Hyderabad, September 2 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's blockbuster film Gabbar Singh is all set to create a record for a re-release movie at the box office. The movie was released on the occasion of the PK's birthday today. ## Directed by Harish Shankar, the action drama film has had a sensational pre-booking at the worldwide box office. In India, the booking for the movie was over 4 crores for the opening day+premiere shows while worldwide sales were over 5 crores gross. ## The movie had pre-shows on the evening of PK's birthday on September 1 on which it grossed a fantastic approximately 65 lakh. Day one of the movie started on a sensational note and the advance for the remaining shows is out of the world at the domestic box office. ## Gabbar Singh will easily score the biggest opening for an Indian re-release title and is looking to score 6-7 crores gross on opening day. Mumbai, September 2 - The re-release factor has been working well at the box office for the classic Bollywood hits for the last few months. After Rockstar and Laila Majnu, it's now turn for R. Madhavan, Dia Mirza, and Saif Ali Khan-led love story Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein which is turning out to be a success story at the box office. ## Directed by Gautham Menon, RHTDM was re-released on August 30 and did well at the box office, grossing approximately 1.20 crore (1 crore net) in its opening weekend. It scored approximately 20 lakh gross on its first day (Friday), before jumping by over 100% for approx. 45 lakh on Saturday and another 60 lakh gross on Sunday.## It now needs to see how the fair during the weekdays, which will determine how far it will go at the box office. The last couple of Bollywood re-releases did well beyond opening weekends and since RHTDM has been a popular film over the years on television, there is a chance it will repeat the success of those movies to reach a respectable total. ## RHTDM, which is a remake of the popular Tamil film Minnell, was originally released in 2001 and did decently at the box office with a worldwide gross collection of over 10 crores. Mumbai, September 1 - Maddock Films' horror-comedy Stree 2 is a one-horse race at the box office with no competition at all. The movie continues to be the first choice of moviegoers which leads to explosive third weekend collection domestically. ##' The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rai-fronted blockbuster scored a sensational 47 crores net collection in its third weekend after an estimated 21-22 crores net on Sunday. With this, it has scored the biggest third weekend ever in Hindi, beating Baahubali 2's approximately 42.50 crores net.## Stree 2's total India net collection is around 480 crores after 18 days and it will be breaking into the magical box office club of 500 crores net by the end of this week. It will be the first Bollywood movie of 2024 to enter the 500-crore club. ## As said, Stree 2 is chasing history at the box office. The movie is on track to beat Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (582 crores net) to become the biggest Hindi grosser ever domestically. Hyderabad, August 31 - Natural star Nani's action thriller Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is heading towards emerging as a box-office success after a good first three days. It comes as a needed breather for the Telugu film industry after the disastrous Independence Day week releases.## Directed by Vivek Athreya, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram had a good first 2 days with a worldwide box collection of approximately 28.50 crores gross, including approximately 17.50 crores domestically. The movie is having a very good first Saturday (3rd day), expected to be around 10 crore gross domestically.## The movie is heading towards 43+ crores worldwide gross after the 3rd day, and this is one of the biggest opening weekends for a Telugu title of 2024. Interestingly, it has outgrossed the combined total of Independence Day Telugu releases, Double iSmart and Mr. Bachchan. ## The Ram Pothineni-fronted Double iSmart has grossed only 20 crores so far while Ravi Teja's Mr. Bachchan has made only 14 crores worldwide. Both films have almost completed their run at the box office with a disastrous combined total of 34 crores which has been outgrossed by Nani-starrer in just 3 days. ## Saripodhaa Sanivaaram needs to score a gross collection of around 70 crores at the worldwide box office to emerge as a hit. Los Angeles, August 31 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR returns to the big screens after more than 2 years with the upcoming action drama Devara: Part 1. Mumbai, August 29 - Director Om Raut has finally opened up on Adipurush, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas. It was one of the most-hyped Indian movies in recent times but ended up as a major disappointment on every front.## The movie got trolled for the cringe characterization of the figures of the epic Ramayana and was largely a box office misfire despite the huge initial collections that were pulled through the factor of Ramayana and Prabhas' mega-stardom.## Made on a massive budget of 500 crores, Adipurush grossed around 400 crores at the worldwide box office and was termed a big flop, especially in the Telugu version. However, unlike the public opinion on the film's box office numbers, Om Raut seems to be happy with its performance. ## During a recent interview with a Marathi media, Om Raut called out the trollers and said that they don't need to bother too much about this faceless army on social media. He went on to say, "At the end of the day, what matters for the movie is the box office. And, Adipurush did very well at the box office". The filmmaker also said that superstars like Prabhas and Salman Khan as 'flop-proof' stars who can pull off any film. ## Adipurush is based on the epic Ramayana where Prabhas played the role of Lord Rama alongside Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan. Mumbai, August 29 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 has crossed the 500 crores gross collection at the Indian box office, becoming the 12th movie ever and only the second of the year to achieve the milestone. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror-comedy surpassed the 500 crores gross collection in India on its 14th day, becoming one of the fastest to hit the milestone. It is the first Bollywood movie since Ranbir Kapoor's Animal in December 2023, and 6th overall to reach this magical figure. ## As said, Stree 2 is the first film of the entire main cast and crew, including Shraddha and Rajkummar as well as the director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films to enter the 500 crores gross club in India. ## Check out the full list of the 500 crores grossers at the Indian box office -## 1. Chennai, August 28 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time is all set to take a very good opening at the overseas box office. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the movie is scheduled to be released on September 5, with premieres taking place on September 4th.## The overseas pre-sales of The GOAT have crossed $1 million for the opening day, including premieres. In the USA, the premiere advance sales of the movie are around $300K with 7 days still left. The trade is expecting a $5+ million overseas opening of the film. The total pre-sales for the opening day is $1.2+ million (10+ crores). ## Thalapathy Vijay's film generally takes a strong start at the box office, be it domestic or overseas. His last movie, Leo stormed the box office with approximately 143 crores worldwide opening which is the biggest ever for a Tamil movie. Directed by Vivek Athreya, the film managed to generate a good buzz, thanks to the teaser/trailer and other promotional activities.## Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is easily one of the most-anticipated tier 2 Telugu hero movies and this led to very good worldwide theatrical business for the film.
