Riteish Deshmukh imitates funny dialogue between Salman Khan and reality show singer

Mumbai, April 23 (IANS) Riteish Deshmukh has come up with a hilarious TikTok video, where he imitates a funny conversation between Salman Khan and Asma Rafi, a contestant of a singing reality show that happened a few years ago.

In the original episode of the singing reality show, Salman Khan had requested the contestant to sing his popular song "Chunari chunari" (from the 1999 superhit "Biwi No. 1") in Arabic. Asma, who hails from Oman, said she only knew the Hindi version -- that too, learned with great difficulty. When the superstar asked her to sing any other Arabic song, she replied with a smile: "Na kar Salman na Kar!"

In the hilarious TikTok video, Riteish Deshmukh imitates Asma while someone mouths Salman's lines from behind!

Riteish has been keeping fans entertained during the lockdown period by sharing many funny TikTok videos featuring himself.

In a recent video, the actor and his wife Genelia performed to the melodious number "Mera dil bhi kitna paagal hai" from the musical hit "Saajan". The song was originally filmed on Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt.

Stay tuned...

Main Vaapas Aaunga Box Office Misses 100 Crore Mark As Imtiaz Ali Celebrates 50 Days of The Film

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 31 - Imtiaz Ali's Main Vaapas Aaunga has completed an impressive 50-day theatrical run, marking a major milestone for the emotional Partition-era drama starring Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, Vedang Raina, and Naseeruddin Shah. Celebrating the achievement, the filmmaker thanked audiences for embracing the film, which steadily grew through positive word of mouth despite a modest opening at the box office. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) While the film has enjoyed remarkable staying power, it has narrowly missed the coveted 100 crore worldwide gross milestone. Main Vaapas Aaunga has collected around 99.25 crore worldwide, falling just short of the landmark despite a rebound theatrical run. The film has earned approximately 65 crore net in India (around 77.25 crore gross) along with 22 crore from overseas markets, making it one of the better-performing Hindi sleeper successes of 2026. Released on June 12, 2026, the film overcame stiff competition from multiple high-profile releases thanks to glowing reviews, A.R. Rahman's music, and strong audience appreciation. Its consistent weekday holds transformed it from a slow starter into a genuine success story, proving that content-driven cinema can still enjoy a long theatrical life. Although the 100 crore worldwide mark now appears unlikely, Main Vaapas Aaunga has already exceeded most trade expectations. The film's 50-day theatrical run is an achievement in itself in today's fast-changing exhibition landscape, and it further strengthens Imtiaz Ali's reputation for delivering emotionally resonant stories that find their audience over time. Should Ranbir Kapoor Do Films Like Animal After Ramayana? Nitish Bharadwaj Shares His Opinion

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 31 - Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the biggest film of his career, Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, in which he plays Lord Rama. While the actor has earned praise for his intense performance in Animal, many fans have wondered whether taking on another ultra-violent role after portraying one of the most revered figures in Hindu history would be appropriate. Now, veteran actor Nitish Bharadwaj has weighed in on the debate. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In a detailed post on Instagram, Bharadwaj, who played Lord Krishna in BR Chopra’s classic television show Mahabharat, hailed Ramayana as a landmark achievement for Indian cinema. He wrote that the film deserves "100% Oscar for Best Foreign Film" and congratulated director Nitesh Tiwari, calling him "Bharat's next gift to world cinema after Satyajit Rai and Shekhar Kapoor." He also praised the production design, cinematography, VFX, AI-assisted visuals, and celebrated Hans Zimmer's collaboration with Indian cinema. The veteran actor further described Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh as "the next two unbeatable Dhurandhars" while welcoming Yash to "global cinema." (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) However, it was his message to Ranbir Kapoor that drew the most attention. He said that while he has always admired Ranbir as an actor, portraying Lord Rama brings a greater responsibility. He wrote, "RK, always loved you as an actor but now starts your social responsibility to uphold Bharat's heritage, values, culture & ethos. So no more ANIMAL even if the goldmine is offered to you. Plz do not pollute your Vaani anymore. Bharat has enough stories to satiate your acting prowess." His remarks suggest that he believes Ranbir should move away from ultra-violent films like Animal and instead choose stories that reflect India's cultural and spiritual heritage. The veteran actor also expressed hope that audiences would wholeheartedly accept Sai Pallavi as Sita and wished to hear Tulsidas' chaupais, accompanied by traditional instruments like the mridangam and manjira, to preserve the spiritual identity of the epic. Dhamaal 4 Week 3 Box Office: Nets Rs. 19.20 Cr with 46% Surge Over Total Dhamaal to Smash Franchise Records!

BY SACNILK

The Dhamaal franchise has always been about mindless fun and big ensemble casts, and with Dhamaal 4 entering its third week, the box office numbers suggest that the audience is still finding reasons to laugh. If you have been following the trajectory of this series, you would know that Total Dhamaal set a very high bar back in 2019. Now, three weeks into its run, the fourth installment has managed to pull off a significant feat by overtaking the domestic net collection of its predecessor, although the global crown is expected to remain out of reach. While it has conquered the Indian market, a lagging overseas performance combined with the arrival of major new releases like Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2 will likely halt its momentum. This shift is already becoming evident, as seen on Day 21 when the daily earnings slipped below the 1 Crore mark for the first time since its release. If we look at the start of the third week, the film showed a steady hold on Friday, Day 15, earning ₹2.25 Cr. What is interesting is the massive jump we saw on Saturday. The collections doubled to ₹4.50 Cr, representing a 100 percent growth. This trend continued into Sunday with a peak of ₹6.25 Cr. For a film in its third week, maintaining this kind of momentum over the weekend is a sign of healthy word-of-mouth. By the end of the weekend, the film had already pushed its India net total to nearly ₹150 Cr. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The real milestone moment arrived on Day 18, the third Monday. Despite the usual weekday drop to ₹1.60 Cr, the film officially crossed the ₹150 Crore net mark in India. More importantly, by the end of the week, the total India net stood at ₹155.85 Cr. This means Dhamaal 4 has now officially surpassed the ₹155.67 Cr lifetime net of Total Dhamaal, making it the highest-grossing film in the franchise domestically. It is quite a achievement to see a fourth film in a series still finding enough steam to set new internal records. However, the story changes slightly when we look at the global picture. Total Dhamaal ended its run with a worldwide gross of ₹232.18 Cr, largely supported by a very strong overseas performance of over ₹48 Cr. Dhamaal 4 currently sits at a worldwide gross of ₹215.29 Cr, with overseas contributions totaling about ₹30.05 Cr. While the domestic market has been conquered, the overseas market is not behaving with the same intensity. At this stage, it looks like beating the worldwide lifetime record of the previous film will be a difficult mountain to climb. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The overseas market added a steady stream to the tally throughout the third week, contributing a cumulative ₹2.40 Cr. While the weekend saw a peak of ₹0.50 Cr on both Saturday and Sunday, the numbers began to taper off significantly as the week progressed. By Thursday, the daily intake had dropped to just ₹0.10 Cr. This takes the total overseas gross to ₹30.05 Cr. This slow pace in international markets is the primary reason why the film, despite its record-breaking domestic success, is struggling to catch up to the worldwide records set by the previous installment. Occupancy trends throughout the week followed the typical weekend surge before settling into a weekday rhythm. Starting with 15.58 percent on Friday, the turnout peaked on Sunday at 34.52 percent. While Saturday night shows recorded the highest individual turnout at 36.69 percent, Sunday afternoon and evening slots were the busiest, both staying above 43 percent. The Tuesday discount offer had a visible impact, pushing the occupancy back up to 19.44 percent after it had dipped on Monday. With a notable reduction in shows on Thursday, the night screenings maintained a 24.31 percent occupancy. On BookMyShow, the film saw its highest traction on the third Sunday with over 88,000 tickets sold. A notable spike also occurred on Tuesday, Day 19, where sales jumped to 39,250 tickets, up from Monday's 27,900. This was largely driven by discount offers , where Tuesday sales hit a peak of 23,000 tickets at national chians. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) By Thursday, Day 21, we started to see the inevitable fatigue. The show count, which remained above 5,000 for most of the week, was slashed to 2,563 shows. This led to the daily collection dipping below the 1 Crore mark for the first time, ending the week at ₹0.85 Cr. Despite this drop, the cumulative performance for the week has been solid, contributing roughly ₹19.20 Cr to the total net. Ramayana Part 1 Trailer Wows Yet Leaves Fans Disappointed; Here Is Why

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 30 - The highly anticipated trailer for Ramayana Part 1 has received a positive response from audiences, with fans praising its stunning visuals, grand scale, and impressive casting. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the epic has generated massive excitement ahead of its release, with many calling it one of the most visually ambitious films ever produced in Indian cinema. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Among the biggest highlights of the trailer are the lead performances. Ranbir Kapoor has earned widespread appreciation for his calm and divine screen presence as Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi's graceful portrayal of Sita has also impressed viewers. Yash's menacing avatar as Ravana has created significant buzz and left audiences eager to see more of the antagonist in the film. However, one notable omission from the trailer has disappointed a section of fans –– Sunny Deol's Hanuman. Despite being one of the film's most anticipated characters, Hanuman does not make an appearance in the trailer. Many viewers took to social media to express that even a brief glimpse of Sunny Deol in the iconic role could have elevated the trailer to an even greater level. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) That said, the makers may have deliberately chosen to keep Hanuman's look under wraps. According to reports, Sunny Deol will have a limited role in Ramayana Part 1, reportedly appearing only during the film's climactic portions, while Ramayana Part 2 will feature the full-length role of one of the Chiranjeevis. By withholding his first look, makers may be preserving one of the franchise's biggest reveals for the theatrical experience and building anticipation for the sequel. Overall, the trailer has achieved exactly what it set out to do –– ignite excitement for Ramayana with its breathtaking visuals, faithful casting, and epic storytelling. While fans may have hoped for a glimpse of Sunny Deol's Hanuman, the decision to keep the character a surprise could ultimately make his on-screen debut even more impactful when the film arrives in cinemas. Part 1 is scheduled to release on Diwali this year. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})

Sanjay Leela Bhansali ditches standard teaser for Love and War; plans a massive immersive launch instead!

BY SACNILK

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always had a flair for the grand and the unconventional, and it looks like he is about to change the rules of the game once again with his upcoming project, Love and War. According to an exclusive report by Bollywood Hungama, the film—which features the powerhouse trio of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal—will not be starting its promotional journey with a typical teaser or a motion poster. Instead of the usual marketing route, the director is reportedly working on something far more ambitious. Bhansali is personally shaping a special promotional asset designed to be an immersive experience for the audience. This isn't just a standard clip or a still image; it is being crafted to serve as a proper introduction to the emotional depth and scale of the cinematic world he has built for this movie. The idea is to give fans a first glimpse that feels like a journey into the film's atmosphere rather than just a quick preview. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The project is currently in its final stages of development, with the filmmaker collaborating closely with his creative team to ensure the vision is perfect. The plan is to unveil this special asset sometime in August, which will mark the official start of the marketing campaign. By skipping the traditional teaser format, the aim is to create an event-like atmosphere that transports viewers straight into the essence of the story before they even see a full trailer. This strategy fits perfectly with Bhansali's philosophy that storytelling begins the moment a project is announced. He wants to capture the specific mood and scale of Love and War rather than just showing isolated character looks or a standard motion poster. Since this is the first time Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky are sharing the screen under his direction, the anticipation is already at a fever pitch, and this unique launch strategy is likely to amplify that buzz significantly. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Industry insiders are calling this a potential landmark in promotional history. It suggests that the movie is much more than a standard big-budget release; it is an experience that the director wants the audience to feel from the very first glimpse. If everything goes according to plan next month, fans will finally get their first taste of what is expected to be one of the biggest releases in the Hindi film industry in recent years.

From Ranbir Kapoor To Yash: Ramayana Stars Gear Up For Multiple Releases in the Span of Three Months

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 29 - The cast of director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1 is not only gearing up for one of the biggest Indian films ever made but is also preparing for an incredibly busy theatrical window. Several of the film's lead actors have two major releases within roughly three months, either before or after Ramayana Part 1, ensuring they remain in the spotlight throughout the festive season and into early 2027. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama, will first headline Ramayana Part 1, slated for a grand Diwali 2026 release, before reuniting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Love & War, which is scheduled to hit theatres on January 21, 2027. The gap between the two releases is less than three months, giving the actor back-to-back event films in completely different genres. Yash, who essays Ravana in Ramayana, will kick off his theatrical run with the action thriller Toxic on August 26, 2026, which will be his first release in 4 years since the mega blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2. He will then return to the big screen during the Diwali season with Ramayana Part 1, making it two of the year's biggest pan-Indian releases within a short span. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Sunny Deol is also set for a packed release schedule. The actor will first arrive with the period drama Batwara 1947 on August 14, 2026, before portraying Hanuman in Ramayana Part 1 during Diwali. He also has the emotional drama, Gabru, ready for release. Similarly, Sai Pallavi will be seen in Dhanush-fronted OM Chapter 1 on October 16, 2026, followed shortly by her portrayal of Sita in Ramayana Part 1. With blockbuster titles such as Toxic, Batwara 1947, OM, Ramayana Part 1, and Love & War arriving within a compact three-month window, the ensemble cast of Ramayana is poised to dominate the box office conversation. It is rare for so many stars from a single film to have multiple high-profile theatrical releases clustered so closely together, making the final months of 2026 and the beginning of 2027 particularly significant for Indian cinema.

Dhamaal 4 Day 19: Ajay Devgn's comedy set to beat Singham Returns, but can it break into the Top 3 of 2026?

BY SACNILK

Dhamaal 4 is showing surprising resilience as it moves through its third week. For a comedy franchise that relies on repeat value and family audiences, the film is holding its ground despite newer competition. On its nineteenth day, which was its third Tuesday, the movie brought in a net collection of 2.10 crore. This is a notable 31.3 percent jump from Monday's 1.60 crore, suggesting that the film is benefiting from mid-week theater-goers and perhaps a steady word-of-mouth trail. This growth is particularly impressive because the film is currently navigating a market with strong holdover like The Odyssey, which continues to see good traction in India. While it currently sits as the fourth highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year, catching up to Bhooth Bangla will be a challenge. The road ahead is packed with upcoming releases like Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2, plus the major Hollywood arrival of Spider-Man, which will make securing screens much tougher in the coming weeks. If we look at the broader picture, the India gross collection has now reached 182.32 crore, which translates to a domestic net total of 153.35 crore. The film has also found some traction abroad, adding 0.25 crore on Tuesday to bring its total overseas gross to 29.45 crore. Combining the domestic and international business, the worldwide gross for Dhamaal 4 now stands at 211.77 crore. This milestone is significant because it puts the film in striking distance of some of Ajay Devgn's biggest career hits. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Ticket sales on BookMyShow reflect this late-week surge. On Monday, the film sold about 27,900 tickets, but that number climbed to 39,250 on Tuesday. In total, the film has sold over 26.56 lakh tickets on the platform since its release. In the national cinema chains—PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis—it currently stands as the third highest-selling movie, trailing only behind the massive holdover of The Odyssey and the recent hit Jana Nayagan. Looking at the daily advance figures for these chains, the film generated a gross of approximately 32.3 lakh. This came from around 16.7 lakh at PVR, 11.1 lakh at INOX, and 4.5 lakh at Cinepolis, totaling roughly 23,400 tickets sold across these venues. The regional occupancy for the Hindi 2D version shows that the National Capital Region (NCR) remains a stronghold with 21.3 percent occupancy across 620 shows. Mumbai followed with 17.8 percent occupancy across 405 shows, while Pune recorded a healthy 17.3 percent. Other regions like Ahmedabad and Surat saw lower overall occupancy but maintained strong night show turnouts, often peaking near 26 to 29 percent. This trend of evening and night show growth is helping the film sustain its daily numbers. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In terms of annual rankings, Dhamaal 4 is currently the fourth highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year. It trails behind Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, Border 2, and Bhooth Bangla. While it is performing well, surpassing Bhooth Bangla might be a tall order. The upcoming schedule is crowded with major releases like Batwara and Awarapan on the domestic front, alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Spider-Man. Additionally, the continued dominance of The Odyssey makes it difficult for any holdover film to claim more screen space. For Ajay Devgn, this film is another strong addition to his box office portfolio. It is currently very close to surpassing Singham Returns, which earned 216.56 crore worldwide. Once it crosses that mark, it will cement its place among his most successful leading roles. To give you some context on where this film stands compared to his other major solo hits, here is the ranking of his top movies based on worldwide gross collection. Ramayana music rights deal reportedly locked as T Series makes a wild card entry with an industry breaking offer

BY SACNILK

The bidding war for the music rights of Namit Malhotra's Ramayana has taken a definitive turn just hours after the initial reports of a competition surfaced. In what is being described as a wild card entry, T-Series has reportedly secured the deal with a massive ₹75 crore offer. This development comes after Sony Music was leading the race earlier today with a ₹70 crore bid, while the production team was holding out for a target closer to ₹100 crore. According to reports from Lets Cinema, a formal handshake between the Ramayana team and T-Series took place today, with the official paperwork now underway to finalize the partnership. By offering ₹75 crore, T-Series has effectively locked the deal for the global music rights across all languages. This amount represents a new benchmark for the Indian music industry, comfortably surpassing the previous record of ₹54 crore held by Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The record-breaking valuation is largely driven by the high-profile nature of the film's score, which is a collaborative effort between Academy Award winners AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The combination of these two musical giants is seen as a central pillar of the film’s global appeal, justifying the premium price tag. For T-Series, this acquisition ensures that the soundtrack of one of India’s biggest ever productions will be backed by the country’s largest music label. While the makers were initially seeking a three-figure sum, the ₹75 crore deal is a significant win in terms of pre-release revenue. It marks an increase of nearly 40 percent over the highest previously recorded music deal for a Hindi film. With major distribution partnerships already in place with Dharma Productions and Sony Pictures, locking the music rights at such a high figure further strengthens the financial recovery strategy for the film as it moves toward its Diwali 2026 release.
