HYDERABAD, August 27 — In an exciting development for Telugu cinema, the makers of Superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna's landmark 100th feature film (tentatively titled King 100) have reportedly confirmed that the official title and first glimpse will be unveiled on his birthday, August 29, 2026.
Backed by Annapurna Studios and directed by Tamil filmmaker Ra Karthik, the film has been kept largely under wraps so far. Ra Karthik, known for The Great Indian Kitchen (Tamil), is making his Telugu directorial debut with this project. The team is expected to reveal the official title and offer a glimpse into the film’s world on August 29.
The project also brings Nagarjuna and Tabu together once again. The two actors, who previously shared screen space in films including Ninne Pelladatha and Aavida Maa Aavide, are reuniting after several years. Tabu is said to be playing a pivotal role, adding further intrigue to the milestone project.
The film's story is reportedly centred around two friends, with Tamil actor Ravindra Vijay playing Nagarjuna's friend. The team recently shot portions in Mysuru, where veteran actor Sai Kumar also joined the cast. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for the film, which is being mounted on a grand scale.
