Los Angeles, February 22 - Warner Bros. Pictures has upped the ante for the upcoming sequels to sci-fi epic Dune, and musical psychological thriller Joker. The two films are easily the most hyped Hollywood films of the year and are expected to bring box office glory. ## The making of the aforementioned sequels, however, cost a lot of money to Warner Bros. which spent hundreds of millions to provide a stunning theatrical experience to the audiences as the studio sees them big money spinners. ## According to Variety, the budget of director Todd Phillips' Joker: Folie à Deux/Joker 2 has been increased 3X of the first film. While the first Joker movie (2019) cost just $60 million in the making, the sequel hit $200 million which is massive. ## The report says that Joaquin Phoenix is getting $20 million to reprise his role as Arthur Fleck / Joker, while Lady Gaga is taking home about $12 million to play Harley Quinn. The successor of the $1+ billion grosser is due to be released in October 2024. ## Before Joker 2 hits the big screen, Warner Bros. has another massive film Dune: Part 2 ready to release this March. The Denis Villeneuve's directorial is already flying high with critics' reviews as Rotten Tomatoes score the film is currently at mighty 97% from over 100 reviews. ## As for the cost, Variety reports that Dune 2 was made on a budget of around $190 million, which is $25 million higher than its predecessor which cost $165 million in 2021. The first movie made over $400 million at the worldwide box office which is not bad at all as the film was a day-and-date release on HBO Max. ## Dune 2 is scheduled to release on March 1st and it is currently tracking to earn at least $65+ million in the opening weekend in North America. ## Stay tuned...

Los Angeles, February 21 - Marvel Studios is all set to drop the title of the Avengers 5 movie that was originally titled The Kang Dyansty. ## It has been reported that Marvel was planning to move on from the title after actor Jonathan Majors, who played Kang The Conquerer and was touted to be a big thing in the MCU, was found guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment. ## However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Majors' conviction wasn't the sole reason behind the title change as Marvel was making moves to minimize the character after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania underperformed at the box office. ## Avengers 5 is due to release in 2026 and it will now be getting a new title. Randy Orton, a long-standing star in WWE, recently shared his thoughts on the allegations against former CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon. The accusations stemmed from a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant, a former employee, alleging sex trafficking and abuse involving McMahon. ## In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Orton acknowledged the impact McMahon had on his career. “I’ve got to say this–I wouldn’t be where I am without Vince McMahon taking a chance on me a handful of times,” said Orton. “I would not be where I am today without Vince McMahon. But, f---, I’m reading this sh--. What you’ve seen and read, I’ve seen and read. As far as commenting on that, it f------ hurts my heart. He confirmed that, before his recent injury, Vince often demanded rewrites, forcing writers to stay up late. Last month, WWE Superstar Raquel Rodriguez revealed her diagnosis of Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), a debilitating condition characterized by recurring episodes of anaphylaxis-like symptoms.## The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology defines MCAS as "a condition where patients experience repeated episodes of symptoms resembling anaphylaxis, including hives, swelling, low blood pressure, breathing difficulties, and severe diarrhea. Cash Wheeler is facing trial for alleged firearm assault. ## According to PWInsider, Professional wrestler Cash Wheeler, known as part of the tag team FTR, is scheduled to stand trial in May for allegedly brandishing a firearm during a road rage incident in July 2023.## The incident led to his arrest in August on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, a third-degree felony in Florida. ## Prosecutors have opted to move forward with the case, and court dates have been set. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for May 7th, with the full trial set for May 20th. Wheeler is required to appear at the pre-trial hearing.## If convicted, Wheeler could face up to five years in prison, five years of probation, and a $5,000 fine.
