Mumbai, January 25 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's aerial action thriller Sky Force witnesses a huge jump of around 70% on its second day, after a decent first-day collection of over 12 crores net, thanks to the big discount on online ticket bookings. ## According to early estimates, Sky Force has minted 21-22 crores net collection on Saturday. This is a very good collection as it has been noticed that the discounted offer, which was available on the first day of the instant online bookings, was partially opened on the second day. ## The total collection of the film is around 33+ crores net after 2 days. The movie is expected to see a further jump on Sunday, which also happens to be Republic Day as opening weekend is looking to be around 60 crores net which is fantastic. ## It might not have been possible for Sky Force to score this much collection with regular ticket prices from the opening day. While the idea of having heavily discounted ticket prices is not a good long-term plan, it has worked in the favor of movies to bring the audience in large numbers and spread the word of mouth which is super positive. ## The second-day collection of the movie is an indication that it has managed to draw the attention of moviegoers but the real game begins on Monday. Mumbai, January 25 - Telugu veteran Venkatesh Daggubati's action comedy Sankranthiki Vasthunam has entered the 200 crores gross club at the worldwide box office, becoming the first film for the actor to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the Sankranthi blockbuster hit the double century on its 12th day which is one of the fastest non-Pan India Telugu titles to do so. The movie is having a super strong second weekend domestically and through Saturday, it has stormed past the box office milestone. ## In India, Sankranthiki Vasthunam has grossed approximately 172+ crores while overseas business is around 31 crores for the worldwide cume total of 203+ crores in 12 days. As said, it is the first for Venky and the second for director Ravipudi after Mahesh Babu-fronted Sarileru Neekevvaru to enter 200 crores gross club. ## Produced by Dil Raju, Sankranthiki Vasthunam is one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters released in the festive month of January. Hyderabad, January 25 - The long wait is finally coming to an end as maverick director SS Rajamouli is all set to commence his highly-anticipated action-adventure film, which he labelled as a globe-trotting epic with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. ## On Friday (January 24), SS Rajamouli took to Instagram to hint about the production commencement of his next. The blockbuster director shared a photo of a lion in jail and seizing the passport on social media. This meme-like snippet went viral across platforms in the excitement of the movie. ## Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, who is making her comeback to Indian films with this biggie, commented under the post of SSR. The official announcement of the cast, other than Mahesh Babu, hasn't been made yet but it has already been reported in the media that PC is locked for the female lead. ## This is the first time that SS Rajamouli is teaming up with Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. This is the collaboration which has generated massive buzz, not just among the Indian audience but also internationally. Mumbai, January 24 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's war action drama Sky Force has taken a good double-digit opening which is a rarity for the actor these days. The opening, however, is largely fueled by the highly discounted ticket prices, an uncommon strategy adopted to bring the audience to cinemas in large numbers. ## The strategy of giving massive discounts on tickets has expectedly worked in the favor of the movie as early estimates suggest opening in the range of 11-11.50 crores net collection. It might go higher which needs to be seen by tomorrow morning. The good thing is that the prices will continue to be low throughout the weekend, so a big jump is expected on Saturday followed by Sunday which is Republic Day. ## To have a practice of giving big discounts is not beneficial in the long run, but this move is working as of now, as word of mouth for the film is highly positive and due to higher audience turnaround, it is expected to spread faster and hopefully, will benefit the movie when normal rates come into effect.## Sky Force will certainly have a good weekend with these low ticket rates and will set the tone for possibly a good outing during weekdays. Mumbai, January 24 - One of the Bollywood films that is eagerly awaited is the Hrithik Roshan-fronted superhero film Krrish 4. It was announced many moons back but due to various reasons, including the Covid-19 pandemic. Things have moved rapidly over the last couple of years regarding the script but still, all is not well for the movie. ## In a recent interaction with Movie Talkies, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan provided a much-awaited update on Krrish 4. When asked about the film, the filmmaker said that it will happen for sure as the script is finally ready, but the budget is a major concern. ## Rakesh Roshan revealed that the movie's scale is huge which requires a massive budget. The Karan Arjun director doesn't want to compromise with the scale of the movie as he said that if he cut the budget, it would massively the storyline, something he doesn't want to do. He said that he would start Krrish 4 only after he gets the required budget and scale right. ## There have been rumours that Krrish 4 will bring back the character of Jaado and when asked about the same, Rakesh Roshan refused to reveal anything about the plot as of now. However, he is happy with the script and idea for the movie and promised to roll it out soon. ## Hrithik, meanwhile, has been shooting for the highly-awaited Pan India movie War 2, also starring Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. Hyderabad, January 24 - Superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has had a dream run at the box office and has completed 50 days since its debut on December 5 last year. The Sukumar's directorial is closing in its box office journey but not before rewriting history. ## Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the second part of the Pushpa series has grossed over 1736 crores worldwide, including over 1466 crores in India and over 270 crores at the overseas box office in 50 days so far and emerged as an all-time blockbuster. ## The film will finish as the third highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the worldwide box office, behind only Baahubali 2 (1790 crores approx.) and Dangal (2070 crores approx.). Pushpa 2 - The Rule headed to finish under 1750 crores worldwide with approximately 6.25 crores domestic footfalls.## In the dubbed Hindi version, however, from the record-breaking opening to breaching 100 crores gross single day mark to become the biggest Hindi grosser, the movie has shattered every record and set a new benchmark for the upcoming films. Mumbai, January 24 - After the historic success of Gadar 2, Bollywood star Sunny Deol teamed up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni for mass entertainer Jaat which is the director's maiden Bollywood project. Telugu giant Mythri Movie Makers produces the film with People Media Factory. ## On Friday (January 24), the makers announced the release date of this much-awaited action drama. Mumbai, January 22 - Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2018 mega-blockbuster historical drama Padmaavat is all set to re-release in cinemas on January 24, the makers announced officially on Wednesday. ## Padmaavat is based on the epic poem of the same name by Malik Muhammad Jayasi. It stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, a Sinhalese-born Rajput queen, wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh, played by Shahid Kapoor. Ranveer Singh played the villain as Alauddin Khilji. ## Rani Padmavati was known for her beauty and when Khilji heard about her beauty, he attacked her kingdom to enslave her. To protect the dignity and honour from the hands of Khilji and his army, Padmavati along with her companions committed Jauhar (self-immolation) thereby defeating Khalji's aim. ## Padmaavat, produced by Bhansali Productions, was a huge box office success in its original run with a worldwide gross collection of 585 crores, including 400 crores gross domestically.
