Mumbai, August 5 - Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-fronted superhero comedy Deadpool and Wolverine has surpassed $800 million at the worldwide box office, and with this, it has become the highest-grossing film in the Deadpool franchise, beating Deadpool 2. ## Directed by Shawn Levy, the 34th Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) tentpole has grossed $824 million (6905 crores) through the second weekend, surpassing the entire theatrical runs of 2016's Deadpool ($783 million) and 2018s Deadpool 2 ($786 million) as the top grosser in the franchise.## Domestically (North America), Deadpool 3 has grossed $395.6 million (3315 crores) in just 10 days. It has become the highest-grossing R-rated film in North America after beating The Passion Of The Christ which scored $371 million in 2004.## At the overseas box office, the third Deadpool instalment has minted $428.5 million (3590 crores) over 52 markets. China continued to lead the international chart for the movie with $45.2 million, followed by the United Kingdom ($42.4 million), Mexico ($32.8 million), Australia ($24.6 million), and Germany ($19 million). In India, the movie has grossed an excellent $16+ million in 10 days.## Deadpool 3 is the third highest-grossing R-rated film of all time at the worldwide box office, behind only Oppenheimer ($975 million), and Joker ($1.07 billion). Chennai, August 4 - Tamil action thriller Raayan has become the highest-grossing film for the actor Dhanush after the excellent second weekend at the worldwide box office in which it also became the actor's third 100 crores grosser.## Directed by Dhanush, Raayan has beaten the entire run of Thiruchitrambalam (117 crores worldwide gross) on its second Sunday in just 10 days. The movie is looking to score around 10 crores worldwide on Sunday, which will take its total collection to around 123 crores gross. ## Interestingly, Thiruchitrambalam became actor Dhanush's first 100 crores grosser in 2022, followed by Vaathi which grossed approximately 116 crores in 2023. As a director, Raayan is Dhanush's first century at the worldwide box office.## Produced by Sun Pictures, the A-rated blockbuster is also the only third Tamil movie of 2024 to top 100 crores, and it is currently behind only Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 (148+ crores) as the second biggest Tamil grosser of the year. ## The movie stars Dhanush in the titular role, leading an ensemble cast which includes S. Mumbai, August 4 - After dropping below the 1 crore net mark (only the third time so far) on its 37th day, Prabhas-fronted epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD scored nearly 100% jump on its 6th Saturday at the domestic box office as it closes in the gap with Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic scored an estimated 1.25 crores collection (1.45+ crores gross) on its 38th day which takes its total collection to around 638 crores net (757.50 crores gross) in all versions so far. ## Kalki 2898 AD will cross Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan's 640 crores net (760 crores gross) by today or tomorrow to become the 4th highest-grossing movie ever at the Indian box office, after RRR (782 crores net/916 crores gross), KGF: Chapter 2 (860 crores net/1001 crores gross), Baahubali 2 (1030 crores net/1417 crores gross).## At the worldwide box office, Kalki stands at an estimated 1032 crores gross, including 274.50 crores from the international markets. Mumbai, August 4 - Marvel Studios' Deadpool and Wolverine is putting up a show as it has become the 15th Hollywood movie of all time to surpass 100 crores net collection at the Indian box office. The movie hit 100 crores net collection on its 9th day, becoming one of the fastest to reach the milestone.## The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-fronted superhero comedy witnessed a huge jump of around 75% on its second Saturday to score an estimated 7.50 crores net (9 crores gross) collection. This takes the film's total net collection to over 101.50 crores (127.50 crores gross/$15.2 million) in 9 days.## Deadpool & Wolverine is the second Hollywood movie of 2024 after Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and the 15h overall to top 100 crores net in India. It will cross The New Empire (112.50 crores net), along with Jurassic World (101 crores net), Thor: Love And Thunder (104.75 crores net), Fast & Furious 7 (108 crores net), Fast X (109.75 crores net), and Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (110 crores net) by today or tomorrow to become the 9th biggest Hollywood net grosser in India.## Meanwhile, Deadpool 3 has crossed $800 million at the worldwide box office on its second Saturday (PST) and it will be topping $1 billion globally sometime during the second week to become only the second movie of 2024 and 55th of all-time to achieve the feat.## Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool 3 is the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). Mumbai, August 3 - Ajay Devgn-fronted romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is heading towards becoming a huge disaster at the box office after failing to score must big jump on the second day after the disastrous opening. ## The Neeraj Pandey's directorial feature scored one of the lowest openings featuring a credible movie star at approximately 1.85 crores. The opening of the movie almost sealed its fate but it could have reignited hopes by scoring big on Saturday and Sunday which is not happening.## According to the early estimates, the film scored in the range of 2.25 crores net on its second day/first Saturday, with around a 20% jump which is not enough to gain the lost ground. 2-day collection of the film is around 4 crores net as the first weekend is headed for a disappointing 6.50-7 crores net.## Janhvi Kapoor's Ulajh is showing a much better trend than AMKDT, however, the overall collection remains low as it also heading to meet the same fate as Ajay Devgn-starrer. On its second day, Ulajh scored an estimated 1.50-1.75 crores crores, jumping by around 40% from the opening day.## The total collection of the movie is around 2.75 crores net after 2 days and the first weekend is expected to be around 5 crores net. Chennai, August 3 - Tamil star Dhanush's action thriller Raayan is turning out to be a huge box-office success, crossing 100 crores gross worldwide in just 8 days. It has become only the third Tamil movie of 2024 to hit the box office century after Indian 2 and Maharaja.## Written, directed, and headlined by Dhanush, Raayan grossed approximately 3.50 crores domestically on its second Friday (8th day), taking its total domestic cume to approximately 72.75 crores gross. The movie nears 50 crores gross in Tamil Nadu after 8 days and will cross this figure on Saturday.## At the overseas box office, the A-rated action blockbuster has minted an estimated 32+ crores gross, taking the worldwide cume to over 100 crores mark at 105 crores approx. in just 8 days. Mumbai, August 3 - Kalki 2898 AD started the 6th weekend with a decent hold though the trend is slowing down. It has been difficult for Telugu movies to sustain for a longer period at the box office in recent times but the Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic has been defying odds to hold its ground. ## The movie scored approximately 65 lakh net collection on its 6th Friday (37th day), dropping under 50% drop from the 5th Friday which is a decent hold. Though the makers announced a heavily discounted offer for the 1 week from August 2nd, it didn't make much difference as it still could have scored this collection with regular prices with a few lakhs here and there. ## The total collection of Kalki 2898 AD stands at an estimated 636.50 crores net (756 crores gross) after 37 days in all versions. At this stage, it looks unlikely for the movie to top 650 crores net, however, it will top Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan's lifetime domestic collection of 640 crores net (760 crores gross) in the coming days to become the 4th biggest grosser at the Indian box office.## At the worldwide box office, the Nag Ashwin's directorial blockbuster stands at an estimated 1030+ crores gross, including 274+ crores from the international markets. Mumbai, August 2 - Amid the low expectations, Ajay Devgn-fronted romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha sinks further to score one of the lowest openings for the actor in many many years which was expected given the almost nothing buzz.## According to the early estimates, AMKDT scored in the range of 2 (+/-) crores net on its opening day. The opening of the movie is lower than Akshay Kumar's Selfiee which is a major disappointment. There is not much hope left due to the poor word of mouth.## The pre-sales of the movie were horrible but it was still expected to take a decent start due to the presence of Ajay Devgn. The opening weekend will be under the 10 crores net mark, making it the back-to-back disaster for the actor after Maidaan.## Another release of the day, Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Ulajh followed a similar story with a poorer start at the domestic box office. Mumbai, August 2 - The sequel to Ajay Devgn-fronted Son of Sardaar is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated movies with a massive cast on board to entertain the audiences, apart from Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt who return to reprise their roles from the original movie. ## It was recently revealed that Mrunal Thakur would be playing the female lead, replacing Sonakshi Sinha from the first movie in the sequel. Now, the film's full star cast has been revealed and the makers have got a big ensemble cast on board the film. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Son of Sardaar 2 will feature Vijay Raaz, Ravi Kishan, Chunkey Pandey, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Mukul Dev, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia and Ashwini Kalsekar in key roles alongside Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Mrunal Thakur. ## The report further said that the plot of this comic caper rides on quirky characters and the humour is a result of the inter-character dynamics. Mumbai, August 1 - Disney's Pixar blockbuster Inside Out 2 has cracked the all-time top 10 highest-grossing movies at the worldwide box office, after outgrossing Marvel Studios/Disney's The Avengers through 8th Wednesday. ## The coming-of-age film animated tentpole has topped $1.524 billion (12765 crores) after the 8th Wednesday and has crossed The Avengers's $1.523 billion to become the 10th highest-grossing film ever at the global box office.## Directed by Kelsey Mann in his feature directorial debut, Inside Out 2 has grossed $618.7 million (5180 crores) in North America while the overseas collection is $905.3 million (7585 crores). It is already the highest-grossing animated movie worldwide. ## Mexico is the biggest international market for IO2 with $100.5 million, followed by Brazil where it has become the highest-grossing movie ever with $77.3 million. The UK is the third biggest with $65 million while Korea ($58 million) and France ($55.6 million) are at the 4th and 5th spot.## Inside Out 2 was released on June 12 internationally before debuting in North America on June 14. It scored $295 million in its worldwide opening weekend which is the biggest for an animated movie ever. The sequel topped $1 billion gross in just 19 days, again making it the fastest animated title to reach the milestone.## The movie is projected to finish its lifetime run between $1.60 billion and $1.70 billion.
