Kochi, March 22 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan has shattered many records even before the first show begins. The movie has been creating a sensation ever since the advance booking opened in India and worldwide and this has led it to create records. ## Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Empuraan pre-sales have crossed 10 crore gross in India for the opening day (including fan shows) while worldwide sales are nearing 30 crore gross. With this, it has become the biggest Malayalam opener of all time worldwide with pre-sales only. ## The previous biggest Mollywood opener was Mohanlal's Marakkar (20+ crores gross) and Empuraan is already 10 crores more with still 5 days left for the release. The booking trend indicates the film to open with 50+ crores gross worldwide which looked unthinkable before for a small film industry like Mollywood. ## Empuraan is sure to become the biggest Malayalam grosser of all time, by beating Manjummal Boys (241 crores gross). Mumbai, March 21 - Superstar Akshay Kumar reunites with Arshad Warsi for the third instalment of courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB after separately headlining the first two films. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 3 is easily one of the most anticipated Bollywood films of the year and the makers have finally locked the release date. ## Produced by Star Studios, Kangra Talkies, and Cape of Good Films, Jolly LLB 3 has been confirmed to hit the big screens on September 19, 2025. It was earlier supposed to be released in April this year but due to Akshay's Kesari 2 shifting in this month, Jolly LLB 3 has now been moved to September. ## The film pits Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi against each other inside the court, marking the first time when the duo is coming together in this 3-film franchise. Mumbai, March 21 - Vicky Kaushal-fronted historical action drama Chhaava is doing excellent business at the box office. Based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Chhaava is already the highest-grossing Indian film of the year with a worldwide collection of around 775 crores gross. ## Chhaava is currently running in its 6th week and nearing 800 crores gross collection. The movie will run in theatres for a minimum of 8 weeks before it is made available on OTT, however, even before the deadline, it has been hit by massive piracy and the investigation has begun for the same. ## According to the reports, Chhaava's HD prints have been leaked online and the Mumbai Police is said to have registered a case in this matter. The movie was deliberately leaked online through pirated sites on more than 1800 digital links. This isn't the first time a Bollywood film has leaked before its official digital release as there have been many such cases in the past. ## It is said that producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films anticipated this illegal activity and reportedly hired an anti-piracy agency to handle this matter legally. The South Cyber ​​Cell has reportedly registered a case under sections 316 (2) and 308 (3) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS), sections 51, 63 and 65 (A) of the Copyright Act, sections 43 and 66 of the Information Technology (IT) Act.## Chhaava is directed by Laxman Utekar and it stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb. Kochi, March 21 - The box office is breathing fire again, this time in the most uncharted territory (with huge potential) of Indian cinema with superstar Mohanlal's Malayalam blockbuster L2: Empuraan. There can't be a happier moment for the overall Indian film industry than seeing the rise of the Mollywood which has unanimously been applauded as the content factory. ## Over the last few years, Indian cinema has witnessed box office mayhem, mostly in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil film industries. But no one in their wildest of dreams had thought that a Malayalam Pan India film would top all other industries. Well, Empuraan has done that, at least, in terms of selling the highest number of tickets in an hour before release. ## The advance booking of Empuraan was opened at 9 AM on March 21 and by 10:30 AM, it had started selling tickets at 96K/hour which is a record for an Indian film before the official release. Interestingly, the booking hasn't opened much outside the home state, Kerala, and it is a matter of time before it touches the 100K/hour trend which is no less than a red letter moment for the content-rich Mollywood. ## Malayalam cinema hasn't produced many big-ticket entertainers in the past and this is the first time it has made a Pan India film of this scale. While the current bookings trend is limited to only the home state, it wouldn't be a surprise if the movie starts following the same in other parts of the country, especially since the first part of the movie, Lucifer (2019) has been widely watched on television across the country in dubbed versions. ## There have been many rich box office moments for Malayalam cinema over the last couple of years but none of them was of the scale of Empuraan which is re-writing history not for its own industry but for overall Indian cinema, and as said above, there can't be a happier moment for Indian film industry than this.## Empuraan is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also plays a key role in the film. Mumbai, March 20 - The sequel to Ajay Devgn's Raid is one of the most-anticipated Bollywood movies of the year and the makers are set to start a promotional campaign with the teaser a month before the film's release on May 1, 2025.## It was recently reported that the first teaser/trailer of Raid 2, directed byRaj Kumar Gupta, would be launched on Ajay Devgn's birthday on April 2 but as per the latest reports, it is likely a drop a few days earlier.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the Raid 2 teaser will drop digitally towards the end of this month and it will be attached to the prints of superstar Salman Khan's much-awaited Sikandar on the big screen. Kochi, March 20 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is re-writing history in its overseas pre-sales and is all set to start with a bang at the box office upon its worldwide release on March 27. ## The film is having a never-before-seen mass hysteria in the advance sales in the international market. With 6 days still left for the release, the opening day pre-sales of the film has crossed the 15 crore mark, which is already a record for a Malayalam title overseas. ## The worldwide bookings have crossed 12 crores gross, even without the regular bookings in the domestic market. Mumbai, March 19 - Superstar Salman Khan's much-awaited action drama Sikandar has officially been confirmed to hit the big screen on March 30, Sunday, also in IMAX. This is the back-to-back second movie of the Bollywood superstar to release on Sunday, after Tiger 3 in 2023.## The makers announced the release date of the movie on Wednesday, March 19 with a new poster featuring Salman. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar will debut in theaters a day before Eid which falls on March 31. Mumbai, March 19 - Superstar Akshay Kumar's aerial action thriller Sky Force was one of the first big Bollywood releases of the year. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the film was released on January 24 and did decently at the box office. ## Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Sky Force is hailed as one of the best Bollywood films of 2025 so far, so there is a demand for the movie on streaming platforms from OTT audiences. Amazon Prime Video has post-theatrical streaming rights to the movie and the streamer confirmed on Wednesday that it will start streaming on March 21. ## The movie will complete 8 weeks (56 days) of its theatrical run, a minimum window before the films are made available OTT. On Amazon Prime Video, it will stream in India and across 240 countries and territories globally from March 21. ## Sky Force is based on the real events. Mumbai, March 19 - Superstar Salman Khan is all set to set the box office on fire with his upcoming action drama film Sikandar. The movie is directed by AR Murugadoss and this marks his maiden collaboration with the Bollywood superstar. ## Sikandar is scheduled to be released on March 30, Sunday, and ahead of the release, director Murugadoss has revealed some details about it. The movie will be sent to the censor board in a couple of days but the filmmaker revealed the theatrical runtime of it in an interview with Pinkvilla.## The director confirmed that the Sikandar run time is about 2 hours and 20 minutes, which includes the first half of around 1 hour and 15 minutes and the second half is about 1 hour and 5 minutes. He further hyped it by calling it more than just a mass film. ## The trailer of the film will be launched on either March 22 or March 23 and director Murugadoss said that with the trailer, they want to satisfy the first-day audience before word of mouth takes it forward. Kochi, March 19 - The Malayalam film industry is set to unlock new box office benchmarks with the upcoming action thriller film Empuraan. Starring superstar Mohanlal in the lead role, the movie is scheduled to hit the big screens on March 27 in multiple languages. ## Empuraan is the first big Pan India film with the potential to score big outside the home market. The buzz for the movie is soaring with the release date getting nearer and the same can be seen in the pre-sales which is easily the best ever for a Mollywood title. ## The advance booking trend of Empuraan in the overseas market has been fantastic and as of writing this piece, the non-domestic pre-sales of the movie are around 6-7 crores gross. It is set to become the first Mollywood title to score $1+ million bookings and with 8 days still to go for release, the bookings will be higher. ## As said, Empuraan is guaranteed to score the record opening for a Malayalam film. Currently, Mohanlal's Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea is the biggest opener with around 20 crore gross worldwide, and Empuraan will beat this record by a very good margin. ## Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, Empuraan stars Mohanlal as Khureshi-Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, alongside an ensemble cast consisting of Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Sachin Khedekar, among others in key roles.
