'Pushpa 2' Emerges Number 1 Film On Book My Show

Hyderabad, December 23 - Superstar Allu Arjun's mega box office blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has emerged as the number-one film in the history of the online ticketing portal, Book My Show in terms of tickets sold. ## In just 17 days, the action drama film has sold 18+ million (1.80+ crores) tickets, beating Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 which sold around 17.10+ million tickets during its lifetime run. SS Rajamouli and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 reportedly sold around 16 million tickets which is the third highest ever. ## Overall, Pushpa 2 has sold more than 50 million (5 crores) tickets in 17 days and has become the most-watched movie in India post the Covid-19 pandemic. KGF: Chapter 2 had also sold 50+ million tickets and these two are the only films to achieve the feat since the health crisis. ## Meanwhile, the film is set to cross 1500 crores gross at the worldwide box office in just 18 days and is already the third highest-grossing Indian movie after Baahubali 2 (1790 crores gross approx.) and Dangal (2070 crores gross approx.). Prashanth Neel Opens Up On 'Salaar - Ceasefire' Box Office Performance; Calls 'Salaar 2' His One of The Best Works

Bengaluru, December 22 - It has been a year since Prabhas-fronted action drama Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was released in theatres. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film was one of the highest-grossing Indian titles in 2023 with over 600 crores gross, however, the director expected. ## In a special interview with Kairam Vaashi on the occasion of Salaar's first anniversary, Prashanth Neel opened up about the film's box office performance. It is worth noting that it was Neel's first movie since the mega-blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 and his combination with Prabhas was expected to set the box office on fire. ## While Salaar emerged as a box office success, Neel expressed his disappointment and said that he was not completely happy with the performance as he expected more since a lot of hard work was put into it. However, the maverick filmmaker is super confident on Salaar 2 which is scheduled to hit the big screens in 2026. ## "I decided to make Salaar2 into one of my best movies. The writing I have put into the film has been probably one of my best works. I'm going to make it more than I can imagine and more than the audience can imagine. It is something that unquestionably will be one of my best works", Neel said. ## Meanwhile, Neel will next team up with superstar Jr. NTR for action drama, slated to go on floors early next year. 'Pushpa 2' Tops 5 Crore Footfalls In India

Hyderabad, December 21 - Mythri Movie Makers' action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has topped 5 crore footfalls at the Indian box office in 17 days, becoming the second movie after Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 to achieve the feat post the Covid-19 pandemic. ## The movie has been selling over 1 million tickets almost every day since its release on December 5. On its second Saturday (17th day), it has topped 50 million admissions in India and is set to beat KGF 2 which sold approximately 5.10 crore tickets in its lifetime run in all versions. ## The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has alone generated 3+ crores of footfalls, followed by the original Telugu version (1.50 crores) while Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have sold 50+ lakh tickets so far. Hyderabad, December 21 - Superstar Allu Arjun holds a press meeting to respond to the allegations made against him by the Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy in the Sandhya Theatre Stampede which occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2 - The Rule on December 4. ## On December 21, Reveanth Reddy made serious allegations against the actor and tried to character-assassinate him by calling his actions inhuman. Mr Reddy had alleged that even after the incident of the stampede happened, the actor didn't leave the theatre despite knowing about the death of a woman. ## The CM also said that even on the way back, Allu Arjun was waving his hands towards the crowd from the roof of the car. Telangana CM Puts Serious Allegations On Superstar Allu Arjun In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case

Hyderabad, December 21 - Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy fired heavy shots on superstar Allu Arjun in the recent Sandhya Theater Stampede case in which a woman died while her son got severely injured. The actor has been facing legal trial in the case and even was arrested a few days ago before getting interim bail by the High Court. ## The incident occurred on December 4 when Allu Arjun went to watch the premiere of his blockbuster film Pushpa 2 - The Rule in Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. Due to the heavy rush of his fans, the stampede happened which claimed a precious life. The incident was discussed in the Assembly on Saturday (December 21). ## During his speech, CM Reventh Reddy lambasted the actor and the film fraternity for their inhuman attitude towards the victims. Putting serious allegations on Allu Arjun, the CM said that the actor was denied permission to visit the theatre, and despite that, he watched the film amid a massive crowd. ## Mr Reddy also alleged that even after the incident of the stampede happened, the actor didn't leave the theatre until the DCP came and forcibly put him in the car and even warned him of immediate arrest knowing the seriousness of the case.## "Even on the way back", Reddy said that "He (Allu Arjun) was waving his hands towards the crowd from the roof of the car". The CM questioned the inhuman side of the actor as well as other film fraternity people as none of them responded to the death of the woman in Stampede. ## The CM further said what kind of message the film fraternity was giving when they went to meet Allu Arjun one by one after he came out of jail. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Joins 'Baahubali 2' To Top 1000 Crore Net Collection

Mumbai, December 21 - SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 starring Prabhas, finally has a company in the 1000 crores net club as Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule joined the lonely leader after more than 7 years. ## The closest to reach Baahubali 2 previously was Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 (860 crores net) and Pushpa 2 not only surpassed that but went on to join the former, taking just 16 days as the fastest film to achieve this rare box office milestone. ## Just like Baahubali 2, the contribution from the dubbed Hindi version has more than 50% in Pushpa 2's overall collection. In 16 days so far, the movie has minted approximately 630+ crores net collection in Hindi out of 1000+ crores net total. Hyderabad, December 20 - Dulquer Salmaan's period crime drama film Lucky Bashkar has extended its big box office success into the digital platform as the movie has turned out to be a jackpot for Netflix which is the official post-theatrical streaming partner of the film in all languages. ## The Venky Atluri's directorial was made available on Netflix on November 28, which is 4 weeks after the theatrical release. In its opening weekend, the movie generated 5.1 million views on Netflix which is one of the highest for an Indian title.## The movie witnessed an upward trend in the second week and scored 6.6 million views, followed by another 3.3 million views in the third week (December 9 - 15). After Box Office, Prabhas-Fronted 'Salaar: Ceasefire' Hindi Version Also Emerges Big Success On Digital Platform

Hyderabad, December 17 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was one of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023 and now, it has turned out to be a huge success on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar as well in the dubbed Hindi version. ## The Hindi version of Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, was acquired by Hotstar while the other versions streamed on Netflix. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Second Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, December 15 - Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule surpasses 500 crores net collection in Hindi after scoring a historic 125+ crores net second weekend at the Hindi box office. It is the first movie ever to score 100+ crores net in the second weekend in Hindi. ## Pushpa 2 on its second Sunday is looking to score in the range of 54-56 crores net, according to estimates. Mumbai, December 15 - Pushpa 2 has become the third highest-grossing Indian movie at the worldwide box office in just less than 11 days since its release on December 5. ## With the ongoing 11th day (2nd Sunday), Pushpa 2 - The Rule is expected to be around 1300 crores gross globally, surpassing the lifetime worldwide total of SS Rajamouli's epic RRR (1230 crores gross) and Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 (1215 crores gross) to become the third biggest Indian grosser. ## The Sukumar's directorial blockbuster is now behind Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (1790 crores gross) and Aamir Khan's Dangal (2070 crores gross) which are currently the biggest Indian titles. Pushpa 2 indicates long legs and it might pip BB2 in the long run to become the number 2 grosser which needs to be seen. ## At the Indian box office, Pushpa 2 also crosses 1000 crores gross on Sunday and becomes only the third movie after Baahubali 2 (1417 crores gross) and KGF: Chapter 2 (1000 crores gross). The total domestic gross collection of the movie is expected to be 1050+ crores after 11 days as the second biggest grosser.## Meanwhile, the action drama has also surpassed 500 crores net collection in the Hindi version on its second Sunday (11th day), becoming the 7th film ever and the fastest to do so. Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan was previously the fastest to hit 500 crores net, taking 18 days for the same. ## Pushpa 2 will surpass all but Jawan (582 crores net) and Stree 2 (598 crores net) at the end of its 11th day to become the third biggest Hindi grosser. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Second Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, December 14 - Pushpa 2 is creating a mass frenzy and hits the ball out of the park once again by scoring a monstrous second Saturday at the Hindi box office with a sensational jump of over 60% from the second Friday which itself was huge. ## According to early estimates, Pushpa 2 scored 45-47 crores net collection on its second Saturday (10th day) in Hindi, pushing the total collection to around 497+ crores net. It will enter the 500 crores net club by tomorrow morning and will become the fastest to do so. ## This is a never-before-seen trend at the box office, and it will be hard to replicate soon unless there comes a movie with a similar kind of mass appeal with favourable audience reception. Mumbai, December 14 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's maiden collaboration with the Pan India star Prabhas, Spirit is gearing up to commence filming early next year, and ahead of that, the makers are in the process of locking big names from Hindi film industry. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, director Sandeep Vanga is in talks with Mrunal Thakur for the female lead role opposite Prabhas. At the same time, the conversation is on with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who are a real-life couple, to play the negative roles in Spirit. ## "Spirit is one the most ambitious and awaited films of Indian Cinema, and the makers are going all out to have the best and most talented actors of world cinema on board. Mumbai, December 13 - Pushpa 2 starts the second weekend with a fantastic hold at the Hindi box office with the collection coming in more or less in the same range as yesterday, the second Thursday. In the first week, the movie minted around 425 crores net collection in Hindi.## According to the early estimates, Pushpa 2 has scored in the range of 26-27 crores on its second Friday/9th day in Hindi, pushing the total collection to over 450 crores net. The second weekend is probably heading for 100+ crores net with a drop of around 50% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend which is an excellent hold. ## As said, Pushpa 2 will enter the 500 crores net club by the second Sunday (11 days) and will become the fastest to achieve this feat, taking 7 fewer days than Jawan which is currently the fastest to do so in 18 days. Allu Arjun Sent For 14-Day Judicial Custody In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case

Hyderabad, December 13 - In a shocking turn of events, superstar Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in a case related to a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad where a woman died. This happened when the premiere of the actor's Pushpa 2 - The Rule was held and was attended by Allu Arjun and family on December 4. ## Now, according to the latest media reports, the bail of Allu Arjun has been rejected and sent to 14-dau judicial custody by a local court in Telangana in the case in which the deceased son was also injured and undergoing treatment. The actor has moved the Telangana High Court for urgent relief.## Earlier in the day, a police team, headed by the assistant commissioner, arrived at Arjun's home to take him into custody whilst his family members were present.
