Toxic Box Office Collection Day 1 Live Update: Yash Starrer Starts With A Bang; Smashes 1.67 Million Tickets In Pre-Sales On BMS

The wait is finally over. Yash's much-awaited Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has hit screens worldwide today, ending a four-year wait for fans following the historic success of KGF: Chapter 2. And if the advance booking numbers are anything to go by, the film is headed for a thunderous start at the box office. Ever since the promotions kicked off, the buzz around the film has only grown louder, with fans across Karnataka and beyond counting down the days for the Rocking Star's return to the big screen. The advance booking trend has been nothing short of spectacular. In India alone, pre-release sales have already crossed the ₹58 crore mark (without block seats), with over 18 lakh tickets sold across more than 25,000 shows — numbers that put Toxic in the conversation for one of the biggest openers in Indian cinema this year. Add block seats to the mix, and the India advance booking figure climbs further to around ₹73 crore.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film opened to packed houses across India, particularly in the Karnataka circuit, where the Yash-mania is at its absolute peak. Early trade reports and a record-breaking pre-sales campaign, with the Kannada version alone grossing a massive ₹18 crore in advance sales, suggest that Toxic is on track to deliver one of the biggest opening days in Indian cinema history.

The film's pre-release performance was nothing short of historic, with India advance bookings crossing the ₹73.43 crore gross mark (including block seats). For Day 1 alone, the film sold over 18.48 lakh tickets across 25,654 scheduled shows, yielding an advance gross of ₹58.27 crore. On the global stage, the total pre-sales touched a staggering ₹85 crore, signaling a massive worldwide takeover.

Initial audience reactions are trickling in, with massive praise for Yash's towering screen presence and the film's international visual scale. While the action choreography and cinematography are being hailed as world-class, early word-of-mouth remains slightly divided. Some viewers have noted a KGF hangover in the narrative execution, leading to a mixed critical response. However, the ground-level demand remains unfazed as spot bookings for evening and night shows continue to surge.
