Mumbai, August 4 - Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for an epic dance-off with Telugu superstar Jr. NTR in the upcoming spy action thriller War 2. The makers are expected to drop the promo of the song in a couple of days, ahead of the film's grand release on August 14. ## During a recent interview, Hrithik opened up about sharing screen space with the RRR star in this upcoming YRF production. In a candid interview, Hrithik praised his co-star and revealed intriguing details about their much-hyped dance face-off, which is already generating massive buzz among fans. ## Calling Jr. NTR his "favourite co-star", the Fighter said that he is "simply amazing" and admitted that dancing alongside him was not just exciting but also "nerve-wracking." "He's one of the most energetic and dynamic performers we have. I was nervous before the shoot because the choreography demanded the best from both of us," Hrithik said. ## Hrithik had injured his leg during the shooting of his dance-off song. Joking about it, the actor said, "I just hope my leg stays strong. Rehearsals for that one sequence were no less than a war themselves!" Mumbai, August 4 - It was another weekend of surprise blockbusters and underwhelming performances at the Indian box office. Despite the arrival of three new films with known stars, it was Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' Mahavatar Narismha, which dominated the weekend (August 1-3) and emerged as the number 1 film in India. ## Directed by Ashwin Kumar, the epic animated devotional action drama had a remarkable second weekend domestically with approximately 55 crore gross collection (46.50 crores net), up by an unheard growth of around 190% from the opening weekend collection of 19 crores gross (15.85 crores net). For an animated Indian title, these are out of this world numbers. ## The excellent second weekend has taken the total collection of Mahavatar Narsimha to around 108.50 crores gross (91.25 crores net) at the domestic box office, while the worldwide cume total is approximately 112 crores. It is already the highest-grossing Indian animated film of all time by a long margin, and also the highest-grossing animated film in India (not including The Lion King and Mufasa: The Lion King). ## The second biggest grosser of the weekend (August 1-3) at the Indian box office was Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, which otherwise underperformed. It grossed around 30 crores (24.75 crores net) in its opening weekend. Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom, which opened strongly on 21.25 crores gross on Thursday, the movie slowed down after that and grossed 26.50 crores (22.50 crores net) from Friday to Sunday. ## Yash Raj Films' sensational blockbuster Saiyaara was super strong in its third weekend, grossing 23 crores (19.25 crores net), pushing its total domestic collection to around 360 crores gross (~300 crores net) in 17 days. Mumbai, August 4 – Two of the most-awaited Pan India films of the year, War 2 and Coolie, are all set to take on each other at the box office this Independence Day weekend. The spy thriller from Yash Raj Films and the gangster action entertainer from Sun Pictures will both release on August 14, setting up one of the most high-voltage clashes in recent Indian cinema. ## As anticipation builds, the Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani-starrer has won the first battle with the War 2 trailer emerging victorious in terms of YouTube viewership. Within the first 24 hours of release, the trailer clocked an impressive 55 million cumulative views across its Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil versions—more than double the views garnered by Coolie. ## ## Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie stars Rajinikanth in a powerful comeback role and was unveiled with much fanfare during a grand event in Chennai on August 2. The trailer received enthusiastic reviews and registered 23.2 million cumulative views in its first 24 hours. It also scored 1.1 million likes, while dislikes stood at a low 1% (15K). ## ## In comparison, War 2's trailer, which dropped on July 25, not only achieved a significantly higher view count but also maintained a healthy reception with 721K likes and just 3% dislikes (22K). Backed by the vision of director Ayan Mukerji, the film extends the YRF Spy Universe and is already being touted as a box office juggernaut in the making. ## About Coolie ## Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie stars Rajinikanth in the lead, supported by a star-studded ensemble including Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Sathyaraj, and a special cameo by Aamir Khan. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whose soundtrack has already become a rage among fans. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14 and will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. ## About War 2 ## War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Mumbai, August 3 - Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' animated epic devotional drama Mahavatar Narsimha is wreaking havoc at the box office on its second Sunday, and is eyeing 28-30+ crores gross collection in all versions, with a sensational jump of around 55%. ## The film is going from strength to strength and posting unimaginable numbers. To put this into perspective, Mahavatar Narsimha opened to a little over 2 crores gross collection, and by the 10th day, the movie rose to 15x, which is one of the rarest moments. ## With the second Sunday collection, the first movie in the ambitious Mahavatar Cinematic Universe has entered the 100 crores gross collection at the Indian box office, with the total collection expected to be around 110 crores at the end of the day. ## The movie kicked off its second weekend with 9+ crores gross, followed by a remarakble 100% growth on Saturday with 18+ crores gross. The Hindi version leads the charge with the estimated gross of around 80 crores in 10 days, followed by the Telugu with around 24-25 crores gross in as many days. ## The excellent growth over the second weekend has ensured that Mahavatar Narsimha will do very well during the weekdays. The new releases have failed to challenge the film much, which means it has almost a free run till August 14, when War 2 and Coolie will release. Whether the film can go on and touch 200 crores gross or fall short remains to be seen, but the chances are looking bright at the moment for the film to reach the milestone. ## Stay tuned...

Chennai, August 3 - The buzz surrounding superstar Rajinikanth's highly anticipated gangster action thriller Coolie is reaching a fever pitch as the film nears its grand release on August 14, 2025. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the trailer of Coolie was launched on August 2, featuring a vintage mass-action Rajini avatar. ## As the movie is only 11 days away from hitting the big screen, everyone wants to know when the advance booking will open in India. According to the latest update, the film's pre-sales will open on August 8 in Kerala state, as confirmed by regional distributor HM Associates. Given Rajinikanth’s massive fanbase in the state, exhibitors are preparing for packed shows and potential early sellouts. The rest of India pre-sales are also expected to open around this date. ## Meanwhile, the overseas bookings of Coolie are on a rampage mode, particularly in North America, where it has already crossed the impressive $1 million milestone for the premiere shows with 12 days still left. Mumbai, August 2 - Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films Mahavatar Narsimha is turning out to be a sensational blockbuster and box office phenomenon no one predicted before the release. The epic animated devotional action drama is heading towards 100 crores gross in India. ## The first film in the ambitious Mahavatar Cinematic Universe is rewriting history at the Indian box office. It had already become the highest-grossing animated movie in the opening weekend itself, and through the second Friday (8 days), it grossed around 62 crores in India, after taking the opening of just around 2 crores gross. ## Mahavatar Narsimha is expected to gross around 18 crores domestically on its 9th day, the second Saturday, after showing almost a 100% jump from Friday. This pushes the total domestic collection to around 80 crores gross in 9 days. With a big Sunday ahead, the movie is likely to enter the 100 crores gross club by tomorrow itself, which is a monstrous result. ## The Hindi version continues to lead the charge, contributing around 59 crore gross alone in 9 days. Despite being a non-mainstream genre in Indian cinema, Mahavatar Narsimha has received strong traction in both multiplexes and single screens, especially in northern circuits. Bengaluru, August 2 - The box office throws another surprise and brings a major milestone for Kannada cinema, which has had a poor year so far. Actor-producer Raj B. Shetty's comedy drama Su From So has surprised one and all by emerging as a box office blockbuster. ## Directed by J. P. Thuminad, Su From So was released on July 25, and despite the limited expectations, the movie has crossed 30 crores gross collection at the domestic box office and is heading towards the 50 crores mark. It is already the highest-grossing Kannada movie of the year, which also indicates how poorly Kannada films have fared this year. ## While the movie continues to march along, it has become the first original Kannada movie of the year and first since August 2023 to sell 1+ million tickets on the online ticketing platform Book My Show. There is an animated film, Mahavatar Narsimha, backed by Hombale Films, which has sold more than 2 million tickets, but it is a multilingual title. ## Produced by Shashidhar Shetty Baroda, Ravi Rai Kalasa and Raj B. Chennai, August 2 - The wait is over as superstar Rajinikanth is back in full form with the trailer of the much-awaited action thriller Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Released on August 2 during a grand event in Chennai, the trailer has taken social media by storm, showcasing vintage Rajini charm, gritty visuals, and a gold-smuggling plot wrapped in explosive action. ## A Smuggler's Saga With a Mass Makeover ## The stylish three-plus-minute-long trailer of the film shows the ensemble cast involved in an intense action drama, led by Rajinikanth and a surprise cameo of Aamir Khan.
