UFC 256: Figueiredo vs. Moreno is set to take place on December 12, 2020, at the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.## The promotion was initially targeting a UFC Welterweight Championship bout between current champion Kamaru Usman (also The Ultimate Fighter: American Top Team vs. Blackzilians welterweight winner) and Gilbert Burns to serve as the event headliner. The pairing was previously scheduled to meet in July at UFC 251.## However, Burns was pulled from the contest after he and his coach, Greg Jones, tested positive for COVID-19. In turn, Usman faced, and defeated Jorge Masvidal at that event. On October 5, it was reported Usman pulled out from this bout, citing more time needed to recover from undisclosed injuries and the bout was postponed.## While not officially announced by the organization, the promotion was also targeting a UFC Women's Featherweight Championship bout between the current champion Amanda Nunes (also the current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion) and former Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Megan Anderson to serve as the event headliner. In turn, it was announced on November 9 that Nunes pulled out due to an undisclosed injury and the bout was postponed to 2021.## A UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between current champion Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling was originally scheduled to serve as the co-main event. Due to the aforementioned cancelations, they were then expected to headline the card. On November 22, Russian media revealed that the fight was also canceled due to personal reasons related to Yan and is expected to be booked at a later date.Those "personal reasons" were later revealed to be related to visa and travel issues.## Following his first title defense at UFC 255 on November 21, UFC Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo is expected to headline this event against Brandon Moreno, who also fought at that same date. This booking represents the shortest turnaround between title fights by a champion in UFC history at just 21 days. Amid the exciting announcement from the South Indian film industry, the first look of the upcoming Tamil movie, Sulthan has been unveiled on Monday (October 26). On the auspicious day of Dussehra yesterday (October 25), actor Sharwanand announced his next Telugu film titled "Aadaalloo Meeku Johaarlu" with the director Kishore Tirumala who previously helmed movies like Nenu Sailaja, Chitralahari along with few others. ## The Jaanu actor will be paired with Sarileru Neekevvaru actress Rashmika Mandanna in the leading roles. The movie will be bankrolled by Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas banner. Maharashtra Cheif Minister, Uddhav Thackeray commented on the actress Kangana Ranaut and her statements made in the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The Shiv Sena leader spoke at the annual Dussehra rally of the party on Sunday (October 25) and referred to the actor's infamous 'PoK' tweet without taking her name. ## Thackeray defended Mumbai Police and mentioned those 'crying for justice'. He said as reported by India.com, "Mumbai is PoK, there are drug addicts everywhere – they are painting such a picture. They don't know in our house we grow tulsi, not ganja. Ganja fields are in your state, you know where not in our Maharashtra". ## Now the actress has hit out at the CM and said that Himachal Pradesh is a land of Gods with a Zero crime rate (Kangana stated). UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Neal (also known as UFC Fight Night 183, UFC on ESPN+ 41 and UFC Vegas 17) will officially take place on December 19, 2020, at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.## A welterweight bout between Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev was initially scheduled to serve as the event headliner. On November 29, it was announced that Chimaev had tested positive for COVID-19, but would still be able to compete.## In turn, Edwards pulled out two days later after also testing positive. His case was worse than Chimaev's and he was still suffering from severe symptoms of the disease. However, the fight was cancelled on the day of the event's weigh-in as Schnell was deemed medically unfit to compete due to complications related to his weight cut. They are now expected to meet at UFC Fight Night 185.## Belal Muhammad and Sean Brady was expected to take place at this event. However, in late October, Muhammad revealed that Brady had a broken nose and had to pull out of their bout. He was replaced by Dhiego Lima.## A welterweight bout between Belal Muhammad vs. Dhiego Lima was supposed to be in the Preliminary card of this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 183, which had been taken out. Per the report, Belal Muhammad has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been pulled out of his fight against Dhiego Lima.## UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Neal main card will be available on ESPN+ in English and Spanish, starting at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
