Top 5 Second Week Grossers In Hindi: Dhurandhar 2 Beats Pushpa 2 By 23% But Falls Short of Dhurandhar By Narrow Margin

Mumbai, April 3 - Director Aditya Dhar's spy action thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has concluded its second week on a strong note, following the footsteps of its predecessor to become only the second film ever to score 200+ crores net in the second week at the Hindi box office.

After the explosive first week with over 600 crore net, the Ranveer Singh-starrer remained the top performer this week in Hindi with 243.25 crores net in Hindi, despite a drop of 60% from the first week. The fact that the first week itself overperformed means the second week's hold is more than good enough to keep it going.

Despite the massive numbers, Dhurandhar 2 fell short of its predecessor's 253.25 crores net to finish second among the biggest second weekend grossers. However, the sequel has beaten Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is the third biggest second week grosser in Hindi with 196.50 crores net, by a big margin of 23%.

The total Hindi net collection of Pushpa 2: The Rule has reached 879 crores after two weeks (15 days), and it is already the biggest Hindi net grosser of all-time, ahead of Dhurandhar's 840 crores net and Pushpa 2's 812 crores net. These are only three films ever to cross 700 as well as 800 crores net mark in a single language at the Indian box office.

The first Dhurandhar, released in December last year, clocked 3.70 crores footfalls in Hindi, and the sequel is expected to beat this number in the coming days.

Dhurandhar Duology Tops 3000 Crores Worldwide; Creates History For Indian Cinema By Becoming The First Film Series To Do So

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, April 12 - The two-part Dhurandhar film series has scripted history at the global box office. With the phenomenal performance of both instalments, the combined worldwide gross of the duology has now surpassed the 3000 crore mark, making it the first Indian film series ever to achieve this extraordinary feat. The journey began with Dhurandhar, which was released to massive expectations and went on to deliver a blockbuster run, crossing the 1000 crore mark at the worldwide as well as domestic box office. The film established a strong foundation for what would eventually become one of Indian cinema's biggest franchises. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Dhurandhar - A Box Office Juggernaut and Foundation Stone Before the release of Dhurandhar on December 5, 2025, trade had doubts even though the film was carrying a decent buzz. However, once it hit the big screens, it was up and running for something very special at the box office. Audiences accepted the film with open arms, and with a never-ending debate around it, Dhurandhar became an unstoppable force at the global box office. The spy action thriller went on to become the highest-grossing film at the Hindi box office with 840+ crores net (1000+ crore gross) after an extraordinary hold over weeks. Worldwide, it finished its theatrical run with over 1300 crores, making it the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all-time, and the third biggest grosser without China. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Dhurandhar 2 - A New Peak For Indian Cinema Building on the momentum of the first film, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, which was released just four months after its predecessor, has taken things to an entirely new level. The Ranveer Singh-led action spectacle has turned into a box office juggernaut, amassing well over 1700 crore globally and continuing its dream run in several territories. It not only became the biggest Hindi net grosser, but also went on to become the first film ever to top 1000 crores net in a single language at the Indian box office. The duology's exceptional performance in both domestic and international markets has been instrumental in pushing the franchise past the historic 3000 crore milestone. Both films have not only crossed the ₹1000 crore benchmark individually but have also sustained strong theatrical runs, driven by repeat value, mass appeal, and high-octane storytelling. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the Dhurandhar series has redefined the scale of action filmmaking in Indian cinema. With its blend of patriotism, raw action, and rooted narrative, the franchise has struck a chord with audiences across demographics, not just in India but globally. The 3000 crore milestone is not just a number; it signifies a shift in the way Indian franchises are perceived on the global stage. For years, Indian cinema has produced individual blockbusters, but the Dhurandhar duology proves that multipart storytelling can now rival the biggest film series worldwide. Top 5 Biggest Third Week Grossers In Hindi: Dhurandhar 2 Clears 100 Crore Net To Beat Pushpa 2

Mumbai, April 10 - Director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its phenomenal box office run, delivering a massive third week at the domestic box office. The Ranveer Singh starrer has collected over 100 crore net in its third week (Hindi), maintaining its record-breaking momentum. 100+ Crore Net Third Week In Hindi The film raked in approximately 104.50 crore net in its third week in Hindi, surpassing the third-week Hindi collections of Pushpa 2, which stood at 103 crore. However, despite this strong performance, it couldn't match the extraordinary third-week figure of its predecessor, Dhurandhar, which had amassed a staggering 172 crore net. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Unlike the first film, which witnessed exceptional growth driven by strong word of mouth, Dhurandhar 2 has been heavily frontloaded. The sequel opened to massive curiosity and hype, largely fueled by the legacy of the original film and strong audience anticipation. Top 5 Biggest Third Week In Hindi S. It has already amassed over 980 crore net, and will be opening this exclusive club this weekend. How Far Dhurandhar 2 Can Go In Hindi? Dhurandhar 2 has already sold over 3.50 crores tickets in Hindi and is around the first film's 3.70 crores lifetime admissions. While the trajectory of the sequel is slowing down as compared to the first film, it should still be able to hit 4 crore admissions in the original Hindi version, which keeps it on course to finish around 1100 crores net in the Hindi version alone. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The trade was expecting Dhurandhar 2 to finish its Hindi run at around 1200+ crores net, which might not be possible now, given the trend and new releases next week. Irrespective of where the film ends its theatrical run, it has already etched its name in history and created records which will be hard nut to crack for upcoming films. In the immediate future, Ramayana is coming later this year, which has the potential to beat Dhurandhar 2's numbers, which needs to be seen.

Dhurandhar On Netflix Tops 30 Million Views: Analysing Weekly Viewership Breakdown

Mumbai, April 8 - Director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar has turned into a remarkable success story digitally, as the film has now crossed the 30 million views milestone on Netflix globally. After a historic theatrical run of over 1300 crores, the Ranveer Singh starrer has continued to attract audiences worldwide, proving the strength of its content and franchise appeal. Dhurandhar was originally released on December 5, 2025, and became a massive box office success. After creating history at the ticket window, the spy action thriller was made available on Netflix, after an 8-week theatrical run. It took the streamer by storm and shattered viewership records. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) A Strong Start Sets The Tone Dhurandhar opened to an impressive 7.6 million views in its first week, immediately grabbing the top spot on global charts. Interestingly, the film didn't slow down in its second week—instead, it grew further to 8.2 million views, indicating strong word-of-mouth and repeat value among viewers. This kind of upward trend in the second week is rare for streaming releases, especially after a huge box office run, and highlights the film's strong connect with audiences across markets. Mid-Run Dip Was Expected (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Like most OTT releases, Dhurandhar witnessed a gradual decline in viewership after its initial peak. From Week 3 onwards, numbers dropped to 2.9 million, followed by a steady slide through the subsequent weeks. While the drop may seem significant, the film managed to stay consistently within the platform's trending list, showcasing sustained interest. Sequel Effect Sparks A Comeback The real twist in Dhurandhar's OTT journey came later. With the buzz surrounding Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, the original film witnessed a surprising resurgence. In Week 8, when Dhurandhar 2 hit the big screens, viewership of the first film jumped to 2.3 million, followed by an even stronger 3 million in Week 9, and 1.8 million in the 10th week. This late surge played a crucial role in pushing the film past the 30 million total views mark, a rare achievement for an Indian film on streaming. Dhurandhar maintained a Top 10 presence for ten consecutive weeks, even trending in multiple countries during its run. The film has now entered the league of the most-watched Indian titles on Netflix, outperforming several recent big-ticket releases. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge Downs Dhurandhar To Become Biggest Hindi Net Grosser

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, March 31 - In less than two weeks, director Aditya Dhar's spy action thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has outnumbered its predecessor to become the highest-grossing film in Hindi at the domestic box office, and is now marching towards the 1000 crore club. Released four months ago, Dhurandhar stormed the box office with record-breaking numbers and eventually became the biggest Hindi net grosser with 840 crores, beating Pushpa 2's 812 crores. However, the record didn't last long as Dhurandhar 2 has climbed to number 1 in just 13 days. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The Ranveer Singh-starrer scored around 818 crores net in 12 days, and on its second Tuesday (13th day), the film is looking to earn around 25 crores in Hindi. This will take its total Hindi net past the first film, effectively making it the biggest Hindi blockbuster of all-time. The pace at which Dhurandhar: The Revenge is breaking records is remarkable. While it always looked like it would become the biggest blockbuster after the massive success of Dhurandhar, no one saw it doing this in under two weeks, which is something for the history books. Dhurandhar 2 Drops 23% on 2nd Monday vs Part 1, Yet Dominates Worldwide; Rare Franchise Trend Backed by Massive BMS Sales

BY SACNILK

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is rewriting box office history across India and overseas, but its Day 12 trend has thrown up a rare and surprising statistic — one that goes against the usual sequel dominance pattern seen in major film franchises. On its 2nd Monday (Day 12), Dhurandhar 2 collected ₹25.30 crore net across 17,614 shows, with the Hindi net alone contributing ₹23.50 crore. While these numbers are strong by industry standards, they fall short when compared to Dhurandhar Part 1, which had collected ₹30.50 crore on its 2nd Monday. This indicates an approximate drop of around 23% compared to the prequel at the same stage. What makes this trend even more surprising is the fact that Dhurandhar 2 has already surpassed the lifetime collections of its predecessor by a massive margin. By its 2nd Monday, the sequel had raced past ₹1,042.23 crore India gross and ₹872.17 crore India net, while its worldwide total had reached ₹1,392.23 crore, including ₹350 crore from overseas markets. For comparison, Dhurandhar Part 1 had collected ₹381.25 crore India net by its 2nd Monday, with a worldwide total of ₹588 crore and ₹130.50 crore coming from overseas markets during the same period. Despite Dhurandhar 2's massive overall lead in collections, the 2nd Monday trend clearly shows that the original film had a stronger hold on that specific weekday. This unusual pattern is further highlighted by BookMyShow ticket sales data for the 2nd Monday, where Dhurandhar registered 571K ticket sales, significantly ahead of Dhurandhar 2, which recorded 375K ticket sales. Other major films like Chhaava (371K), Jawan (294K), and Stree 2 (233K) followed behind, reinforcing how strong the original Dhurandhar's weekday traction was. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Franchise Movies – 2nd Monday India Net Collection Comparison FRANCHISE PREQUEL – 2nd MONDAY SEQUEL – 2nd MONDAY Dhurandhar ₹ 30.50 Cr ₹ 25.30 Cr Pushpa ₹ 4.70 Cr ₹ 26.95 Cr Baahubali ₹ 3.80 Cr ₹ 30.00 Cr In most major franchises, sequels tend to outperform prequels across all phases, including weekdays, due to higher hype and wider reach. Films like Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2 saw consistent growth over their predecessors in almost every metric. However, Dhurandhar is emerging as a rare case where the sequel has completely dominated the overall box office but still trails the original in a key trend like the 2nd Monday hold. This indicates that while Dhurandhar 2 is operating on a much larger scale with bigger openings and faster record-breaking totals, the first film had exceptionally strong weekday stability driven by word of mouth and repeat value. It also reflects how weekday trends can sometimes tell a different story compared to overall box office dominance. From record-breaking openings to historic worldwide totals and strong sustained collections, Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate the box office. Yet, this 2nd Monday comparison adds an interesting layer to its box office journey, proving that even in the era of massive sequels, certain benchmarks set by original films can still stand tall.
