Mumbai, July 19 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor's action thriller Deva has been postponed to Valentine's Day 2025. Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Roshhan Andrrews in his Hindi debut, the movie has Pooja Hegde as the female lead. ## Deva was supposed to be released on October 11 this year but due to the packed schedule, it has now been postponed to February 14, 2025. The makers announced the new release date with a new still giving a fresh look at Shahid Kapoor who is playing the role of a police officer.## In the new still, Shahid can be seen in a fierce avatar, donning a body protector emblazoned with 'POLICE' and wielding a gun as the caption reads, "Get ready for a VIOLENT VALENTINE's DAY. Mumbai, July 19 - Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has shared some exciting news about the future of its horror-comedy universe and also revealed the next movie after Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 which is scheduled to be released on August 15. ## During the trailer launch event of Stree 2 on July 18 in Mumbai, Dinesh Vijan shared fascinating information about what viewers can expect after Stree 2 which is the 5th movie in Maddock Supernatural Universe after Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya.## Speaking about the movie, the filmmaker said, "Stree 2 is like the mother ship. It answers a lot of questions that Stree's first part raised. It also tells you what the connections are". Mumbai, July 19 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has had another good outing at the Hindi box office in the third week, scoring over 30 crores net collection as one of the biggest third weeks for a South Indian movie in Hindi. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial, in its third frame, scored an estimated 33 crores net collection. Among the biggest third weeks in Hindi for all movies, Kalki is in the 14th spot and when it comes to South Indian movies, it has the 4th biggest third week in the dubbed version.## SS Rajamouli and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion remains the biggest third-week grosser (for all movies) in Hindi with approximately 70 crores net. Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 is the second biggest in the list, followed by RRR at third among the South Indian films. ## Here are the top 5 biggest South Indian grosser in the third week in Hindi (net collection) - 1. Mumbai, July 18 - The Hindi box office may have another surprise winner this weekend in Dharma Productions' comedy drama Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the leading roles. The movie is directed by Anand Tiwari and co-produced by Leo Media Collective. ## The film's advance booking opened a couple of days ago and unlike its title, the booking trend has been good news for the industry and the makers in particular. In comparison to previous movies, the pre-sales of Bad Newz are much better than most of them and it even topped Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon's Crew after the superb jump in the last hours. ## Crew although opened to 9.25 crores net is still one of the biggest openers of the year and Bad Newz will look to come close to these numbers. Depending on how the spot booking fares, Bad Newz, which is expected to be released on over 2000 screens, should open in the range of 9 crores (+/-) net collection while a double-digit start also can not be ruled out (optimistic). ## As can be guessed in the pre-sales, the buzz for Bad Newz has been good thanks to the trailer which was well received and the songs which have set the tone. Hyderabad, July 18 - Actor Vishnu Manchu's mega-budgeted fantasy film Kannappa also featuring multiple cameos of superstars, has announced a December 2024 release in multiple languages, amid the rumours of the postponement of superstar Allu Arjun's highly-awaited Pushpa 2 - The Rule.## There are rumours that Pushpa 2 - The Rule, which is scheduled to be released on December 6 this year, might get postponed due to the pending shot because of a rumoured rift between Allu Arjun and director Sukumar. However, some reliable portals have reported that the movie is well on track for a December 6 release as Sukumar has reportedly started editing the first half of the movie before resuming the last leg of the shoot in August. ## Though the postponement of the Pushpa 2 release looks unlikely, Vishnu Manchu has locked the December 2024 release (date not revealed yet), after might be sensing a crack in the Allu Arjun-fronted tentpole. Hyderabad, July 18 - Vyjayanthi Movies' epic sci-fi blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD is marching towards 1000 crores club at the worldwide box office and before reaching the milestone, it has created a new milestone of selling the highest number of tickets on Book My Show. ## The Prabhas-fronted tentpole has so far sold around 12.50 million (1.25 crores) tickets for all days, which is the highest for any movie since the platform started updating hourly trends on its app. It has beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan which sold approximately 1.24 crores of tickets on BMS. ## Including Book My Show sold tickets, Nag Ashwin's directorial movie has sold an estimated 3.30 crores (33 million) tickets in 21 days so far. It has grossed an estimated 708 crores (596 crores net) at the domestic box office so far and is heading towards finishing around 750 crores gross final. ## Kalki 2898 AD is the fifth highest-grossing film in India and the 7th highest-grossing Indian title at the worldwide box office with 970+ crores gross so far. Mumbai, July 18 - Director Nag Ashwin's dystopian future sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has taken the box office by storm to become one of the biggest blockbusters. The movie starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani is nearing 1000 crores worldwide gross which will make it only the 7th Indian movie ever to do so. ## Recently, Prabhas thanked his fans for making Kalki 2898 AD a massive box office success and also expressed gratitude towards his co-stars in the movie. As the movie is still running well in theatres, legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan have shared their joy at the film's success and expressed gratitude for being a part of it. ## "For Prabhas, this may be something of a routine because a lot of his films (Baahubali 2) cross this Rs 1000 crore figure, but for me, I am truly indebted and very grateful to have been made a part of this huge concept called Kalki. Mumbai, July 18 - In a massive but pleasant surprise, Joe and Anthony Russo, famously known as the Russo brothers, are in talks to return to the MCU to helm the next two Avengers movies, according to the report by The Hollywood Reporter.## It is to be noted that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton was originally set to direct Avengers 5 but he backed out last year after the movie faced major hurdles due to the controversy surrounding actor Jonathan Majors who was to play the centre role as the main villain, Kang.## Marvel Studios has been searching for directors to oversee the fifth and sixth Avengers movies for a long time. The studio had earlier reportedly reached out to Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy for the fifth Avengers movie, but he had turned the offer down in the past. ## The talks with the Russo Brothers are in the early stages and if they agree, it will mark a homecoming for the director duo who once was the biggest IP of Marvel. They have directed four of Marvel's biggest movies, Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), followed by Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). ## The four Marvel movies directed by Russos generated a combined gross of $6.68+ billion, including Endgame ($2.79 billion) as the second highest-grossing movie ever at the worldwide box office behind only James Cameron's Avatar with $2.92 billion. ## Meanwhile, the fifth Avengers movie, scheduled to be released on 1 May 2026, was originally titled Avengers: Kang Dynasty and was to star Jonathan Majors as time-traveling villain Kang.
