Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru makers approached Shahid Kapoor for its Hindi remake?

Shahid Kapoor seems to become the first choice of the filmmakers and producers when it comes to the Hindi remake of the South Indian movies. After the blockbuster Kabir Singh that was the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, Shahid Kapoor is currently working on Jersey which is also a remake of the Telugu movie with the same name that starred Nani in the lead role. ## Now, according to the Mid-Day report, the makers of the Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru starring Suriya has approached Shahid Kapoor for its Hindi remake to play the lead role. However, Shahid Kapoor is yet to give a nod for its Hindi adaptation. ## Regarding the Hindi remake and Shahid being approached for the role, a source revealed to the tabloid, “The film was always supposed to be made in multiple languages. Shahid enjoyed a mammoth hit in Kabir Singh last year, which was the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. So, he was the first choice of the makers. The actor is currently going through the script. After the leading man is locked, the team will zero in on the principal cast.”## Talking about the original Soorarai Pottru, it is an action-drama film directed by Sudha Kongara while Suriya and Guneet Monga have co-produced the film under the banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment. Along with Suriya in the lead role, the film also stars Aparna Balamurali, Jackie Shroff, Urvashi, Mohan Babu, Paresh Rawal, Sampath Raj, and Karunas in important roles.## About the Soorarai Pottru's release, the film was originally scheduled to be released on April 9 but got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide lockdown. The new release date is yet to be announced. The makers of the film announced that the film will be dubbed in Kannada.## Stay tuned...
