Mumbai, July 16 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar-led comedy thriller Housefull 5 has completed its box office run with a collection below 300 crores gross, finishing as the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year at the time it ended its theatrical journey. ## Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 was released on June 6 amid a good hype. It was the movie that was perceived as one of Bollywood's biggest hits of the year, but the mixed reviews and audience reception drastically reduced its box office prospects. ## The movie was reportedly made on a budget of around 250 crores, making it the most expensive Indian comedy movie. Mumbai, July 15 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's big screen adaptation of Ramayana is officially the costliest Indian film by a long margin, after producer Namit Malhotra revealed that the budget for this 2-part epic will be in the range of Rs. 4000 crores. ## In a recent podcast, Malhotra said that they have been working on this mega project for the past 6-7 years and by the time they are done with both parts, the budget will be around $500 million, which equals roughly Rs. 4000 crores. ## "We are making the largest film in the world for the greatest story and greatest epic that the world should see. I think it's still cheaper than some of the Hollywood films' budgets. I think we are making a bigger film at a lower cost. Hyderabad, October 7 - In one of its kind experiments, director SS Rajamouli's epic duology, "Baahubali - The Beginning" and "Baahubali - The Conclusion", are set to re-release in a single epic cut on October 31st this year, under the title as Baahubali - The Epic. The official announcement of the film was made earlier in the year on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Baahubali - The Beginning. Since the makers are bringing both films in one cut version, there have been talks about the film's theatrical runtime, as the combined runtime of both films is close to 6 hours. As per the latest update, the film has been censored with a U/A certificate with an approved runtime of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Recently, producer Shobu Yarlagadda confirmed during an interview that the final runtime of the movie would be around 3 hours and 40 minutes. It will be the longest Indian film ever in the modern era. The filmmaker also revealed that the first half of Baahubali - The Epic will consist of Baahubali (2015) portions, while the second half will feature scenes from Baahubali - The Conclusion (2017). The makers are treating it as a new film and leaving no stone unturned to promote it. They have also planned to promote the film in the USA via online media. Vidyut Jammwal, who has been deliberate about the project, will play the role of Dhalsim, a yogi with fire-spitting abilities — a fundamentally peaceful man who fights to support his family. The character was first introduced in Street Fighter II in 1991. The project is currently in development by Legendary and distributed by Sony Pictures. The film will be directed by Kitao Sakurai. Earlier, YouTuber twins Danny and Michael Philippou of the channel RackaRacka were in talks to direct the film, but later dropped out of the movie due to other commitments. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is Vijay's 69th film, and potentially his last before his full-time entry into politics.
