Mumbai, December 3 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's next film in the lead role, crime thriller Raid 2 release date has moved back by 3 months and it will now be released in May 2025. The film is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and is the sequel to 2018's Raid. ## Produced by Panorama Studios and T-Series Films, Raid 2 was scheduled for February 21, 2025, release and it will now hit the big screen on May 1st. Ajay Devgn will return to reprise his role as IRS Ajay Devgn. Ritesh Deshmukh is playing the antagonist role while Vaani Kapoor is the female lead. ## The postponement of Raid 2 on May 1st means Ajay Devgn's romantic comedy De De Pyaar 2 which is scheduled for the same date, has also been postponed. The new release date of DDPD 2, however, is yet to be announced officially by the makers. ## DDPD 2 is directed by Anshul Sharma and it will see Ajay Devgn returning to reprise his role along with Rakul Preet Singh while R. Madhavan is the new addition to the cast. It is produced by T-Series and Luv Films. ## Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn's Singham Again is currently playing in theatres with a worldwide gross collection of around 375 crores. Mumbai, December 3 - The pre-sales of Pushpa 2 - The Rule has surpassed 100 crores gross for the opening day at the worldwide box office with more than a day still left for the release. The action drama, starring superstar Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil is scheduled to be released on December 5. ## Directed by Sukumar, the film has amassed 30+ crores gross pre-sales at the overseas box office while domestic sales are 70+ crores gross (including the early premiers on December 4 night). This makes it the second Indian movie of 2024 to top 100 crores worldwide advance booking gross for the first day after Kalki 2898 AD. ## Pushpa 2 has beaten Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD in the domestic opening day pre-sales. Kalki had scored 62 crores gross which Allu Arjun-fronted achieved a day before as pure first-day sales of the film are around 66.50 crores gross (as of 8 PM on December 3). ## The film has already become Allu Arjun's biggest domestic and worldwide opener with pre-sales only. The actor's previous biggest starter was Pushpa - The Rise which took an opening of approximately 64 crores gross worldwide, including around 53 crores in India. ## As said before, Pushpa 2 is eyeing a 200+ crores gross start in India which will be a record while worldwide opening might be as high as 300 crores, again a record for an Indian title. Mumbai, December 3 - After the blockbuster successes of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is now focussing more on the franchises rather than standalone films. He has already lined up the sequel to Pati, Patni Aur Woh and potentially Aashiqui 3 as well. ## At a time when sequels to successful films have almost become a guarantee of emerging hits, Kartik has reportedly started talks with filmmaker Luv Ranjan, with whom he has worked on 4 films, to make the second part of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, which was a huge success for the duo in 2018. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Kartik and Luv Ranjan have initiated talks for Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety 2, with plans to start filming in the second half of 2025. It is said that Ranjan pitched the idea for SKTKS 2 recently and it was approved by the actor immediately. ## Ranjan is currently writing the screenplay for the second part of this romantic comedy, however, it is not yet confirmed whether it will be the continuation of the first part or will completely be a new story. Hyderabad, December 3 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pan India action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule is all set to storm the box office on December 5, and ahead of this much-awaited debut, the third film of the franchise has been confirmed with the title Pushpa - The Rampage. ## According to the reports, the climax of Pushpa 2 will lead to the third part and it is said that a small teaser has been attached to the same. The details of the third part have not been revealed yet and it may take some time to get on the floor. ## In the viral picture on social media, sound designer Resul Pookutty and the rest of the crew members standing in front of a screen with the third film's title. Resul Pookutty reportedly posted the picture before deleting it soon.## Interestingly, actor Vijay Devarkonda, who is not a part of the project (yet), hinted about Pushpa - The Rampage nearly 3 years ago in January 2022 when he wished director Sukumar on his birthday. Hyderabad, December 3 - Ahead of the two days of release, superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has topped 50 crores gross pre-sales for the opening day in India for all versions, becoming the second film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD.## Directed by Sukumar, the advance booking sales of this highly-anticipated film stands at approximately 50.25+ crores gross (including block seats) for the first day as of 10 AM on December 3. The original Telugu version leads the charge, followed by the Hindi version. ## With the final 2 days left, the pre-sales are expected to pick up rapidly as more shows are being added across versions, especially in Hindi and Telugu. The actor shared the news on his Instagram account and confirmed that 2025 will be the end of his acting career.## "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it's time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor", the actor said.## Confirming the retirement "until time deems right", Vikrant added, "So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Los Angeles, December 2—The Hollywood box office is on fire. Americans spent over $400 million in the last five days, an all-time record for the Thanksgiving weekend where Disney's Moana 2, Universal Pictures' Wicked and Paramount's Gladiator II were the chief architect of it. ## Moana 2, a sequel to Disney's near $700 million worldwide grosser, was in the mood to sweep the domestic box office this past weekend. The film grossed a tsunamic $225 million over 5-days, a Thanksgiving record and the biggest opening for an animated title. ## Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande-led Wicked was the second-best movie during the same frame, which was its second weekend with a gigantic $119.5 million, helping its total domestic cume to reach $262 million in 10 days. Ridley Scott's R-rated epic Gladiator 2 came third with $44 million over 5-days Thanksgiving weekend. ## The combined telly of Moana 2, Wicked, and Gladiator of $387+ million was more than enough to script the biggest-ever Thanksgiving weekend at the North American box office, surpassing 2018's Thanksgiving weekend of $315 million singlehandedly.## It wasn't just about only three aforementioned movies, as the total 5-day holiday weekend this year was approximately $425+ million, including Red One ($13 million), and a few other movies, at the US box office.
