Mumbai, January 19 - Maverick filmmaker Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic Interstellar is gearing up for the re-release in Indian cinemas on February 7. Having already been successfully re-released in the US market, the same level of craze is being seen among the Indian audience. ## There has been demand for the film for some time now but to know how genuine it was could come with the response at the ticket window. Well, it seems the hype for the film is real as the pre-sales response ahead of its release is extraordinary. ## Starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, Interstellar's advance sales opened a couple of days ago in IMAX along with the regular format, and as expected, it is selling tickets like hotcakes. With 18 days still to go for the re-launch, the pre-sales of the film are nearing 75K and fast approaching 100K for the opening weekend. ## Seeing the craze for the film, it is certain that the booking trend will remain strong till the release. It will be released on all IMAX screens which are being sold out rapidly. Hyderabad, January 19 - Telugu veteran Nandamuri Balakrishna's action drama Daaku Maharaaj has completed its full first week at the worldwide box office. After the superb opening, the movie remained steady throughout the week and surpassed 100 crores gross. ## Directed by Bobby, Daaku Maharaaj has grossed approximately 89 crores domestically and around 16 crores at the overseas box office for a global cume of 105 crores in 7 days. This marks NBK's 4th 100 crores worldwide grosser, all of which have come consecutively.## The film received a mostly positive reception but its full potential has been cut short by the sensational performance of Venkatesh Daggubati's action comedy Sankranthiki Vasthunam which is running riot at the box office, already grossing over 125 crores worldwide in just 5 days. ## Daaku Maharaj, meanwhile, has emerged as a success story, keeping up with Balakrishna's perfect 100% success ratio post the Covid-19 pandemic. Hyderabad, January 18 - Staying true to its title, Venkatesh Daggubati's action comedy Sankranthiki Vasthunam has emerged as a Sankranthi winner, heading towards becoming a big blockbuster at the worldwide box office. Anil Ravipudi directs the movie which marks his reunion with Venky after F2 and F3.## Released on the day of Sankranthi (January 14), the movie faced competition from Ram Charan's Game Changer and Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaaj. However, both the other movies stood no chance in the front of box office carnage of Sankranthiki Vasthunam which emerged as the number 1 choice of the moviegoers from day 1. ## The movie scored approximately 27 crore gross in India and around 35 crores worldwide upon its Tuesday opening day, making it the biggest opener of Venkatesh. Thanks to the positive word of mouth, it showed a remarkable hold in the following days and in just 4 days, the film crossed 100 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Sankranthiki Vasthunam has grossed approximately 105 crores worldwide, including approximately 90 crores gross in India and 15 crores at the overseas box office. It has already become the second highest-grossing Indian movie of 2025, behind only the Pan India movie Game Changer which has minted around 175 crores in 8 days. ## Produced by Dil Raju who also bankrolled the Ram Charan-starrer, Sankranthiki Vasthunam will remain the number 1 movie throughout the weekend and beyond. Mumbai, January 13 - Telugu veteran Nandamuri Balakrishna's action drama Daaku Maharaaj exceeded expectations on its first to score over 30 crores gross at the domestic box office, proving to be the second biggest opener for the actor. ## On the second day, the film is seeing a good hold as early estimates suggest the collection in the range of 13-15 crores gross in Telugu states, dropping around 50% from Sunday. Overall, Daaku Maharaj is expected to score 15-17 crores gross collection on Monday. ## Daaku Maharaj's total domestic collection after 2 days is around 45+ crores gross, which is fantastic ahead of the long holiday Pongal period. The movie is likely to storm the box office over the next couple of days and will look to go past the 100 crores gross mark during this period. ## On the other hand, superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer has plummeted further on Monday as India gross is expected to be in the range of 10 crores gross, as per estimates. In Telugu states, it is likely to earn 6-7 crores gross on its 4th day. ## The Hindi version of the film, which did decently in the first weekend, witnessed a big drop on Monday to score around 1.50-1.75 crores net collection. The movie has been disappointing so far with poor trends at the box office, and to cover the lost ground, it has the next couple of days of the Pongal/Sankranthi holidays. Los Angeles, January 13 - Marvel Studios's first blockbuster of the year, Captain America: Brave New World is gearing up for the big screen debut in February. This marks Anthony Mackie's first full-fledged Captain America film in the title role after Chris Evans retired from this duty. ## Directed by Julius Onah, the film hits the screens in less than five weeks, and the first box office projection revealed it is heading for an opening close to 2014's Captain America: Winter Soldier which opened to $95 million over Friday to Sunday weekend at the domestic (North America) box office. ## According to Deadline, The Brave New World, which is a reset of the franchise, is expected to do $86 million to $95 million over the 3-day Valentine's Day Day weekend and $100+ million over Friday to Monday over Presidents' Day weekend domestically. ## There is every possibility of bigger weekend totals for the film as Deadline reports that on the tracking service Quorum, Captain America: Brave New World has the most awareness of movies opening in February 2025 and those debuting in the same weekend. ## Marvel Studios rules the 4-day Presidents' Day weekend openers domestically with the top three with 2018's Black Panther ($242.1 million), Deadpool ($152.1 million) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ($120.3 million). Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania posted a 3-day of $106.1 million, Deadpool's was $132.4 million, while Black Panther's was $202 million.## It is intended to be the fourth instalment in the Captain America film series, a continuation of the television miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), and the 35th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Hyderabad, January 12 - Telugu veteran Nandamuri Balakrishna's action drama Daaku Maharaaj is off to a flying start at the domestic box office. The film records the second biggest opening for the actor who is expected to complete the hat-trick of successes with the latest one. ## Directed by Bobby Kolli, Daaku Maharaaj started on a fantastic note in the morning shows, and thanks to the initial positive reception, the occupancies kept increasing throughout the day. The movie already had a positive buzz which led to good pre-sales before the fantastic opening. ## According to the early estimates, Daaku Maharaj is expected to gross 21-23+ crores on its first day in Telugu states, making it the second biggest start for NBK on the home turf. The overall first-day collection is expected to be in the range of 25-27 crores gross which is excellent. ## The initial word of mouth, as said, is positive and in all likelihood, it will remain the number 1 choice of moviegoers during the Sankranti weekend.
