Mumbai, March 10 - Warner Bros. Pictures has announced the re-release of Academy Award-winning film Dune: Part 2 in India. The Denis Villeneuve's directorial sci-fi epic won the Best Sound and the Best Visual Effects Oscars at the 97th Academy Awards held recently. ## On Monday (March 10), the studio took to social media to announce that Dune 2 will re-release in Indian cinemas on March 14, also in IMAX. It will be a limited release for only 7 days, just like the studio's recently re-release title, Interstellar.## Originally released in March 2024, Dune 2 did decently at the Indian box office with a gross collection of 36+ crores ($4.10+ million). It was still among the top Hollywood grossers of the year in the country. It needs to be seen if it can cross 50 crores mark after the re-release.## Meanwhile, there are reports that Warner Bros. will also bring Interstellar back to Indian cinemas on March 14. It was a success in its recent repeat run with over 20 crores gross collection but due to the limited run of 7 days, fans have been asking for another round. Chennai, March 10 - The hugely-anticipated action drama Jailer 2 starring superstar Rajinikanth has commenced filming today. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the movie was recently announced with a promo teaser, generating huge hype. ## Sequel to the mega-blockbuster Jailer (2023) - the shoot of Jailer 2 is said to have begun in Chennai. The first schedule is reportedly around 15 days and superstar Rajinikanth will join it soon. As the stakes are high and the hype is on the next level, the movie will be mounted on a scale and budget bigger than the first film. ## The makers haven't confirmed the remaining cast yet but it is said that most of the original cast will return to reprise their roles in the sequel. Anirudh Ravichandran is the music composer of the film and the fans are expecting him to re-create the magic of the first film in which his music played a massive role in making it a huge blockbuster.## Jailer 2 will have a proper pan-India release in multiple languages. Released in August 2023, Jailer emerged as one of the biggest Tamil blockbusters, with a worldwide gross collection of over 600 crores. Chennai, March 9 - Actor Pradeep Ranganathan's coming-of-age comedy-drama Dragon has become the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2025 at the domestic box office and is to become globally at the end of the third Sunday by beating Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi. ## Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, Dragon has topped 100 crores gross in India on its 16th day (3rd Saturday) and become the first Tamil title of the year to do so. It has surpassed the domestic gross total of Vidaamuyarchi (96 crores gross) to be the number 1 Tamil title of the year.## The domestic collection of 101.50+ crores gross of Dragon includes 68.50 crores gross in Tamil Nadu which is the second highest of the year after Vidaamuyarchi (78 crores gross). Additionally, Dragon has had a superb run in Telugu states so far, grossing approximately 19 crores, followed by around 10 crores in Karnataka, and 4+ crores gross in the rest of the domestic market.## Worldwide, Dragon has grossed approximately 132 crores, including around 30.50 crores at the overseas box office. The film will surpass Vidaamuyarchi's total worldwide collection of 136 crores at the end of the 17thd day to become the biggest Tamil grosser of the year, so far.## Pradeep Ranganathan - A Star in the Making?## The success of Dragon might be the birth of a star in the making, Pradeep Ranganathan. He started his career as a YouTuber, and when his time came, he rose to the occasion on the big stage called cinema. Apart from being an actor, Pradeep is also a writer and director, and he made his directorial debut with Comali (2019) which was a blockbuster.## Pradeep made his acting debut with Comali, but as a lead hero, he debuted with the 2022 romantic comedy, Love Today which emerged as a huge success with 83+ crores gross collection worldwide. And now, in his just second film, the actor has debuted in the 100 crores club, which is a huge achievement to claim. Los Angeles, March 9 - James Cameron's sci-fi epic Avatar: The Way of Water is among the longest films ever, with a theatrical runtime of 3 hours and 12 minutes. Well, the maverick filmmaker seems to be in no mood to make shorter films anymore, as his next is even longer. The third Avatar instalment - Avatar: Fire And Ash is set to be longer than The Way of Water, confirmed by the director himself. While the exact runtime is not revealed yet, Cameron revealed in an interview with Empire magazine that the next film will be a bit longer. The Avatar films are anyway longer than most of the Hollywood titles, as the first film of the franchise, released in 2009, was 2 hours and 58 minutes long and is the highest-grossing film in the history of the worldwide box office, while The Way of Water holds the record for the third biggest grosser ever. One can't expect less when it comes to Avatar movies, and unsurprisingly, the expectations are high from Fire And Ash, which debuts in cinemas worldwide later this year in December. Cameron has already hyped the movie by calling it better than the first two films, and it will be much higher in action. Mumbai, March 8 - Maddock Films' historical action drama Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal in the title role has entered the 500 crores net club at the Hindi box office, becoming the first film of 2025 and 8th of all time to do so. ## Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is running riot and has scored in double-digit collection on its 4th Saturday (23rd day) and with this, it topped 500 crores net. It is the fourth-fastest movie ever after Stree 2 (22 days), Jawan (18 days) and Pushpa 2 (11 days) to reach the milestone in Hindi.## Chhaava was released in the Telugu version on March 7, 3 weeks after the original release and in the first 2 days, the movie scored fantastic approximately 5.50+ crores net collection. The India net collection of the movie is around 508 crores, including 502+ crores in Hindi in 23 days. ## The movie has had a smooth run at the box office with no real competition. Going ahead, it will have the Holi festive advantage and despite the release of John Abraham's The Diplomat, it is expected to remain a strong force and will look to go past 550 crores net. ## Meanwhile, Chhaava is nearing 700 crores gross at the global box office. Mumbai, March 8 – Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next big cinematic venture, an action-packed thriller titled King. It has been one of the most anticipated Bollywood films and has gone through creative changes which have pushed the shoot back.## Originally to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film will now be helmed by Siddharth Anand who reunites with King Khan after the mega blockbuster Pathaan. There have been rumours that the shooting of King might be pushed to the second half of the year as Anand is re-working the script. But now, the director himself has cleared the air on the same.## According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Anand confirmed that King is scheduled to commence filming in May 2025 and about 30% of total filming will be completed in the first schedule only. The film, produced under Shah Rukh Khan's home banner Red Chillies Entertainment with Anand's Marflix, promises to be a grand spectacle, with a release planned for 2026. Fans are already buzzing with excitement as this marks another ambitious project for the King of Bollywood following his successful 2023 releases.## King will feature an impressive ensemble cast, including Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana Khan, the versatile Abhishek Bachchan and Munjya fame Abhay Varma in prominent roles. Mumbai, March 8 - The sequel to the period folk horror film Tumbbad is getting bigger, thanks to the success of the first film's re-release last year. After largely going unnoticed in the first phase, the movie turned the tide in its repeat run at the box office, raising the anticipation of its sequel. ## Produced and frontend by Sohum Shah, Tumbbad 2 has already been announced. According to the latest reports, a few production studios are showing interest in it and are willing to provide the budget the makers may not have imagined. ## It is said that Shah has secured a 100-crore budget from a leading studio to make the sequel of this cult classic. Interestingly, Tumbbad, which was originally released in 2018, struggled to get the finances and was made on a low budget but things are a lot different this time around. ## The story of Tumbbad 2 is said to have locked and the pre-production has already started. It will go on floors later this year for 2026 release in theatres worldwide. Director Rahi Anil Barve is expected to return to direct the sequel with Sohum Shah headlining it. ## Tumbbad, which follows the story of a person's search for a hidden 20th-century treasure in the Indian village of Tumbbad, Maharashtra, grossed over 52 crores at the worldwide box office, including around 38 crores gross domestically in its re-release run. Kochi, March 7 - One of the biggest Malayalam films ever, superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan is all set to hit the big screen on March 27 in multiple languages. The movie is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also plays a key role in it alongside a massive ensemble cast.## Meanwhile, the makers have completed censorship formalities and as per reports, Empuraan has been censored with a U/A certificate with an approved runtime of 3 hours by The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), as one of the longest Malayalam films of all time. ## The film has reportedly been passed with 8 cuts, including the violent scenes and dialogues. There is no other major cut has been made by the board and the makers are confident of the final output they have in their hands. Additionally, the trailer of the film has also been passed with a runtime of 3 minutes and 51 seconds. Touted as India's Mad Max, the film recently unveiled the first look teaser which has garnered huge buzz among the nationwide audience. ## Currently on floors, The Paradise has been announced for March 26, 2026, release in multiple Indian and international languages. Chennai, March 7 - Award-winning Tamil director Vetrimaaran's much-awaited film Vaadivaasal, starring Suriya, is finally set to begin shooting soon. The film was announced a few years ago, and a test shoot with Suriya was already conducted in 2023. However, the project faced delays due to the director's other films. ## In a recent interview, the director revealed that pre-production work has been done in London. Now, the music composer, G.V.
