Here's the list of the top 10 longest-reigning WWE Universal Champions. ## The WWE Universal Championship is one of WWE's major titles, alongside the WWE Championship. Currently held by Roman Reigns in his second reign, it has the longest reign in the title's history. Reigns defends both titles together, known as the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, while each title retains its own history. ## The championship was named after WWE's fanbase, the WWE Universe, and was established on July 25, 2016, as Raw's top title. This change followed the brand split on July 19, 2016, where the WWE Championship became exclusive to SmackDown. ## The inaugural Universal Champion was Finn Bálor. Over the years, the championship has been showcased in various events, including six consecutive SummerSlams from 2017 to 2022 and four WrestleManias (34, 37 Night 2, 38 Night 2, and 39 Night 2), which are among WWE's most prominent pay-per-views. Here is the full list of WWE Universal Champions of all time. ## When the WWE Championship became exclusive to SmackDown LIVE following the WWE Brand Extension, Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley created the Universal Championship as the flagship title of Monday Night Raw. ## The Universal Title then switched to the blue brand with "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt's 2019 victory over Seth Rollins. t is one of WWE's top titles, alongside the WWE Championship on Raw and the NXT Championship on NXT. ## As of December 20, 2022, there have been fourteen reigns between eight champions and two vacancies. Finn Bálor was the inaugural champion. Brock Lesnar holds the record for most reigns with three. Roman Reigns' ongoing second reign is the longest singular reign at 842+ days, while Bálor has the shortest reign at 22 hours as he was forced to vacate the title due to suffering a legitimate injury in winning it. ## Reigns also holds the record for longest combined reign at 906+ days. "Rest in peace Leon Spinks." Former Heavyweight Champion Leon Spinks Passes Away At Age 67. In 2019, it was revealed that Spinks was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. He died at a hospital in Henderson, Nevada on February 5, 2021.## During the 1990s, Spinks worked for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, winning its world title in 1992, making him only the second man (after Primo Carnera) to hold titles in both boxing and wrestling. Bollywood actress Sunny Leone got into trouble when she was questioned by the Kerala Police at a private resort in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The interrogation was conducted on a complaint filed by an event manager in Kochi in an alleged cheating case.## R Shiyas, who conducts events in and around Kochi, had filed a complaint with the Kerala DGP that Sunny Leone had taken Rs 29 lakh from him while promising to attend various inaugural functions in the state but she failed to do so.## The complainant said that her manager had taken money in several installments from 2016 onwards, promising to attend five functions but as it did not happen he complained to the police.## Sources in the Crime Branch confirmed that the police had indeed questioned the actor on Thursday. The Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (A.M.M.A.) will be producing a crime thriller film featuring 145 actors including superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty. Priyadarshan and TK Rajeev Kumar will direct this film, and it will be a fundraiser project to provide financial support to actors who are struggling in the Malayalam film industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ## The project was launched by superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal together after the inaugural ceremony of AMMA's new headquarters in Kochi. Ashirwad Films will produce the movie on behalf of AMMA.## The AMMA provides pension to all the Malayalam movie actors and this is being done through the annual donations from its members as well as through the interest generated by the movie 20:20 which was earlier produced by the association starring Malayalam superstars and was a big hit.## Mohanlal, who is also the president of the association, was quoted by the Times of India as saying that since it was tough to do a fundraiser show, they have planned to do a film. He has requested all actors to work in it. ## The pre-production works of the movie will commence soon and the shooting of the film will begin later this year.
