Mumbai, April 13 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan shows a jump of around 15% on its first Saturday which might not be good enough after the underwhelming first two days for a movie carrying massive cost. ## According to early estimates, Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial flick scored 8.50-9 crores net, pushing the total to around 31.75 crores in 3-days. Ideally, the movie should have scored somewhere close to the opening day collection to get close to 50 crores opening weekend but it will now fall well short of that target. ## The opening weekend of BMCM is heading towards 40-43 crores net which is poor for the size of the movie. The biz on Monday will give a fair idea of where the film is heading as far as the lifetime collection is concerned. ## Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan sees a big jump of around 80% on its third day, however, the overall collection remains on the lower side with an estimated 5.50-6 crores net. The big jump was a must for the film after earning nowhere near its potential in the first two days. ## The total collection of the film after three days is over 15.50 crores net which is still very poor for a big-budget film. The movie will need to show a similar or bigger jump on Sunday as well and then will have to hope for a strong hold on Monday to stand a chance for a decent lifetime total. ## The good thing for both BMCM is that there is not a big release for the next couple of weeks so they will have a chance to collect if manage to hold on Monday. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, April 13 - Varun Dhawan's much-awaited action drama Baby John has reportedly been postponed from its May 31st release. Directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees, the movie is still in production and needs some more time to be completed. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, Baby John has so far been shot for more than 75 days since August 2023 but still has 10-12 days of shooting remaining, which is expected to be wrapped up by April-end. The movie will follow an extensive post-production. ## Also starring Keerthy Suresh (Bollywood debut) and Wamiqa Gabbi among others, the makers are now reportedly looking to release the film in June/July but the exact date will be locked once the shoot is wrapped up. The movie is produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions. ## Meanwhile, superstar Prabhas' sci-fi Pan India movie Kalki 2898 AD is looking to release on May 31st after reportedly getting postponed from May 9 release due to general elections in Telugu states around this date. Mumbai, April 13 - Warner Bros. Pictures/Legendary Pictures's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has topped 100 crores gross at the Indian box office, becoming the first for Hollywood in 2024 and very first in the MosterVerse franchise. ## Directed by Adam Wingard, the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel has grossed an estimated 102 crores in 16 days (including the 3rd Saturday). It is the first film in the Godzilla franchise to cross 100 crores gross, beating its predecessor which grossed around 60 crores in 2021. ## Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Godzilla x Kong is the 8th Hollywood film to enter this prestigious box office club, after Avatar 2, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Stranger 2, Oppenheimer, Mission Impossible 7, Fast X, and Thor: Love and Thunder. ## The film has performed exceptionally well in the non-Hindi market with more than 50% collection coming from South Indian states. The fallout from WrestleMania 40 continued to shake up SmackDown this week, with a major change to the landscape of The Bloodline.## Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and Paul Heyman kicked off the night with an in-ring segment addressing their loss and the subsequent eviction from their locker room by the new champion, Cody Rhodes. Heyman attempted to maintain order, reminding Sikoa that "wins and losses matter" and regaining championship gold was the key to reclaiming their space.## However, tensions flared as Sikoa questioned the consequences for losing, particularly after Jimmy Uso's defeat at the hands of Jey Uso at WrestleMania. Bayley's reign as the new WWE Women's Champion got underway on this week's episode of SmackDown (April 12th) but not without a twist. Returning to the blue brand after her WrestleMania 40 victory over IYO SKY, Bayley was interrupted by Tiffany Stratton, who mistook Bayley's celebration for an open challenge.## Clearing the air, Bayley revealed she had a specific challenger in mind and summoned Naomi to the ring. This past Friday night's episode of SmackDown was all about title contenders. Cody Rhodes, the newly crowned Undisputed WWE Champion after his victory over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, made his presence felt, setting his sights on the blue brand for his first title defense. ## SmackDown didn't waste any time in determining his challenger for the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view in France on May 4th. Mumbai, April 12 - After the underwhelming Eid opening day, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted Bade Miyan Chote Miyan dropped by over 50% on its second day which is a worrying sign for the film's box office prospects. ## According to early estimates, BMCM scores around 7 crores net collection on its first Friday, pushing the total to around 22.50 crores net in two days. The movie received mixed to negative word of mouth which has started showing its effect from the second day itself despite the Eid buzz. ## The film needs to perform exceptionally well on Saturday and Sunday to take the opening weekend past 50 crores mark, however, it won't be easy as advances for the weekend are currently lower than the opening day. ## Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan too couldn't make a move after the disappointing first-day collection of approximately 4.50 crores net. On its second day, the movie dropped by over 40% for an estimated 2.50-3 crores net despite the opening day itself was not huge enough to justify the drop. ## The total collection of Maidaan after two days + paid preview is around 9.75 crores net which is poor. Mumbai, April 12 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana is shaping up to be a global phenomenon with every development around it. In India, the film is already a hot topic with its casting along with Kannada superstar Yash coming on board to co-produce and starring in it. ## Producer Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus is working day and night to make Ramayana a global force and according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the filmmaker is in talks with Hollywood studio Warner Bros. Pictures to take the movie to worldwide audiences. ## "The deal (with Warner Bros.) is being negotiated not just to get monetary support for the project but also to ensure collaboration with the right partners on the distribution and marketing front in international markets up to the film’s release. The plans out in the market are just the tip of the iceberg, as Ramayana is a 100% made-in-India film of an Indian Story aiming at Global Domination", says the report. ## Ramayana is uncountably the most ambitious Indian film in the making and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to achieve the most satisfying outcome of it. As known to everyone, Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is playing the character of Lord Rama while Sai Pallavi will be seen as Goddess Sita, Yash as evil force Raavan and Sunny Deol as Hanuman among others. ## The Oscar-winning combo of Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman is on board to do music and background score while DNEG, which has won multiple Oscars, will be doing the VFX.
