Mumbai, May 12 - Disney's Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes opened on the projected lines at the worldwide box office with a strong $131 million in its first 5-day weekend. ## At the domestic (North America) box office, the fourth instalment in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise grossed a solid $58.5 million (488 crores) over a 3-day weekend. The movie's opening is the second biggest in the rebooted franchise, behind only Dawn of the Planet of the Apes which opened to $72 million. ## While the domestic opening of Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes was slightly higher than the projection, the overseas collection of the movie fell a little short of the projection but was still solid with $72.7 million (607 crores) over the 5-day weekend, for $131.2 million (1095 crores) global start.## China was once again the biggest international market for the movie with $11.6 million, followed by France ($7.6M), and Mexico with $6.4 million. Meanwhile, at the Indian box office, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has a decent opening with an estimated $1.70 million (14 crores) over the 3-day weekend. ## Stay tuned...

Well, the wait finally ends Jio Cinema has announced that the much-awaited movie will start streaming on its platform on May 17, almost a year after its theatrical release. ## Directed by Laxman Utekar, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is a story of a small-town married couple who want to get a house of their own. Hyderabad, May 12 - Telugu actor Ram Pothineni's action drama Double iSmart is one of the most anticipated Telugu movies of the year. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the movie marks Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's debut in Telugu cinema as he has been assigned to the role of antagonist. ## Double iSmart was supposed to be released in March 2024 but due to the delay in the shoot, the movie was postponed, however, a new date is yet to be locked. Mumbai, May 11 - A sequel to Ajay Devgn-fronted crime drama film Raid is in development with the actor returning to reprise his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and produced by Panorama Studios and T-Series.## The shoot of Raid 2 is nearing completion are gearing up to release the movie in the second half of 2024. However, there might be a change in the release date which is due on November 15, 2024. Kochi, May 11 - Tovino Thomas's much-awaited period action drama film ARM - Ajayante Randam Moshanam is set to clash with superstar Mohanlal's big-budget fantasy entertainer Barroz during the Onam 2024 festival. ## According to the latest reports, ARM will be debuting in theatres on September 12, 2024, the date which is already occupied by Barroz. Both the movies are hugely awaited and have been made on big budgets. Mumbai, May 11 - Disney's science fiction actioner Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has had a good start at the Indian box office, taking a bigger opening than its predecessor, War For The Planet Of The Apes back in 2017. ## Directed by Wes Ball, the fourth instalment in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise scored approximately 3.75+ crores gross (3.15 crores net) opening in India. The previous film in the franchise took the opening of around 3 crores gross collection. ## Meanwhile, at the domestic (North America) box office, the film is looking at $21 million -$22 million on Friday opening day, which also includes $6.6 million on Thursday previews. The previews for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes are the biggest in the franchise. The movie is tracking to earn over $50 million in the opening weekend domestically. ## The movie takes place 300 years after the events of War and follows a young chimpanzee named Noa, who embarks on a journey alongside a human woman named Mae to determine the future for apes and humans alike. Mumbai, May 11 - In the wake of the mega box office success of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, a new film in the MonsterVerse has officially been tapped at Legendary/Warner Bros. Studios, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.## According to THR, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings screenwriter Dave Callaham has been roped in to write the script for Godzilla x Kong's follow-up. Director Adam Wingard is expected to return at the next film in the series, however, the filmmaker has no deal at this stage. ## Godzilla x Kong, which was released in March, has performed excellently at the worldwide box office. The movie has grossed close to $550 million globally, including $190 million at the domestic (North America) box office. Mumbai, May 10 - The heist comedy Crew starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon has topped 150 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming just the third Bollywood movie of the year after Fighter and Shaitaan to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the movie continues to score well in India due to the lack of competition. In its 6th week, Crew scored approximately 2.10 crores net (2.50 crores gross) pushing the total collection to 80.90 crores net (95.50 crores gross) in 42 days. ## Overseas, Crew has grossed an estimated 55 crores for worldwide 150+ crores. The movie will be looking to finish around 155 crores gross which makes it one of the biggest box office successes of the year so far for Bollywood.
