Hyderabad, November 27 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pan India action drama film Pushpa 2 - The Rule is all set to have a very good start at the overseas box office, thanks to the superb response in the pre-sales which has crossed $2 million for the opening day, including premieres. ## In North America, the opening day pre-sales are $1.80+ million, including $1.6+ million for the premiere alone. The total advance booking gross (for all days) in NA has crossed $2 million which is said to be the fastest for an Indian title with a week still to go for the release. ## Apart from North America, Pushpa 2 has scored $230K+ advance sales in the UK for the opening day while Gulf booking is around $80K+ and Australia and other market sales are $215K+ so far. The total overseas pre-sales for the film are around $2.30+ million (19.50 crores) for the first day. ## The trade is expecting 50+ crores opening for Pushpa 2 which will be the biggest for a Allu Arjun-starrer. Los Angeles, November 26—Last year, the Barbenheimer (Barbie and Oppenheimer) phenomenon stormed the box office from its record-breaking start to its historic finish. Both movies collectively grossed over $2.4 billion worldwide and were two of the year's highest-grossing films, with Barbie finishing at the top with $1.44 billion. ## More than a year later, another box office clash called Glicked (Gladiator II and Wicked) is making waves. It is not exactly as big as Barbenheimer but powerful enough to keep the trade excited going forward where Wicked is behaving like Barbie while Gladiator II can be the Oppenheimer. ## The Ridley Scott's directorial R-rated epic historical action drama, Gladiator 2 has already surpassed $200 million globally after debuting internationally on November 13. Through Sunday (November 24), G2 has made $165.5 million at the overseas box office while it debuted domestically (North America) on November 22 and grossed $55 million in the opening weekend for a worldwide cume of $220 million. ## Wicked, which is a musical fantasy film starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, had a strong debut domestically with a huge $112.5 million opening weekend. Chennai, November 25 - Tamil star Suriya's most ambitious film Kanguva has crossed 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office. While this could have been a major milestone of any other film of Suriya, the same is not with Kanguva which is facing outright rejection from audiences after a promising yet underwhelming start. ## Directed by Siva, Kanguva was a film keenly awaited by audiences and was seen as a potential big blockbuster at the box office. But all the hype around the film faded immediately after it got a disastrous reception from the moviegoers and critics upon release and there was no relief since then. ## The film crossed 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office on its 10th day. Domestically, Kanguva has grossed approximately 78 crores, including around 32 crores gross in Tamil Nadu. Overseas, the movie has minted an estimated approximately 23 crore gross for 101 crores worldwide gross in 10 days. ## As said, Kanguva's performance at the box office has been a shocker and it is nowhere near the tall claims made by the makers before the release. Mumbai, November 25 - Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta-starrer two-decade-old romantic comedy Kal Ho Naa Ho continued to impress in its re-release run at the box office amid the few other choices available. ## Directed by Nikhil Advani, the movie was re-released on November 15 and scored approximately 2.40 crores gross collection in the first week. It remained the number 1 choice in the second weekend among the re-release titles and grossed solid around 1.30 crores. ## After 10 days, the total re-release collection of KHNH is around 3.70 crores gross (3.15 crores net), making it already one of the biggest Bollywood re-release grossers of the year. It comfortably beat Karan Arjun and Pushpa - The Rise which got re-released this past weekend and minuted around 1 crore and 70 lakh gross, respectively in the opening weekend. ## With new releases slowing down, KHNH should run steadily until December 5, when the highly anticipated Pushpa 2—The Rule will be released. Mumbai, November 24 - There were a couple of re-releases this weekend at the Hindi box office in the form of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan-fronted cult classic Karan Arjun and Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa - The Rise of which the sequel is gearing up for December 5 release worldwide. ## Karan Arjun, directed by Rakesh Roshan, had a wide re-release with over 2000 shows scheduled daily during the opening weekend. However, the movie couldn't replicate the success of the recent Bollywood re-releases and ended with the opening of around 1 crore gross collection. ## There wasn't much movement in the collection after the opening day of around 30 lakh gross as Saturday figures were almost similar to Friday and on Sunday, the movie is expected to gross around 40 lakh. With a not-so-encouraging opening weekend after a wide re-release, Karan Arjun is unlikely to have much impact during the weekdays. ## Allu Arjun's Pushpa - The Rise also had a wide re-release this weekend in Hindi and managed to gross around 70 lakh in the opening weekend. There wasn't much awareness about the re-release of the film among the audiences so whatever it has earned is a bonus. ## The Sukumar's directorial, which was originally released in 2021, grossed around 20 lakh on its first day of re-release, followed by 25 lakh each on Saturday and Sunday. Mumbai, November 23 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's two cult classics, romantic comedy Kal Ho Naa Ho and reincarnation action drama Karan Arjun which also has superstar Salman Khan, got re-released recently but there seems to be not much interest for the letter. ## Karan Arjun (1995), directed by Rakesh Roshan, got one of the widest re-releases for a Bollywood movie, however, the anticipation seems isn't that much the makers hoped for as it is not getting much audience in theatres. ## The film grossed approximately 30 lakh on its opening day which is, even though among the top openings for a Bollywood re-release, is nowhere near the expected start considering the wide release. It is not showing much improvement on Saturday with collection expected to be in the same range as Friday. ## Meanwhile, Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), which was re-launched on November 15, looks like will be winning the re-release race against Karan Arjun despite a much smaller release. After grossing approximately 2.40 crores in the first week, the film started the second weekend with around 20 lakh gross collection on the second Friday (8th day). ## The Nikkhil Advani's directorial has taken a lead over Karan Arjun on Saturday as it is expected to gross over 50 lakh. Mumbai, November 22 - One of the Bollywood classics from Yash Raj Films, Kal Ho Naa Ho starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta, continues to spread magic even after more than 2 decades later.## Directed by Nikhil Advani, the romantic comedy was re-released on November 15, continuing the trend Bollywood has successfully followed throughout this year. The film opened around 12 lakh gross collection from a little over 100 shows before the shows increased from the second day onwards.## Footfalls significantly increased after more shows were added as the movie grossed approximately 90 lakh in the first weekend. Tokyo, November 21 - Aamir Khan's production Laapataa Ladies, which is also India's official Oscar 2025 entry, has beaten the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Ceasefire at the Japanese box office. ## Directed by Kiran Rao, the rural comedy-drama has minted over ¥50 million (2.75+ crore gross) in 45 days so far. Pathaan had grossed approximately 50 million yen while Salaar: Ceasefire earned approximately 46 million yen. Both the films were 2 of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023. ## The total worldwide collection of Laapataa Ladies is approximately 31 crores gross, including 25 crores gross at the Indian box office. The movie was a decent success in India. It is expected to have a good run at the Japanese box office. ## As said, Laapata Ladies is the 14th highest-grossing Indian movie in Japan. In the long run, it might beat Baahubali (¥75 million) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (¥80 million).
