After the initial setback, the three-times champions Chennai Super Kings is back on track with a dominating 10-wickets win over Kings XI Punjab on Sunday. It is only the second win for CSK in 5 matches which came after chasing down a big total of 179 without putting much effort. ## Shane Watson, who had not been able to show anything special with the bat before this match, scored an unbeaten 83-run knock on 53 balls while regaining his old form. However, it was Faf du Plessis, who has been a stand out performer for CSK so far in this year's IPL, played an unbeaten knock of 87 runs off 53 balls and added 181 runs with Watson for the first wicket which is highest ever partnership for CSK in the history of the Indian Premier League. ## Du Plessis, however, has credited skipper MS Dhoni and head coach, Stephen Fleming for showing faith in the players and sticking with the same team despite some of the players were not performing well. Plessis called it a CSK way that doesn't make quick changes even after losing a few games. ## "I thought in the previous game we were good with the ball, but we didn't bat well", du Plessis said during the post-match presentation. "Today Watto was a big plus for us. A lot of guys haven't played cricket, so you hope that you strike form immediately. But when that doesn't happen, it does take a bit of time. Hopefully, our guys find their best form over the next 3-4 games".## "Credit to MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming for sticking with the side. Kolkata Knight Riders had almost pulled off a record-breaking chase against Delhi Capitals on Saturday (October 3) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. However, it remained almost as the two times champions KKR fell short of 18 runs in a chase of 228. ## At one stage, KKR looked completely out of the match as they reduced to 6 wickets for just 122 runs. However, Eoin Morgan (44 off 18) and Rahul Tripathi (36 off 16) had some other plans whose late show brought hopes back to KKR camp, and it seemed that the franchise might chase down 229 to create an IPL record. ## However, it didn't happen, a stunning penultimate over from Anrich Nortje followed by a cracker of a final over by Marcus Stoinis changed things and eventually won the game for Delhi Capitals to take the team on top of the points table. ## After the match, India's world cup winning team member, S Sreesanth said that Eoin Morgan, who led England to maiden ODI World Cup win last year, should lead Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, instead of Dinesh Karthik who has failed to impress with both the bat and leadership so far in this year's IPL.## Sreesanth explained that having a World Cup-winning captain as the leader of the team will certainly help the franchise who can lead the team like MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli from the front. ## "Genuinely feel @Eoin16 should lead the side,(surly not*dk kolaimandaaaiiiOctopus) World Cup-winning captain should surly lead ipl side. "When you look at our batting line-up, we have a number of match-winners, so it's very difficult to go up the order, particularly when you have a world-class all-rounder in Andre Russell. The recently released documentary 'The Social Dilemma' on Netflix has created a wave across the globe that shows how social media platforms treat its users as a product and shared misinformation for its personal advantages. ## However, the documentary hasn't gone well with Facebook that has come down heavily on the leading streaming platform, saying it has buried the substance in sensationalism. In a rather uncharacteristic move, the leading social media site has slammed Netflix, stressing that it gives a distorted view of how social media platforms work. ## Denying that it treats users as a product, Facebook said it is an ad-supported platform, which means that selling ads allows it to offer everyone else the ability to connect for free. The social-media giant released a seven-point rebuttal on Friday to the Netflix film, from director Jeff Orlowski, which debuted Septemeber 9. ## "This model allows small businesses and entrepreneurs to grow and compete with bigger brands by more easily finding new customers. But even when businesses purchase ads on Facebook, they don't know who you are", Facebook said in a statement.## The company said that it does not sell the information of its users to anyone, users can always see the 'interests' assigned to them in their ad preferences which, if they want, can remove them from their timeline. ## While the documentary tried to explain that addiction and privacy breaches are the features, not bugs, of the social media platforms, Facebook said that it uses algorithms to improve the experience for people using its apps just like any other apps that people interact with every day.## "That also includes Netflix, which uses an algorithm to determine who it thinks should watch aThe Social Dilemma' film, and then recommends it to them. This happens with every piece of content that appears on the service," the social network argued.## According to Facebook, the film's creators do not include insights from those currently working at the companies or any experts that take a different view of the narrative put forward by the film.## "They also don't acknowledge, critically or otherwise, the efforts already taken by companies to address many of the issues they raise. Instead, they rely on commentary from those who haven't been on the inside for many years", Facebook emphasized.## 'The Social Dilemma' currently streaming on Netflix, has its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival in January 2020. The Royal Challengers Bangalore's skipper Virat Kohli has heaped praise on the 20-year old Devdutt Padikkal who has been one of the stand-out players of the Indian Premier League 2020 so far. Padikkal, who has been consistent with his performance so far, is the leading scorer for RCB after the first 4 matches with 174 runs. ## Against Rajasthan Royals, Padikkal played a classy knock of 63 off 45 balls in a chase of 155, which helped RCB to register an easy win of 8 wickets. Though Virat himself was the top scorer of the inning with an unbeaten 72 off 53 balls, it was Padikkal's knock that caught his attention and he couldn't stop himself to praise the young talented batsman. ## "I saw him play and told Simon (Katich) that this guy has got some serious talent because he's got reach, a great eye, a great balance. Holly Holm had a nice takedown in the middle of the octagon. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has reacted to news reports suggesting that the forensic team of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi hinted that late actor Sushant Singh Rajput had committed suicide as it was not a murder. ## Putting a brake on the speculation, Dr. Sudhir Gupta, who led the AIIMS panel re-evaluating the Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem report, has confirmed that the actor's death was a case of suicide, and not murder.## Kangana, however, has discarded the suicide theory as she still feels it was a murder. In a series of tweets, Kangana has listed out reasons why she feels that Sushant can't suicide and also seeking answers to the few question. ## "Young and extraordinary individuals don't just wake up one fine day and kill themselves. Sushant said he was being bullied and outcast, he feared for his life, he said movie mafia banned him and harassed him, he was mentally affected by being falsely accused of rape #AIIMS", the actress tweeted. The Government of India, after almost six months, has announced that cinemas will be allowed to reopen across the country starting October 15. The news came as big relief for the filmmakers and theaters owners who were waiting desperately for cinemas to open that are closed since the lockdown due to the covid-19 pandemic was imposed on March 25. ## On Wednesday, the Union Home Ministry announced cinemas, theatres, and multiplexes to reopen with 50 percent seating capacity from October 15. The decision has been hailed by the film fraternity, who are now waiting for all the state governments to give a green signal.## However, despite cinemas to open, the wait for movies like Sooryavanshi and 83 will continue as the makers don't want a clash between these two biggies and also don't want to release in a short time of promotion. ## "This is a great announcement but we still have to wait for all the states to open up. Many states like Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu are yet to open up. 'Sooryavanshi' and '83' have been ready for quite some time. 'Sooryavanshi' was originally slated for a Diwali release, but it's not practical. Even if theatres open up in November, you can't release such a big film with 15 days promotion time," Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibashish Sarkar told IANS.## While filmmaker Rohit Shetty's 'Sooryavanshi' will bring Akshay Kumar back in the cop avatar, actor Ranveer Singh will be seen in the much-hyped Kabir Khan's '83' as the iconic Kapil Dev, who captained India's first-ever cricket World Cup victory campaign in 1983.## "As of now, '83' is slated for a Christmas release. Of course, we won't bring two films in December. I still haven't had a chat with Rohit Shetty or Kabir Khan. But one thing is clear that we don't want to hold the films indefinitely. Putting a brake on the speculation, Dr. Sudhir Gupta, who led the AIIMS panel re-evaluating the Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem report, has confirmed that the actor's death was a case of suicide, and not murder. ## Ever since Sushant has died, many, including the late actor's family, had been urging the Central Bureau of Investigation to initiate a murder probe in the case. The actor was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. His family has accused Rhea Chakraborty of abetting his suicide and misappropriating his funds. Rhea is currently in jail, on drugs-related charges pertaining to the case.## According to India Today, the AIIMS doctors had submitted their findings to the CBI on September 29 in which they have completely ruled the murder angle and confirmed it a suicide. ## Sushant's death was originally ruled a suicide by the Mumbai Police before the case was taken over by the CBI. The CBI is likely to continue its probe into "abetment to suicide", Hindustan Times reported.## Vikas Singh, the lawyer representing Sushant's father, had previously claimed that an AIIMS doctor had told him that the ligature marks on Sushant's neck were consistent with strangulation. "AIIMS doctor told me that Sushant’s death was by strangulation", he had said in a press conference.## However, Dr. Gupta had refuted these claims. He told Times Now as stated by Hindustan Time, "No conclusion or conclusion opinion of homicide or suicide could be made by seeing ligature marks and scene of occurrence. It's difficult for doctors and next to impossible for general people, needed solely internal link discretion and forensic interpretation".## Stay tuned...
