Los Angeles, August 21 - Christopher Nolan's atom bomb movie "Oppenheimer" has become the 4th highest-grossing film of the director, surpassing "Interstellar" ($715 million) at the worldwide box office. Los Angeles, August 21 - DC Studios' latest superhero movie "Blue Beetle" has a lower opening than expected at the domestic (North America) box office. The movie, however, dethroned Margot Robbie's mega-blockbuster " Barbie" to claim the number 1 spot during the weekend of August 18-20.## "Blue Beetle" scored $25.4 million in its opening weekend, which is the second lowest opening in the modern DC era, ahead of just "Wonder Woman 1984" ($16.7 million) which had a debacle day and date release on HBO Max during the peak of covid-19 pandemic in December 2020.## Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, "Blue Beetle" was expected to project to score $30 million which would have still made it the lowest DC starter in 2023, behind "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" which grossed $30.1 million earlier this year.## At the international box office, "Blue Beetle" starring Xolo Maridueña as the alien symbiote, added $18 million from 63 markets. With $43 million globally, it's one of the softest starts in the history of the DC Cinematic Universe. Tampa, August 14, 2023 - Former WWE Champion Big E, who is still recovering from a serious neck injury that has sidelined him for over a year, remains active in a new movie role. The family comedy titled "F Plus (F+)" was announced recently, featuring Big E (Ettore Ewen) as part of the cast alongside former UFC two-division champion and action star Randy Couture. The screenplay was penned by Jonathan Davenport, a wrestling gear designer and a friend of Big E's. ## In the movie, Big E will portray the character Cliff Barker, though the specific details of his role are currently undisclosed. The film also includes comedian Tommy Davidson (known for "In Living Color") and Jennifer Esposito (recognized for her work in "Crush," "Blue Bloods," "NCIS," and "The Affair"). ## WWE Studios is not connected to this project. Mumbai, August 14 - Christopher Nolan's highest-grossing movie in India, "Oppenheimer" has a good third weekend at the Indian box office despite facing competition with a few of the Indian movies that are running riot. ## The Cillian Murphy-led atom bomb movie clocked approx. 6.50 crores in the fourth weekend, pushing the total gross collection to approx. 147 crores. It will finish over 150 crores gross thus emerging superhit at the Indian box office. It is also the highest-grossing Hollywood movie in India this year.## The biggest advantage "Oppenheimer" is having the IMAX screens on which it is performing exceptionally well. In its 4th weekend in India, the IMAX gross collection of the movie is approx. 3.50 crores while the total gross so far in this format is over 30 crores which is about 20% of the total collection.## "Oppenheimer" has so far grossed approx. $650 million (5390 crores) at the global box office through 4th Sunday. The movie is nearing the 100 crores net mark while it has already crossed this milestone in gross collection. ## "Oppenheimer" has been shot entirely in IMAX cameras and not so surprisingly, it is proving to be an IMAX wonder around the globe. In India, the movie has been exceptional as far as the IMAX format is concerned. On its second Monday, it is running with over 60% occupancy in IMAX, and the same response is expected for the next couple of weeks. ## In IMAX, "Oppenheimer" has crossed a huge 20 crores gross mark in just 11 days in India, the fastest movie ever to reach this mark. In the first week, it grossed 13.10 crores in IMAX while in the second week, the movie scored 7.50 crores gross (4 days) for a total of 20.60 crores gross in 11 days. It will reach 25 crores mark by the end of the second week and this will be almost 1/4 of its total collection.## Meanwhile, Tom Cruise's "Mission Impossible 7" was also released in IMAX and it grossed just 8.15 crores in 9 days before all the IMAX screens were shifted for "Oppenheimer".
