It depicts his leadership in defending against Mughal advances, his political strategies, and the challenges he faced, including internal conspiracies. It starts with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's death, and shows the rise of his son, who launches an attack on Burhanpur, a key Mughal province, showcasing his strength and defiance. The movie delves into Sambhaji's character, showcasing his bravery, political acumen, and his relationships, particularly with his wife, Maharani Yasubai, played by Rashmika Mandanna. The film also touches upon the lack of unity among Indian kingdoms and the sacrifices made by Sambhaji for the Maratha cause. Following Sambhaji's tragic death, Yesubai continues the fight and crowns Rajaram as the next Chhatrapati.
