Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) Isn't Expected Back In WWE

Stamford, December 29 - Mercedes Mone's return to WWE is not anticipated, as indicated by a recent report. According to Fightful Select, negotiations between WWE and the former Sasha Banks have reached an impasse. ## Sources from WWE revealed on Friday night that talks had ceased, stating that the two parties "were no longer in negotiations regarding a return." Despite amicable discussions, the inability to make progress led to WWE's decision to walk away from the negotiations. ## Fightful also mentioned that another source within WWE believes that Mone is likely to make an appearance elsewhere "imminently." Before her ankle injury, Mone had ventured into NJPW, where she clinched the IWGP Women’s Championship. ## She was also spotted in the audience at AEW’s All In event at Wembley Stadium in August. However, no further developments occurred between Mone and AEW. Mone's tenure with WWE abruptly concluded in May 2022 when creative differences prompted her and Trinity (Naomi) to leave before a Raw episode. ## The two were subsequently suspended indefinitely and stripped of the Women's Tag Team titles. Trinity has since signed with Impact Wrestling/TNA.
