Chennai, April 22 - Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has teamed up with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the first time for his 171st film which has been titled Coolie. The action drama will be produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. ## The highly-awaited film got its first-look title teaser on April 22. The teaser gives a glimpse into the world of gangsters, set against the backdrop of gold smuggling. It shows a group of gangsters in a warehouse of gold before Rajinikanth takes control of it by thrashing the goons. ## Coolie promises another mass entertainer from Lokesh Kanagaraj while Anirudh Ravichandar's BGM impresses as always. The shoot of the movie commences in June this year for a Pan India 2025 release in multiple languages. Mumbai, April 22 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is reuniting with filmmaker Luv Ranjan and Bhushan Kumar for the sequel to their hit rom-com De De Pyaar De which also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu in pivotal roles. The sequel will be directed by Anshul Sharma, replacing Akiv Ali who helmed the first film. ## De De Pyaar De 2 is one of the most anticipated Bollywood films in the making and now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers have locked in veteran Anil Kapoor to play a key role. The actor is likely to play the role of Rakul Preet Singh's father in the movie and will have confrontation scenes with Ajay Devgn. ## "Anil was bowled over by the concept of DDPD 2 and it was an instant yes from him. The humour quotient in De De Pyaar De 2 is said to be a level above the prequel, with an interesting dynamic between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor. Chennai, April 22 - Thalapathy Vijay's sports action drama film Ghilli was re-released on April 20 worldwide and scored the biggest-ever opening for a South Indian movie upon the re-release with a gross collection of approximately 7.75 crores, including 4.75 crores in India. ## The opening of the film proved Vijay's mega pull at the box office which also provided some relief to the Tamil Nadu theatres which are having a dry spell this year. On its second day, the movie scored rock rock-solid hold at the Indian box office. ## Ghilli grossed around 3.75 crores in India on the second day, which is bigger than the opening day of most of the re-release films. The total domestic collection of the movie stands at around 8.50 crores gross in 2 days which is sensational. Worldwide, the movie has crossed the double-digit mark at around 12 crores gross. ## Ghilli is a remake of the Telugu-language 2003 film Okkadu which itself was a big hit at the box office. Kochi, April 21 - Prithviraj Sukumaran's survival thriller Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life is climbing to new heights at the worldwide box office despite slowing down with each passing day. ## After becoming the third highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time, beating Pulimurugan, Aadujeevitham has now become only the third Mollywood title ever to reach the 150 crores mark at the global box office. ## Directed by Blessy, the film grossed over 151+ crores worldwide in 25 days and crossed the 150 crores gross mark. Chennai, April 21 - Thalapathy Vijay's one of the biggest blockbusters, sports action film Ghilli has had a re-release worldwide on April 20 and the response has been the same as it was 20 years ago when the movie opened to houseful boards in theatres. ## There has been a dearth of box office successes for Tamil cinema this year, and filmmakers and distributors have been re-releasing older blockbusters to get some sort of outcome. Thalapathy Vijay is easily the biggest name in Tamil cinema and with the re-release of the film, he proved his box office pull once again. ## As far as the tracked collection is concerned, Ghilli scored 3.40 crores gross in India, and as per the estimates, it minted a fantastic approximately 7.75 crores gross at the worldwide box office, including around 4.75 crores in India and 3 crores overseas which is higher than most of the new releases featuring bankable stars not just in Tamil but in other languages.## Among the South Indian re-releases, Ghilli had the biggest opening, beating Mahesh Babu's Business Man which scored around 5.25 crores gross worldwide. Mumbai, April 21 - Yash Raj Films' War (2019) was one of the biggest blockbusters of the year and the dance number Jai Jai Shiv Shankar featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff emerged as one of the biggest chartbuster songs in recent times. ## The sequel to War has already gone on floors with Ayan Mukerji directing this time. Mumbai, April 20 - Director Kabir Khan's comedy-drama Bajrangi Bhaijaan is one of the most loved films of superstar Salman Khan. Released in 2015, the movie won several accolades and was a big box office blockbuster with a worldwide gross collection of over 900 crores. ## The film was a massive success and won the hearts of the audiences with its emotional story, penned by Vijayendra Prasad. Salman Khan delivered an emotionally charged career-best performance in the film and now, there is good news regarding its long-awaited sequel. ## Over the last few years, there have been talks about Bajrangi Bhaijaan's sequel and it seems it will finally be a reality soon. During a promotional event for actor Ayush Sharma's film Ruslaan, producer KK Radhamohan said in the presence of Vijayendra Prasad that the script of BB2 is ready to which the writer agreed. ## The filmmaker further revealed that Vijayendra Prasad will narrate the script of the sequel to Salman Khan soon and if all goes well, the production will start soon. Kochi, April 19 - Malayalam cinema's biggest ever romantic-comedy blockbuster Premalu will get a sequel for 2025 release, the makers officially announced during the success meet on April 19. ## Girish AD, who wrote and directed the original, will be returning to helm the sequel along with the lead pair of Naslen and Mamitha Baiju. Bhavan Studios in association with Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Working Class Hero will produce it. ## Premalu is the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time at the worldwide box office.
