Mumbai, July 20 - Yash Raj Films' Saiyaara goes on the overdrive on Sunday and once again surpassed expectations despite the overloaded first two days at the domestic box office. The film is clocking an average occupancy of over 70% with some areas even showing near 100% today. ## There was a capacity issue in the first two days, as the movie had a smaller release as compared to some of the top stars' movies this year, but that couldn't stop it from scoring another +40% jump on Sunday as it comfortably breached 30 crores net mark today. ## According to early estimates, the third-day collection of the movie is expected to be in the range of 35-37 crores net, with the opening weekend finishing at 81+ crores net. This is the biggest first weekend ever for an Indian romantic film, and with the debutante, the weekend is nothing short of sensational. ## There has been a huge demand for the tickets during the first weekend, where a capacity issue arose despite more and more shows getting added. Los Angeles, July 18 - Disney's science fiction comedy Lilo & Stitch has ended the wait for Hollywood to score its first $1 billion grosser of the year. Interestingly, the movie was originally planned for Disney+ streaming. ## The studio officially announced on Thursday that Lilo & Stitch has topped $1 billion at the worldwide box office through Wednesday (July 16), after grossing $416.2 million at the domestic (North America) and $584.8 million at the overseas box office, for the worldwide cume total of $1.001 billion. ## Among the biggest international markets for the movie, Mexico topped with $67 million, followed by the United Kingdom with $49 million, France with $42.4 million, Brazil with $37.4 million, and Germany with $32.5 million. ## Overall, Lilo and Stitch is the 57th movie ever to gross $1 billion and more at the global box office, including China's Ne Zha 2, which is the only non-Hollywood title in the list of billion-dollar grossers. Mumbai, July 18 - Yash Raj Films' romantic drama Saiyaara hits the big screen today after scoring the second biggest advance booking of the year for a Bollywood title, beating the big budget titles like Salman Khan's Sikandar and Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5. ## Directed by Mohit Suri and starring Ahaan Pandey and Aneeth Padda in their big screen debut, the pre-sales of Saiyaara have stunned one and all. ## Saiyaara Sold Second Best Advance Tickets For Bollywood In 2025 ## The film has sold approximately 195,000 tickets on its first day at the three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis), which is the second-highest of the year, behind Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava (225,000 tickets). Overall, Saiyaara has sold approximately 380,000 tickets nationwide for the opening day, which is again the second-best. ## In terms of advance booking gross collection, Saiyaara (9.40 crores) is the third among the 2025 Bollywood movies, behind Chhaava (13.80 crores) and Sikandar (10.10 crores). It is probably the biggest pre-sales ever for an Indian movie featuring newcomers. ## Saiyaara Eyes 25 Crore Net Opening Day Collection ## The box office projections for the movie have kept getting changed with each passing hour, and the reason being is the strong advance booking momentum. Before the bookings opened, the movie was projected to open in the range of 5-6 crores, but the projection quickly went up to double digits after the initial response. ## Considering how the advances have progressed, the film is now looking to open in the range of 20-25 crores net, with the strong possibility of opening around the higher end of the projection.
