Box Office: 'Bad Newz' Surpasses 100 Crore Worldwide Gross Collection

Mumbai, August 1 - Dharma Production's comedy-drama Bad Newz has surpassed 100 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. The movie is co-produced by Amazon Prime Video and Leo Media Collective and is directed by Anand Tiwari. ## The movie, which stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the leading roles, topped 100 crores worldwide on its 13th day. The movie has grossed approximately 66.50 crores (55.85 crores net) in India and an estimated 34 crores gross overseas for 100+ crores worldwide cume.## With its entry into the 100 crores worldwide gross club, Bad Newz has become the 13th Bollywood movie and the 8th Hindi title of 2024 to achieve the feat. For Vicky Kaushal, it is his 3rd 100 crores gross out of the last 4 films in the leading roles, after Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Sam Bahadur. ## In between the aforementioned hits, Vicky Kaushal was also a part of Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Dunki which grossed over 400 crores worldwide. The actor played an extended appearance in Rajkumar Hirani's directorial comedy drama. ## Actress Triptii Dimri, who became a nationwide sensation after playing a supporting role in Ranbir Kapoor-led mega-blockbuster Animal, scored her box office hit and 100 crore grosser in the leading role while Ammy Virk too has his first success which is second theatrical Hindi film after Ranveer Singh-fronted 83. Box Office: 'Bad Newz' First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 22 - After the opening weekend of nearly 30 crores net, Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk's comedy-drama Bad Newz sees a drop of over 60% on its first Monday which is a little higher than expected.## According to the early estimates, the Anand Tiwari's directorial scored in the range of 3.50 crores net collection on its 4th day, pushing the total collection to over 33 crores net. The drop from opening day is over 50% which was needed to be under 50% to be called a decent hold. ## Bad Newz is heavily dependent on multiple audiences as mass centres are not showing much interest which was expected given the theme of the film. Given the fact that Bad Newz is performing fairly well among its target audience, the first Monday hold can be seen as a respectable one. ## The movie needs to perform to the level of Monday's collection throughout the week as first full week is headed to finish around 41 crores net. Box Office: 'Bad Newz' Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 20 - After taking the career-best start for Vicky Kaushal with 8.30 crores net, comedy-drama Bad Newz is seeing a jump of around 20% on its second day with collection around to the double-digit score. ## On its first Saturday, the Anand Tiwari's directorial venture scored an estimated 9.75-10.25 crores net collection, taking the total to around 18+ crores in two days. The 3-day opening weekend is expected to be around 30 crores net which is a fantastic result for the movie. ## The film's biz is being driven by Delhi NCR while other areas are performing decently. Bad Newz is more of an urban so the mass centres are on the lower side which is expected. The opening weekend is looking in a much better position than 2-3 weeks back but it will eventually come down to Monday to see where the movie will go. ## The word of mouth for the film is on the positive side so one can expect Bad Newz to hold well on Monday and going forward.
