Mumbai, October 31 - Marvel Studios and Disney's mega-blockbuster superhero movie Deadpool & Wolverine has set its streaming date in India. The film is directed by Shawn Levy and stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the title roles. ## Deadpool and Wolverine will start streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on November 12 in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages, 108 days after its theatrical release on July 26. It will also stream in the US on the same date on Disney Plus. ## The third instalment of the Deadpool franchise is the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time with a worldwide box office collection of $1.33 billion. It is also the second highest-grossing film of 2024, after Disney/Pixar's Inside Out 2 ($1.69 billion).## In India, Deadpool 3 is the 7th highest-grossing Hollywood film ever with approximately $20 million (169 crores gross). It is by far the biggest Hollywood grosser of the year here and also the highest-grossing A-rated non-Indian title of all time. ## It is the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). Chennai, October 30 - Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan's biographical war action drama film Amaran is creating a sensation in the advance booking which is easily the highest ever for the actor. The film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. ## The pre-sales of Amaran are simply sensational and one of the best of 2024 in the home state, Tamil Nadu. With few hours still left for the first show to begin, the bookings for the movie are around 10 crores gross for the opening day in the state while all India sales around 12 crores gross which is excellent. ## Amaran is heading towards the third biggest opening of 2024 in Tamil Nadu. The movie has a shot at scoring 15 crores gross start in the state which will be higher than Kamal Haasan's Indian 2's 13 crores opening. ## Thalapathy Vijay's The GOAT and superstar Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan are currently the top 2 openers in Tamil Nadu with 29.50 crores and 20.50 crores, respectively. ## Apart from the home state, Amaran is also witnessing good pre-sales in Telugu states. Mumbai, October 30 - After the record-breaking success of Stree 2, Maddock Films is upping the ante and has announced the next film in its horror-comedy universe Thama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. ## Thama will be directed by Munjya fame Aditya Sarpotdar and it also stars Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in prominent roles. Mumbai, October 30 - A week-long tussle between Singham Again and Bhool Bhualaiyaa 3 over screen sharing finally comes to a conclusion and the full-fledged advance booking for both films has opened nationwide. The initial response in the pre-sales is promising for both films. ## Since both Singham Again and BB3 are releasing on the same day (November 1), the race to grab maximum screens was heating up and in this game of power, Rohit Shetty's directorial cop action drama has got the upper hand in showcasing almost all properties. ## It is learned that Singham 3 has been allotted 60% of total shows while BB3 got 40% of shows in all major multiplex chains like PVR-INOX, MovieMax, NY Cinemas, Rajhans, MovieTime, and Miraj. Cinepolis has given 58% of shows to SA, and 42% of shows to BB3. ## In single screens, where both franchises command massive popularity, the showcasing is 60:40 in favour of Singham Again. This gives SA a massive advantage to cash in the big opportunity as the film is expected to open with a bang at the box office while BB3 is also riding on superb buzz and is likely to open big. ## Meanwhile, the pre-sales of both movies are witnessing superb momentum after more shows opened bookings. Los Angeles, October 30 - Disney's hugely-anticipated animated musical adventure film Moana 2 is bracing up for a massive opening at the domestic (North America) box office after pre-sales off to record start for an animated movie of 2024.## According to the online ticketing platform Fandango, the Walt Disney Animation Studios tentpole set records Monday in terms of first-day advance ticket sales for 2024 animated titles, beating Disney/Pixar's billion-dollar grosser Inside Out 2. The platform didn't provide pre-sales numbers. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first-day pre-sales of Moana 2 are the fourth best for any movie of 2024, behind only Deadpool & Wolverine, Wicked and Dune: Part 2. The blockbuster sequel is scheduled to hit the big screens on November 27 during Thanksgiving weekend.## Disney/Pixar's Inside Out 2 opened to a massive $154 million in its 3-day opening weekend and the trade's projecting a $150+ million start for Moana 2 as well over the 5-day weekend. The original Moana, released in 2016, took an opening of $56+ million domestically and went on to gross $643 million worldwide, including $248.7 million in North America. ## The sequel, directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, follows Moana as she embarks on an unexpected adventure in long-lost waters after receiving a call from her ancestors. Chennai, October 30 - Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe is immensely popular among the fans with some of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema featuring in it. Amid the high-profile films, the filmmaker has announced a new entry in the LCU in the form of Raghava Lawrence-fronted BENZ. The story is written by Kanagaraj. ## Benz is directed by Bakkiyaraj Kanna and produced by Lokesh Kanagaraj's GSqaud in association with Passion Studios The Route. The filmmakers shared the first look glimpse of this action thriller in which Raghava Lawrence is seen in a stylish look as a chef with a gun in hand in a kitchen.## The film's tagline reads - "Wanted: Dead or Alive". Benz will most likely be the next film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) and the shoot for the same will commence soon. Chennai, October 29 - With just 2 weeks left for the release, Tamil star Suriya's much-anticipated Pan India movie Kanguva has reportedly completed censorship formalities and the reports are super positive. The film is directed by Siruthai Siva and also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in prominent roles. ## According to the reports, Kanguva has been censored with a 'U/A' certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 34 minutes. The movie was censored on October 29 with some modifications and without any major cuts.## The runtime of the film seems to be on the right side and as per reports, the CBFC team showered high praise for this Suriya-starrer for making one of its kind film. Per the plot summary, "Francis, a carefree shadow cop in Goa, finds his fate inexplicably linked to fearless Kanguva, an ancient warrior. Mumbai, October 29 - Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh teamed up to lead Yash Raj Films' first female-led Spy Universe film titled Alpha. The movie is directed by Shiv Rawail and is the 7th film in YRF's Spy Universe film. ## It was recently reported that Hrithik Roshan will have a cameo role in Alpha as RAW agent Kabir and according to the report by Pinkvilla, the actor will shoot for this smashing role in Mumbai on November 9. The cameo will lead to a massive action block featuring the trio of Hrithik, Alia and Sharvari.## In Alpha, it will be the first time when Hrithik's character as Agent Kabir will have a crossover in the Spy Universe. The actor plays the part of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's mentor as a long-term plan for the universe. Hrithik will be training and rehearsing for his part from November 6 in Mumbai. It's 3-days of prep, followed by 8 days of shoot. ## After shooting for his cameo in Alpha, Hrithik will shoot for the climax of War 2 with Jr. NTR in the second half of November.
