Mumbai, June 6 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar-led comedy entertainer Housefull 5 hits the big screen today, June 6, amid huge anticipation. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, it is the costliest film of the franchise, and the expectations are huge from this at the box office. ## Housefull 5 scored one of the biggest advances of the year for a Bollywood title, with approximately 2.50 lakh tickets sold worth approximately 8 crore gross collection (without block seat) for the opening day. The pre-sales, however, are not as big as it was expected given the franchise value and huge star cast. ## Despite pre-sales falling short of expectations, Housefull 5 is eying the record opening in the franchise. In comparison to one of the recent films, Sikandar, the advance booking of HF5 is slightly behind, but it needs to be noted that the Salman Khan-starrer had a Sunday release. ## It has also been observed that the Housefull franchise is not usually an advance-heavy franchise and has relied on spot bookings, and this seems to be the case with the latest instalment. The urgency in booking tickets is much higher on the release day than on the previous days, which shows the strong response in spot booking. ## At this point, Housefull 5 is looking to score the biggest opening of the franchise, beating Housefull 4, which scored around 19 crore net. The pre-sales response suggests the opening in the range of 23-25 crores net, however, it might vary depending on how the day progresses in terms of walk-ins. ## Housefull 5 is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Mumbai, June 2 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has delivered again at the Indian box office as his latest blockbuster Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (M:I 8) has topped 100 crore gross collection, following the big success of the previous film of the franchise. ## Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the spy action thriller hit the milestone in 16 days as the total collection of the film stands at around 106 crore gross through the third Sunday (16 days). It now needs another 25 crore gross to top Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (131+ crore) to become the highest-grossing film of the franchise in India. ## The Final Reckoning is only the second movie of Tom Cruise to hit 100 crore gross in India. The movie, however, needs to score strongly in the coming days to surpass the previous film, which will not be easy as legs are weakening, and there will be competition with new releases. ## At the worldwide box office, Mission: Impossible 8 has crossed $350 million. It has grossed $353 million (3020 crore), including $231 million (1975 crore) at the overseas box office and $122.5 million (1045 crore) in North America. Mumbai, June 2 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's fantasy action comedy Khaleja has exceeded expectations in its opening weekend and has become the highest as well as the first double-digit Telugu re-release grosser at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Khaleja was re-released on May 30 amid the huge hype, and it scored the third biggest opening for a South Indian re-release film with approximately 6.75 crores gross. The movie scored good hold on the second day to earn around 2 crore gross, followed by around 1.50 crore gross on Sunday. ## Khaleja grossed approximately 10.25 crores in its opening weekend worldwide, including around 9 crores gross in India and 1.25 crores overseas. With this, it has become the first double-digit Telugu and third South India re-release grosser. ## The movie was re-released without any special occasion, and yet, it scored an excellent collection worldwide. Apart from being the first double-digit grosser, it also became the first Indian re-release title to gross $100K at the North American box office. ## The movie also stars Anushka Shetty as the female lead, alongside Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Shafi, Sunil, Ali, and Subbaraju in supporting roles. Los Angeles, May 31 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's fantasy action comedy Khaleja was re-released worldwide on May 30 and opened to an excellent collection all over. The movie created a huge buzz and scored one of the biggest pre-sales for an Indian re-release title. ## Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Khaleja has created a record at the North American box office, becoming the highest-grossing Indian re-release movie in just one day. Prathyangira Cinemas, which released the movie in North America, announced this major milestone on social media. ## The film grossed approximately $58K from premieres, and $36K on the opening day, taking the total collection to $94K. Mumbai, May 26 - Warner Bros. Pictures' supernatural horror thriller Final Destination Bloodlines has emerged as a success story and topped 50 crore gross at the Indian box office, becoming only the second Hollywood film of the year to do so. ## Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, the film has surprised the trade since day 1 with its superb collection. It grossed approximately 39 crores in the first 8-day week. It remained solid in the second weekend to gross around 12.50 crores, for around 51.50 crores gross ($6+ million) in 11 days in India. ## As said, it is the second-highest-grossing Hollywood movie of 2025, behind just Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, which has grossed around 85 crores in 9 days so far. Bloodlines, however, was less expected to perform well, but it has done really well to surpass expectations. ## At the worldwide box office, Final Destination has minted around $187 million, including $94.5 million in North America and $92.5 million at the overseas box office. Mumbai, May 26 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise takes Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning to new heights at the domestic and worldwide box office. The film has shattered the franchise record to emerge as the biggest opener. ## Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, The Final Reckoning flew to a franchise best domestically (North America), internationally and globally, with $63 million, $127 million, and $190 million, through Sunday. The worldwide debut is $204 million, which includes the US Monday holiday estimates. ## The Friday to Sunday domestic total of $63 million is the biggest for the MI franchise, beating Fallout's previous franchise 3-day weekend record of $61.2 million. Interestingly, The Final Reckoning is said to be the final movie of the franchise. ## The biggest contributor to the latest blockbuster outside the domestic market is Korea, where the movie has grossed $12.7 million so far. In India, MI8 has done very well and grossed around $10 million (85 crore) in 9 days as the 4th biggest overseas market for the movie. ## It will be interesting to see whether Final Reckoning can beat the lifetime gross of 131 crores of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, which is also the highest-grossing movie of Tom Cruise in India. Mumbai, May 23 - One of the biggest Indian films of the year, War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR has sparked massive excitement among the fans and trade after the first look teaser, which was launched on May 20 on the occasion of Jr. NTR's birthday. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Yash Raj Films has received offers in the range of 100 crores for the Telugu states. It has got Non-Refundable Advance (NRA) aka. MG offers from distributors like Mythri Movie Makers, Sri Venkateshwara Creations, Sithara Entertainment, and Asian Cinema, among other independent buyers. ## The studio has received the biggest offer from Asian Cinemas, which has made a staggering offer of Rs 100 crore for the Telugu states for the Hindi and Telugu dubbed version. Sithara Entertainment, on the other hand, has made an 80 crore deal. ## These are the biggest offers for a dubbed film in Telugu. The report also states that apart from Telugu states, the demand for the movie is also there in Karnataka, as heavyweights like KVN Productions and Hombale Films are expressing strong interest in releasing the movie in the state. ## The presence of superstar Jr. NTR, who makes his Bollywood debut with this film, is leading to huge interest for the movie in Telugu states, and the popularity of Hrithik Roshan is an added advantage in Southern states. ## The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Yash Raj Films.
