Mumbai, July 25 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, who is gearing up for the release of director Neeraj Pandey's romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, will be reuniting with filmmaker Luv Ranjan for a high-concept action thriller, to be directed by Mission Mangal fame Jagan Shakti.## The film in question has been in development for the last few months. Luv Ranjan, who previously produced Ajay Devgn-fronted De De Pyaar De and its upcoming sequel, has come on board to produce Jagan Shakti's directorial, according to Bollywood Hungama. ## "It's a high-concept action film and will see Ajay Devgn in a completely new avatar. Luv, Jagan and Ajay are excited to explore this action space together in their next directorial. The film will go on floors by December 2024 and will hit the big screen in 2025", says the report.## The shoot of the film will commence in December this year, and before that, Ajay Devgn will wrap up Son of Sardaar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2. Mumbai, July 24 - Disney/Pixar has done it again as the studio's latest blockbuster Inside Out 2 has become the highest-grossing animated movie of all-time at the worldwide box office, beating Disney's Frozen 2. ## The sequel to Inside Out (2015), IO2 has grossed $1.46 billion (12245 crores), surpassing Frozen 2's $1.45 billion final gross on July 23. This is the 7th Disney movie and 5th for Pixar in the top 10 animated highest-grossing movies ever globally. ## In the process of outgrossing Frozen 2, the Inside Out sequel had surpassed Margot Robbie's Barbie ($1.44 billion) a day earlier to become the 13th highest-grossing movie ever, behind Tom Cruise's Top Gun Maverick ($1.49 billion). It can enter the top 10 movies in history by topping Top Gun 2, Furious 7 ($1.51 billion), and The Avengers ($1.51 billion). ## Directed by Kelsey Mann (in his feature directorial debut), Inside Out 2's domestic total stands at $601 million (5030 crores) while it has grossed $862 million (7215 crores) at the overseas box office. Mexico has been the biggest international market for the movie with $98.6 million. Kochi, July 24 - Thalapathy Vijay's mega-stardom has once again shaken Kerala's trade with the record-breaking theatrical deal for his upcoming movie The Greatest of All-Time. Gokulam Movies, the leading distribution studio in Kerala has grabbed theatrical rights of the movie. ## According to the Kerala film industry tracker AB George, GOAT Kerala theatrical rights have been sold for 17 crore which is a record deal for a non-Malayalam movie. The previous record also belonged to Vijay when his Leo was sold for 16 crores and it was also bought by Gokulam Movies. ## Thalapathy Vijay is arguably the biggest non-Malayalam superstar in Kerala with an incredible box office pull. Leo, which was released in October last year, did wonders at the Kerala box office by grossing approximately 60 crores which is a record for a Tamil title in the state. ## Talking about GOAT, it is a science fiction action film directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. Hyderabad, July 24 - After getting a major shock with Radhe Shyam and Adipurush, Pan India superstar Prabhas made a roaring comeback with back-to-back big successes in the form of Salaar: Ceasefire and Kalki 2898 AD which has crossed 1000 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming the second film of Prabhas to achieve the feat. ## The next release for Prabhas is director Maruthi's horror-comedy The Raja Saab which is produced by People Media Factory. The production house had also distributed Adipurush in Telugu states but suffered heavy losses due to the film's disastrous performance. ## Prabhas, who has a reputation for being a producer's delight, has once again shown a big heart for The Raja Saab. According to the latest Telugu media reports, the Baahubali star has reduced his remuneration significantly to compensate for the losses People Media Factory incurred for releasing Adipurush. ## The Raja Saab is currently in production and is expected to be released on Sankranthi 2025. Prabhas plays the titular role alongside Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Sanjay Dutt, Riddhi Kumar, and Yogi Babu among others in key roles. ## Meanwhile, Prabhas has a jam-packed schedule going forward. Hyderabad, July 24 - There is so much genuine curiosity about maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli's next film which is with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. Touted to be a jungle-based adventure movie, SSMB 29 will be Rajamouli's first film since the monstrous blockbuster RRR in 2022. ## Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma seems to be one of the people who is excited about Rajamouli's next and he has some bold things to say about it. During a recent interview with a Telugu media platform, RGV claimed that SSMB29 will be the biggest film ever and he put reasons to say that.## "My guess is the film he (Rajamouli) is going to do now, I think that is going to go beyond imagination for the simple reason that post RRR release, I think he has spent a lot of time with the technician for the visual effects, so I have a feeling that this (SSMB29) is going to be really a "baap of all the films" made", RGV said.## As per reports, some of the award-winning international technicians will work on SSMB29 which is currently in the pre-production stage. Mumbai, July 24 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's all-time blockbuster movie Indra is all set to be re-released in theatres on the occasion of the veteran superstar's 69th birthday. Chennai, July 24 - Amid the speculations of which film, between Prabhas-fronted Salaar 2 and Jr. NTR-starrer Dragon (NTR 31) director Prashanth Neel will start next, a new report has emerged that the blockbuster filmmaker is already in talks with Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar for not one but two movies. ## Earlier this year, it was reported that Neel would be collaborating with Ajith Kumar for a standalone movie, and now, according to the report by DT Next, the duo may also do one more film in Prashanth Cinematic Universe which could pave the way for Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 3.## "Ajith and Prashanth had a meeting during the Vidaa Muyarchi schedule break last month. Prashanth has asked over three years of Ajith's time. Their first collaboration, which could be AK 64, will be a standalone project. This will go on floors in 2025 and be released in 2026", says the report.## The report further said that Hombale Films will bankroll both projects and the climax of the second film will lead to KGF 3 and Ajith Kumar's character is touted to be the biggest of them in Prashanth Cinematic Universe. ## It is, however, to be noted that neither Prashanth Neel nor Hombale Films have confirmed the existence of the Prashanth Cinematic Universe. However, there have been many reports and speculations along with fan theories which suggest there might be this KGF universe where its characters might collide at some point. But as said, there is no official confirmation about the same yet.## Ajith Kumar, meanwhile, recently wrapped up the shoot of Vidaa Muyarchi, scheduled to be released later this year and will join the sets of Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly soon which will hit big screens on Pongal 2025. Mumbai, July 23 - From its lowest opening ever in The Marvels ($110 million worldwide) in November last year to potentially one of the biggest in the MUC history in the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine, Marvel Studios/Disney is about to change the fate within just 9 months.## Recently, the domestic (North America) box office projection for the third Deadpool movie was revealed at $160+ million, by far the biggest opening for an R-rated (equal to A rating in India) movie ever and now, there is more for the studios to keep their expectations high. ## According to Deadline, the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-fronted blockbuster are looking at $340 million - $360 million opening at the global box office, including $180 million - $190 million overseas start which would be the biggest for an R-rated. ## These projections seem to be conservative as a previous report by Deadline (quoting a tracking agency) projected a $200+ million domestic start before most of the tracking sites brought that projection down to $160+ million. Overseas, the movie can still open at $200+ million as reports suggest the pre-sales are exceptional everywhere, so a $400+ million worldwide start is very much a possibility. ## If the aforementioned projection holds, it would be the third biggest MCU opening post the COVID-19 pandemic after Spider-Man: No Way Home ($600 million) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($452 million). Mumbai, July 23 - IMDb has unveiled the top 10 most anticipated upcoming Indian movies of 2024, and not so surprisingly, superstar Allu Arjun-fronted Pan India action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule takes the first spot. ## Directed by Sukumar, the sequel to the 2021 movie Pushpa - The Rise, Pushpa 2 has been the talk of the town ever since the first part was released. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, the blockbuster movie is scheduled to be released on December 6 in multiple languages.## The second most anticipated Indian movie of the year is superstar Jr. NTR's action drama, Devara: Part 1 which is again a Pan India title. It is directed by Koratala Siva and also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in their Telugu debut. The movie is slated to hit the big screen on September 28. ## Akshay Kumar-fronted comedy entertainer, Welcome To The Jungle (Welcome 3) is the third most anticipated movie of 2024. The multi-starrer tentpole is currently scheduled to be released during the Christmas weekend, however, it is likely to be postponed to next year. ## Thalapathy Vijay's sci-fi action thriller, The Greatest of All-Time (GOAT) is the 4th most-anticipated Indian title of the year. Another hugely-awaited Pan India movie, Suriya's Kanguva takes the 5th spot in the list. Directed by Siva, the film is slated to debut on the big screen on October 10. Both movies will clash at the box office on Diwali this year. ## Actor Vikram's Tamil action-drama Thangalaan, directed by Pa. Ranjith is 8th on the list of the most-anticipated Indian title of 2024. Mumbai, July 23 - Produced Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in the top form after the box office success of its horror-comedy Munjya. The studio's next release is Shraddha Kapoor-fronted Stree 2, which is the 5th instalment in Maddock Supernatural Universe. It is scheduled to be released on August 15.## Meanwhile, Maddock Films is gearing up to launch the teasers of Akshay Kumar's action thriller Sky Force and Vicky Kaushal-starrer historical action drama Chhava directly in theatres with Stree 2 which is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and is easily to biggest for Maddock Films. ## Sky Force is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur.
