Mumbai, December 16 - Superstar Salman Khan's much-awaited action drama Sikandar is set to unleash at the box office on Eid 2025. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, it is one of the biggest Bollywood films of the next year. ## According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the makers will release the teaser of Sikandar on Salman Khan's birthday, December 27. The teaser is currently being edited and is expected to be action-packed and entertaining on a huge scale. ## The background score is done by Santosh Narayanan, who is best known for his work in Kalki 2898 AD, among many other films. The teaser will kick-start the promotion of the film leading to its release on Eid in March 2025. The entire shoot of the movie is expected to be wrapped by January. ## Meanwhile, after Sikandar, Salman Khan will start director Atlee's yet-untitled big-budget Pan India film from the summer of 2025. Mumbai, December 15 - Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule surpasses 500 crores net collection in Hindi after scoring a historic 125+ crores net second weekend at the Hindi box office. It is the first movie ever to score 100+ crores net in the second weekend in Hindi. ## Pushpa 2 on its second Sunday is looking to score in the range of 54-56 crores net, according to estimates. This pushes the total Hindi collection to over 550 crores in 11 days, becoming the third-biggest Hindi grosser of all time, behind Jawan and Stree 2. ## The film will surpass Stree 2 during or before the third weekend to become the biggest Hindi grosser ever. At this point, the film seems to be heading for 750+ crores net in Hindi and it can go higher depending on new releases and repeat audience. ## In Telugu states, Pushpa 2 has a good second Sunday for an estimated 15-16 crores gross while in Karnataka, it is expected to gross around 5.50 crores and in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the collection is in the range of 4.75-5 crores gross. Mumbai, December 15 - Pushpa 2 has become the third highest-grossing Indian movie at the worldwide box office in just less than 11 days since its release on December 5. ## With the ongoing 11th day (2nd Sunday), Pushpa 2 - The Rule is expected to be around 1300 crores gross globally, surpassing the lifetime worldwide total of SS Rajamouli's epic RRR (1230 crores gross) and Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 (1215 crores gross) to become the third biggest Indian grosser. ## The Sukumar's directorial blockbuster is now behind Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (1790 crores gross) and Aamir Khan's Dangal (2070 crores gross) which are currently the biggest Indian titles. Pushpa 2 indicates long legs and it might pip BB2 in the long run to become the number 2 grosser which needs to be seen. ## At the Indian box office, Pushpa 2 also crosses 1000 crores gross on Sunday and becomes only the third movie after Baahubali 2 (1417 crores gross) and KGF: Chapter 2 (1000 crores gross). The total domestic gross collection of the movie is expected to be 1050+ crores after 11 days as the second biggest grosser.## Meanwhile, the action drama has also surpassed 500 crores net collection in the Hindi version on its second Sunday (11th day), becoming the 7th film ever and the fastest to do so. Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan was previously the fastest to hit 500 crores net, taking 18 days for the same. ## Pushpa 2 will surpass all but Jawan (582 crores net) and Stree 2 (598 crores net) at the end of its 11th day to become the third biggest Hindi grosser. Mumbai, December 14 - Pushpa 2 is creating a mass frenzy and hits the ball out of the park once again by scoring a monstrous second Saturday at the Hindi box office with a sensational jump of over 60% from the second Friday which itself was huge. ## According to early estimates, Pushpa 2 scored 45-47 crores net collection on its second Saturday (10th day) in Hindi, pushing the total collection to around 497+ crores net. It will enter the 500 crores net club by tomorrow morning and will become the fastest to do so. ## This is a never-before-seen trend at the box office, and it will be hard to replicate soon unless there comes a movie with a similar kind of mass appeal with favourable audience reception. Pushpa 2 is now certain to open 600 crores net and 700 crores net account in Hindi. ## The film has also scored a good jump in Telugu states where the second Saturday collection is expected to be in the range of 12-13 crores gross, followed by 4.50-5 crores gross in Karnataka and around 3.50 crores gross in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Mumbai, December 14 - Mega blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule is set to become the first movie ever to score 100+ crores net collection in Hindi in the second weekend. The movie had a historic opening weekend and week with over 425 crores net collection. ## Pushpa 2 earned approximately 27 crores net collection on its second Friday in Hindi and on Saturday, it is expected to score 40+ crores net. On Sunday, there are chances of hitting 50 crore net which means the second weekend of the film will be, at least, 115+ crore net. ## This is a historic collection as Pushpa 2 will also cross 500 crores net in Hindi by the second Sunday, taking just 11 days to reach there which is an all-time record. Mumbai, December 14 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's maiden collaboration with the Pan India star Prabhas, Spirit is gearing up to commence filming early next year, and ahead of that, the makers are in the process of locking big names from Hindi film industry. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, director Sandeep Vanga is in talks with Mrunal Thakur for the female lead role opposite Prabhas. At the same time, the conversation is on with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who are a real-life couple, to play the negative roles in Spirit. ## "Spirit is one the most ambitious and awaited films of Indian Cinema, and the makers are going all out to have the best and most talented actors of world cinema on board. While Prabhas is locked to play the role of a cop, the conversations are in progress with Mrunal Thakur, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor with the latter two for the negative turn", says the report. ## The report further states that Spirit is unlike any other cop action thriller film in Indian cinema where Vanga is looking to change the way cop actioners are made in India. "The writing work and prep is going on in full swing, and the ones who have heard the narration inform that Vanga is going to reintroduce Prabhas like never before in Spirit", it adds.## Meanwhile, there have been rumours about South Korean actor Don Lee featuring in the film, however, there hasn't been a concrete update about the same yet. Chennai, December 14 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja has crossed 100 crores gross collection at the overseas box office, including more than 75% contribution from China where the movie is approaching the century mark alone. ## Maharaja had minted approximately 24 crores gross overseas in its original run and upon its China release on November 29, it has grossed approximately 76+ crores gross there in 15 days. This took the total international collection of Maharaja to 100+ crores gross and there is still more to come. ## Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the movie is also nearing the 200 crores gross mark at the global box office and it should get there with major help from the Chinese market. It has so far grossed approximately 183.50+ crores, which includes 83.50 crores gross collection from the domestic market.## Maharaja is currently the 4th highest-grossing Tamil film of 2024, behind Vettaiyan (253.50+ crores gross), Amaran (332.50+ crores gross), and The Greatest of All Time (457+ crores gross). Mumbai, December 13 - Pushpa 2 starts the second weekend with a fantastic hold at the Hindi box office with the collection coming in more or less in the same range as yesterday, the second Thursday. In the first week, the movie minted around 425 crores net collection in Hindi.## According to the early estimates, Pushpa 2 has scored in the range of 26-27 crores on its second Friday/9th day in Hindi, pushing the total collection to over 450 crores net. The second weekend is probably heading for 100+ crores net with a drop of around 50% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend which is an excellent hold. ## As said, Pushpa 2 will enter the 500 crores net club by the second Sunday (11 days) and will become the fastest to achieve this feat, taking 7 fewer days than Jawan which is currently the fastest to do so in 18 days. Pushpa 2 is certain to beat Stree 2 (598 crores net), probably by next weekend to become the biggest Hindi grosser. ## Apart from Hindi, the Allu Arjun-fronted blockbuster action drama has a decent hold in Telugu states and the rest of the market as overall second Friday is estimated to gross in the range of 40 crores in all versions. Mumbai, December 13 - The hugely-anticipated film of director SS Rajamouli with superstar Mahesh Babu is gearing up to go on floors early next year. The pre-production of the film, tentatively called SSMB 29, is ongoing and the makers will officially announce the project soon. ## According to the latest report by Filmfare, the makers are in talks with India's global star Priyanka Chopra to come on board to play the female lead. The actress hasn't done an Indian movie since The Sky Is Pink (2019), but SSMB 29 can be her mega comeback to the Indian cinema if the report is true. ## While there haven't been any official words from the makers yet, the movie has been making buzz for quite some time with its casting. It is said that Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the antagonist role in this mega project Pan India world movie and rumours are that it will also have international actors playing prominent parts.## SSMB 29, which was hyped as a globe-trotting action adventure by SS Rajamouli, is one of the most ambitious films in the making with a rumoured budget of 1000 crores. Hyderabad, December 13 - In a shocking turn of events, superstar Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in a case related to a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad where a woman died. This happened when the premiere of the actor's Pushpa 2 - The Rule was held and was attended by Allu Arjun and family on December 4. ## Now, according to the latest media reports, the bail of Allu Arjun has been rejected and sent to 14-dau judicial custody by a local court in Telangana in the case in which the deceased son was also injured and undergoing treatment. The actor has moved the Telangana High Court for urgent relief.## Earlier in the day, a police team, headed by the assistant commissioner, arrived at Arjun's home to take him into custody whilst his family members were present. The authorities escorted him to their vehicle before transporting him to the police station. ## Meanwhile, industry people have come in support of the actor, including Bollywood star Varun Dhawan who believes that Allu Arjun was not at all fault in that unfortunate case and that it was the responsibility of the authorities to handle the situation. ## It has also been reported that Sandhya Theater owners had resorted to police protection to handle the crowd during the premiere of the film but it wasn't provided. ## Stay tuned...
