Mumbai, May 5 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's long-awaited sports biographical drama film Maidaan might be pushed further as Bollywood sees another big release date shuffle with the summer 2023 releases. ## Shah Rukh Khan-fronted action entertainer Jawan, which was scheduled to release on June 2, will now reportedly be hitting worldwide theaters on August 25 this year. It has made other films change their plans after a few films already postponed their release dates. ## As per the latest reports, "Maidaan", which was scheduled for June 23 release, has been pushed to September 8, 2023. Mumbai, April 1 - Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan is gearing up for its worldwide release on June 23rd in multiple languages. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film is based on the golden era of Indian football (1952–1962). It stars Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim along with Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh, and Gajraj Rao with music composed by legendary AR Rahman.## Meanwhile, the teaser of "Maidaan" was first released on March 30 with Devgn's "Bholaa" in theaters before it was launched online later in the day. The 1-minute and 30 seconds teaser showed a glimpse into a football match between India and Yugoslavia in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics in which Indian players played barefoot. ## The teaser is filled with a bunch of training montages, some stunning goals in slow-motion, a glimpse of the attacks the team faced, the turmoils Rahim faced, and some electrifying pep talks by Devgn. Mumbai, February 10 - It seems there is no easy way to get out of jail for Ajay Devgn-fronted "Maidaan". The long-awaited biographical sports drama film is getting difficulties in its release which has led to multiple delays over the last year or so. The movie was supposed to release in February this year, however, the makers recently announced its postponement to May 12, 2023, release. ## Now, according to the latest reports, the Amit Sharma-directed flick has been pushed again to June this year. Bollywood Hungama reports that "Maidaan" has been shifted to June 23 release, which is still a complex date to bring the film to the big screen. ## June 2023 is already flooded with two tentpole titles, "Jawan" (June 2) and "Adipurush" (June 16).
