This year WrestleMania goes Hollywood at Sofi stadium and the long arduous Journey Begins at the Royal Rumble. This year's event will mark a record-setting fourth time San Antonio has hosted the Royal Rumble and a third time in Alamodome. The first time was in 1997 when the Texas rattlesnake won his first, Rumble Match.

Over the weeks, there has been a lot of confusion on who would win the 2023 Royal Rumble to earn a chance to challenge the WWE Undisputed Universal champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

Dave Meltzer also provided an update on the likelihood of Reigns’ opponent being ‘The Great One’, and also noted that there isn’t currently a guarantee that whoever faces Reigns at WrestleMania will be taking the titles from him.

“I don’t know that they’re willing to have anybody beat Roman Reigns. Obviously Dwayne Johnson wasn’t beating Roman Reigns to win the title. Obviously Cody Rhodes’ name was in the mix and the way that storyline was, he almost had to win. But that doesn’t mean he would have won. I think people have an idea (of the Royal Rumble winner) as far as, it’s either gonna be Cody, it’s gonna be Sami, or they’re gonna bring in an outsider. Everything that’s happened in the last week or so, I don’t think it’s Dwayne. I was told it wasn’t and all indications are it’s not.”
