Mumbai, November 4 - The Bollywood releases on Diwali 2024, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 have had a big first weekend each at the domestic box office. Both the movies managed to score 100+ crores each and this is the first time that 2 Bollywood films have scored 100 crores net each in the same weekend. ## Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn along with a strong supporting cast, was the biggest beneficiary during the holiday weekend. The movie scored approximately 121.75 crores net in 3 days and became the 123rd film to enter the 100 crores club in Hindi. ## It is the 14th movie of Ajay Devgn to enter the 100 crore club and the first 100 crore weekend opener for him, beating Golmaal Again which minted approximately 87.60 crores net. For director Rohit Shetty, Singham Again is his biggest and second movie to open with 100 crores net, after Chennai Express (100.50 crores net). ## The horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, despite the fewer screens, competed strongly in the clash with the cop actioner to score the opening weekend of approximately 106 crores net. It is the first movie of the actor and director Anees Bazmee to score 100 crore or more in the first weekend. ## BB3 is the 124th Hindi film to the 100 crore club and for Kartik, this is his 3rd movie to achieve the feat after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Los Angeles, November 4 - Superstar Allu Arjun's highly-anticipated action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule is all set for a thunderous start at the North American box office sensational response in the pre-sales in early trends. ## The pre-sales of the movie opened just yesterday and it has already sold over 11K tickets worth $300K from 2200 shows for the premiere. The premiere, scheduled on December 4, is still 31 days away and this response indicates one of the biggest openings or possibly the biggest for an Indian movie in North America. ## The buzz for the movie is at an all-time high, and considering that, the leading theatre chains such as Cinemark, Regal, Marcus, and Emagine have already opened full-fledged pre-sales there. The trade is expecting the momentum to continue till release and the plans have been made to give it the biggest release for an Indian title yet. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 has been hot ever since the first part - Pushpa: The Rise released in 2021. Chennai, November 4 - The biographical war action drama Amaran has had a sensational first weekend at the domestic and worldwide box office, exceeding expectations by a long margin. The movie is proving to be a game changer for actor Sivakarthikeyan whose rise over the last few years has been noteworthy. ## Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran grossed around 25 crores domestically in India on Sunday, which took its total collection to approximately 95.50 crores in 4 days, making it the biggest domestic grosser for the actor. By today (5th day), it will become the first 100 crore domestic grosser for the actor. ## The domestic gross includes an excellent 66.50+ crores in the home state, Tamil Nadu and it will most likely enter the 100 crore club in the state by the second weekend. Apart from TN, the movie has done in Telugu states to gross around 16.00 crores, followed by 7.50 crores in Karnataka, 4.30+ crores in Kerala and over 1 crore in the rest of the domestic market.## Overseas, the film has grossed an estimated 43 crores in the 4-day opening weekend, pushing the total worldwide collection to around 138.50 crores. It has surpassed the lifetime total of Don (114 crores gross) to become Siva's biggest worldwide grosser in just 4 days which is remarkable. It is also the biggest grosser for director Periasamy and actress Sai Pallavi. ## Amaran is expected to surpass Kamal Haasan and S. Shankar's Indian 2 (149 crores gross) by the end of the 5th day to become the 4th biggest Tamil grosser of 2024. Mumbai, November 3 - Actor Kartik Aaryan scores his first 100 crores opener in the form of horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 after the movie showed excellent trend during the Diwali weekend despite a major clash with Ajay Devgn's Singham Again. ## After the career-best opening of 35.50 crores net, followed by a minor jump on Saturday, BB3 holds well on Sunday to score an estimated 32-33 crores net collection with a drop of around 10%-15%. This takes the total collection to around 104+ crores net in 3 days. ## The opening weekend collection of BB3 is almost double that of its predecessor which minted approximately 56 crores in the first weekend and 92 crores in the first full week. It is also the biggest first weekend for director Anees Bazmee and the rest of the main cast. ## BB3 has shown a better trend than Singham Again and the public reception also seems to be in the favour of horror-comedy. Mumbai, November 3 - Director Rohit Shetty's cop action drama Singham Again has a fantastic opening weekend at the domestic box office with around 120 crores net which is the highest ever for the director and actor Ajay Devgn. ## After an excellent first 2 days of over 40 crores each, the movie sees a drop of around 20% on Sunday for an estimated 35-36 crores net collection, taking the total to around 120 crores in 3 days. It has surpassed the opening weekend collection of Golmaal Again and Chennai Express to emerge as the biggest opener for Devgn and Shetty, respectively. ## The movie has done very well so far in collecting these numbers despite a major clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is equally doing fantastic. The drop might be a little higher but it was always going to be tough for the movie to sustain the collection on Friday or Saturday numbers due to holiday factors and the next day is a working day. ## It all boils down to Monday when the movie will need to hold well to get the benefit of a fantastic weekend and to have long legs at the box office. Mumbai, November 3: Singham Again, despite competing with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, opened robustly at the box office on November 1, 2024, with an impressive India net collection of 43.70 Cr (producers figure). However, discrepancies in reported figures have led to speculation about the authenticity of these numbers, with some trade analysts citing collections between 38 Cr to 41 Cr for Hindi net. ## Our analysis reveals that the film's tracked gross collection from 13,810 shows on its opening day was 43.44 Cr. Typically, there's a 2%-5% variance between online ticket sales data and actual attendance due to last-minute bookings or ticket sales at the box office after online platforms close. This adjustment pushes the estimated online collection to between 44.30 Cr and 45.61 Cr. ## Moreover, the offline market, which includes single-screen theaters not represented in online booking systems, adds another layer to the collection tally. Historical data from blockbuster releases like "Jawan," "Gadar 2," and "Stree 2" suggest that offline collections can significantly boost total figures. For instance, "Stree 2" tracked collection was 47 Cr gross but later adjusted to nearly 65 Cr Gross due to offline sales. ## The offline market for the Hindi belt is around 20 Cr Gross. Given the Diwali release and competition, it's estimated that "Singham Again" captured about 11 Cr from the offline market, split in a 55:45 ratio with "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3." With an overall occupancy rate of 65% and considering data from over 100 single-screen theaters, we estimate "Singham Again" garnered approximately 7.50 Cr from this segment. Mumbai, November 3 - The Diwali 2024 Bollywood blockbusters, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are scripting history at the box office and on the second day in a row, both the movies have combined deliver the single-day record in Hindi. ## On November 1, both Singham 3 and BB3 combined scored 79 crores net which was the single biggest day ever in Hindi at the Indian box office. Both the movies bettered their numbers on Day 2 to score approximately 79.50 crores net combined which is a new single-day record. ## As reported earlier, before the release of the latest tentpoles, the biggest single-day collection record came on September 10 last year when Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan was released.
