Bully Ray Says OTM and Royce Keys’ WWE Raw Attack Reminded Him Of The Nexus Invasion

Bully Ray believes OTM and Royce Keys produced one of the strongest endings to WWE Raw in recent memory. The WWE Hall of Famer said their attack on LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and The Usos reminded him of the night Nexus invaded Raw in 2010.

The Nexus arrived on the June 7, 2010 episode of Raw. Wade Barrett led the NXT group to the ring during a match between John Cena and CM Punk before its members attacked both wrestlers, officials and ringside personnel. They also destroyed the ring and barricade, leaving Cena down as the show ended.

The attack immediately established Nexus as a threat because most viewers were unfamiliar with the wrestlers before that night. Bully felt OTM and Royce created a similar feeling during the August 24, 2026 episode of Raw in Ottawa.

“I’m not talking about OTM and Royce Keys and comparing them apples to apples to anybody else, but the overall vibe of the ending of the show and the segment reminded me of something that was done in the past with WWE,” Bully said on Busted Open. “Remember when the Nexus invaded? I kind of got that same feeling last night.”

Royce returned during the show’s closing moments alongside OTM members Bronco Nima and Lucien Price. The three men attacked LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso before standing together in the ring. Bully particularly praised the moment when Royce struck Knight with the steel steps while Knight was hanging beneath the bottom rope.

“That attack looked really strong last night,” Bully said. “When LA Knight was hanging over the ropes and Royce came, you know, sideswiped him with the stairs, it looked excellent. Everything that those guys did looked excellent.”

Bully explained that the presentation protected OTM from receiving a quiet reaction. Some members of the Ottawa crowd may not have recognized Nima and Price when they removed their masks, but the attack gave fans an immediate reason to reject them.

“It’s not like these guys just slid in, laid somebody out, then pulled off the mask and just stood there for the people to go, ‘Who are you?’” he explained. “There was so much movement, so much chaos, so much destruction that the people by the end of the segment were forced to boo these guys.”

The group also targeted wrestlers who were receiving positive reactions. Fans were enjoying the exchanges between Knight and Solo, while The Usos continued to receive support despite their current roles. OTM and Royce ended that celebration by attacking everyone involved. Bully believes the group should remain physical before WWE gives them lengthy microphone time. He wants their actions to establish their characters before they explain their intentions.

“I want to see these guys kick ass, take names, rack up the bodies, and then I want to hear from them,” Bully said. “And when I hear from them, it needs to be as strong as the physicality.”
