Chennai, December 19 - Kamal Haasan-fronted vigilante action thriller Indian 2 was released earlier this year amid high expectations but it ended up as the biggest failure for director Shankar at the box office and critical front.## After the debacle box office performance of Indian 2, reports emerged that Indian 3 will skip theatrical release and will directly be an OTT release. However, during a recent interview, director Shankar discussed Indian 2 failure and also confirmed the upcoming movie will be a theatrical release. ## "I didn't expect such negative reviews for Indian 2. Well, I have moved on. I believe my work on Game Changer and Indian 3 will speak for itself. I'm sure both will be enjoyable theatrical experiences", Shankar said in an interview with Vikatan. ## The release date of Indian 3 is not locked yet and it is expected to hit the screens in the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, Shankar is gearing up for the release of his Pan India movie Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the leading roles. Los Angeles, December 19 - Marvel Studios has officially put the third instalment of Black Panther in development with producer Nate Moore returning. Marvel boss Kevin Feige has confirmed the development in an interview with Deadline. ## "Nate has been a core member of our team since 2010, and his influence will continue to reverberate in our storytelling. Although we'll miss him a great deal, we look forward to watching what he does next while also having the good fortune of working with him in a new way on our next Black Panther movie", Feige said. ## The production timeline of Black Panther 3 is not yet known. Ryan Coogler is expected to return to direct the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbuster while Denzel Washington confirmed that he would be playing the antagonist role in the film. ## The third film will follow on from 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – which itself is a sequel to Black Panther from 2018. Mumbai, December 19 - The sequel to Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's romantic comedy De De Pyaar De has officially been postponed and will be released on November 14, 2025. ## Directed by Anshul Sharma, De De Pyaar De 2 was supposed to hit the big screen on May 1st, 2025, a date which has now been taken by Devgn's crime thriller Raid 2. The new release date of DDPD2 is exactly a year after Raid 2's original release date of November 14, 2024. ## DDPD 2, produced by T-Series and Luv Films, will see Ajay Devgn reprise his role along with Rakul Preet Singh, who also returns to reprise his character from the first movie released in 2019. R. Madhavan is the new addition to the cast as he reunites with Ajay after this year's superhit Shaitaan. ## The sequel will chronicle comic events in the family of Rakul Preet Singh arising out of the relationship between Ashish (Ajay Devgn) and Ayesha (Rakul). Mumbai, December 18 - Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has become the highest-grossing Hindi net grosser and the first to clear 600 crores net collection in Hindi within two weeks since its release on December 5, becoming the biggest blockbuster. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 has surpassed the lifetime collection of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror comedy Stree 2 (598 crores net approx.) on its 14th day to become the number 1 movie of all time in Hindi. Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan is at the third palace with 582 crores net collection. ## Pushpa 2 has been on a record-breaking run since the opening day and so far, it has put up a sensational show at the box office. The movie is expected to finish its run with 750+ crores net with a possibility of going a step further to hit 800 crores, a record which will be a mountain to climb for future movies. ## Meanwhile, the mega-blockbuster movie is also nearing 1000 crores net collection in all versions. Hyderabad, December 18 - The makers of superstar Prabhas-fronted The Raja Saab have shared a statement on social media on the rumours regarding the film's teaser and shooting details. There have been rumours that the teaser would be released during the Christmas or New Year weekend which the makers have denied. ## The film is produced by People Media Factory which wrote on X, "#TheRajaSaab shooting is progressing rapidly with continuous day and night schedules. Mumbai, December 18 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is reuniting with director Vishal Bhardwaj for an action thriller film, not titled yet. The movie is to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the official announcement of the same was made on Wednesday, December 18. ## Announcing the film, the production house unveiled the entire main cast which includes Triptii Dimri as the female lead with Randeep Hooda and Nana Patekar in the prominent roles. Mumbai, December 18 - Rashmika Mandanna is on the signing spree and has locked another Bollywood film with Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. The actress already has Chhaava and Thama with the studio and their collaboration extended to one more film. ## Recently, it was reported that Maddock Films to scheduling the sequel to 2012's romantic comedy Cocktail with an entirely new cast. It was revealed that Shahid Kapoor has been signed on to headline Cocktail 2, taking over from Saif Ali Khan, who played the lead in the first film alongside Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. ## Now, according to the latest report, Rashmika Mandanna has been locked to play one of the female leads opposite Shahid in this love triangle sequel. This marks Shahid and Rashmika's first film together after the duo came close to sharing the screen in Anees Bazmee's, now-shelved, comedy entertainer. ## The second female lead of Cocktail is said to be Kriti Sanon who is a frequent collaborator with Maddock Films. Mumbai, December 17 - Director Atlee's next film with superstar Salman Khan has been the talk of the town ever since the news about the movie was revealed sometime back. It is the director's first film since the mega-blockbuster success of superstar Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan last year.## Tentatively called A6, the upcoming movie marks the maiden collaboration of Atlee with Salman and the director has planned bigger things for the same. Reports are that A6 would feature either superstar Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan with Salman Khan in the parallel lead and the director also hinted about the same. ## Speaking further about this mega project, Atlee said "It's going to be the proudest film of our country. The casting is on the edge and it’s going to happen in a few weeks. We will have the best best best announcement coming soon to you all".## Varun Dhawan also hyped A6 by stating, "It's going to be out of this world, people don't know what's going to hit them. I have heard and seen a little bit of visualization. It's unbelievable what he is putting together. Hyderabad, December 17 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was one of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023 and now, it has turned out to be a huge success on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar as well in the dubbed Hindi version. ## The Hindi version of Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, was acquired by Hotstar while the other versions streamed on Netflix. Since its digital release on February 16 this year, the Hindi version of the film has continuously been trending in the top 10 in India. ## It has been continuous more than 300 days for the movie in the top 10 on Hotstar, making it the first film ever to do so. While the viewership numbers are not provided, Salaar is easily the most-watched Indian title on Hotstar and this is building up the excitement for its sequel which is due to hit big screens in 2026. ## Salaar is produced by Hombale Films which will bankroll three more films, including Salaar 2, of Prabhas in the next few years. The success of Salaar's Hindi version, both at the box office and on streaming, gives the studio a chance to plan bigger things for the sequel just like KGF: Chapter 2, and the makers have promised the same. ## The film stars Prabhas in the titular role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, and Sriya Reddy in key roles. Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, where monarchy still exists, the film follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), the exiled prince of Khansaar, and Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), the current prince of Khansaar.
