Karuppu Second Single: Suriya Expresses Gratitude to Silambarasan TR for Peppy Track 'Naanga Naalu Peru'

The anticipation for Suriya’s upcoming fantasy action entertainer, Karuppu, continues to climb as the makers have officially released the film's second single. Titled "Naanga Naalu Peru," the peppy track features the vocals of Silambarasan TR (Simbu), adding a high-octane energy to the film’s soundtrack.

Following the song’s release, Suriya took to social media to share his appreciation for the Arasan actor. Welcoming the audience further into the world of Karuppu, Suriya introduced RJ Balaji’s character, Baby Kannan, and thanked Simbu for lending his voice to the special track. The collaboration between these two stars has already sparked significant excitement among fans on digital platforms.

Release date confirmed

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu is now officially set to hit theaters on May 14, 2026. While the film was initially speculated for a Diwali 2025 release, post-production requirements led to the new summer 2026 date. The film features Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, alongside a supporting cast that includes Yogi Babu, Natty Subramaniam, and Swasika.

The world of Karuppu

The movie explores the story of a lawyer (played by Suriya) who becomes possessed by a deity to seek justice for the marginalized. With music composed by Sai Abhyankkar, the film is expected to be a unique blend of fantasy elements and social commentary.
