Mumbai, August 27 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-Fronted horror-comedy Stree 2 is heading towards the 500 crores net club which will make it only the 6th movie ever to do so in Hindi. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, is by far the biggest Indian blockbuster of the year and one of the biggest of all time. ## Stree 2 was released on August 15, the same week Sunny Deol-fronted Gadar 2 debuted on the big screen last year (August 11). Just like the latest blockbuster, the Gadar sequel also turned out one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever by earning over 500 crores in net collection and close to 700 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Interestingly, there isn't much difference between the domestic collection of Stree 2 and Gadar 2 in the first 12 days with the Shraddha Kapoor-starrer having a slight edge. Mumbai, August 27 - Maddock Films and Jio Studios' horror-comedy Stree 2 has become only the second Indian movie of 2024 to sell over 2 crores tickets at the Indian box office, after Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. ## The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted blockbuster sold nearly 1 million tickets on its 12th day, second Monday (Krishna Janmashtami), for total footfalls of approximately 2.06 crores (20.06 million) in 12 days so far, behind just Kalki 2898 AD which has sold 3.63 crores of tickets. ## Notably, Stree 2 has sold 20+ million tickets in just a single language while Kalki is a multi-lingual movie. In Hindi, the Prabhas-starrer blockbuster sold approximately 1.56 crores of tickets in India which is the second highest of the year. Hrithik Roshan's Fighter is at three with 1.17 crores footfalls in Hindi.## At the box office, Stree 2 is nearing 500 crores gross collection in India. Mumbai, August 26 - After the all-time biggest second-weekend collection in Hindi, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 scores a good hold on its second Monday, which is a partial holiday on the account of Krishna Janmashtami.## The day-wise box office trend of Stree 2 has been heavily frontloaded so far, and the momentum continued on its 12th day (second Monday) though the drop is harsher than expected by around 60% for an estimated 17-18 crores net collection. ## The second Monday collection of Stree 2, however, is big enough to take the total to past 400 crores net at around 401+ crores, making it the first Hindi film of 2024 to do so. The full second week of the film is heading for around 135 crores net which is huge. ## The horror-comedy blockbuster is expected to enter the 500 crores net club during the third week, and then, it will chase Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (582 crores Hindi net) in its pursuit to become the biggest Hindi net grosser of all time.## As said, Stree 2 has an open run till September 6, and even after that, it is expected to remain a strong force at the box office which makes it a serious contender to beat Jawan. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, August 26 - Bollywood has its first mega-blockbuster of 2024 as horror-comedy Stree 2 has surpassed 500 crores gross at the worldwide box office, doing this in just 11 days since its release on August 15. ## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the leading roles, Stree 2 has become the first Bollywood and the second Indian film of 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD to top 500 crores worldwide. Overall, it is the 14th Bollywood and 23rd Indian movie to achieve this milestone. ## The blockbuster sequel has grossed approximately 460 crores at the Indian box office and an estimated 90 crores overseas, for a worldwide cume of approximately 540 crores in 11 days. This makes it the 23rd highest-grossing Indian and 14th Bollywood film at the worldwide box office. ## Stree 2 will cross Dhoom 3 (558 crores gross) and Tiger Zinda Hai (558 crores gross) with its second Monday's (12th day) collection to become the 21st biggest Indian grosser of all time. Mumbai, August 25 - Mega blockbuster Stree 2 has a historic second weekend at the domestic box office with well over 90 crores net collection, making it the biggest 2nd weekend ever in Hindi beating Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.## After the excellent opening weekend, followed by the week, the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy exploded again in its second frame. Acceptance among all age groups and the lack of major competition are making sure Stree 2 remain one of the best-performing films in recent times. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, the blockbuster film scored the biggest second Saturday by edging past Animal and repeating the feat, Stree 2 has scored the biggest second Sunday with a very good margin by topping Gadar 2 as early estimates suggest 43-45 crores net on its 11th day. ## The second weekend of Stree 2 is 93+ crores net which is the biggest ever in Hindi, ahead of Gadar 2 which scored approximately 91 crores net last year during the same time. Mumbai, August 24 - Humongous blockbuster Stree 2 hits the ball out of the park once again to score one of the biggest second Saturdays at the Hindi box office. Depending on how late-night shows go, the movie has a shot at scoring the biggest second Saturday ever in Hindi. ## The lack of competition and the universal acceptance of the movie, Stree 2 exploded today with a jump of nearing 100% which is truly out of the world as day-wise trending has been heavily frontloaded so far. According to early estimates, the horror-comedy scored in the range of 31-33 crores net on its 10th day.## The second Saturday (10th day) collection of Stree 2 is on par or slightly over the film's second-day collection of approx. 31.50 crores net. Mumbai, August 24 - Maddock Films and Jio Studios' horror-comedy Stree 2 has outgrossed Pan India movie Saaho to become the highest-grossing film of actress Shraddha Kapoor at the worldwide box office. It took just 10 days to achieve the milestone.## Saaho, starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor in the leading roles, grossed approximately 451 crores at the worldwide box office, and now, Stree 2 has beaten this figure as I type this. It grossed approximately 441 crores in the first 9 days and today (10th day), Stree 2 is expected to gross 40+ crores worldwide which will take its total collection to 480+ crores.## Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 had already become the highest-grossing movie of Maddock Films along with director Kaushik and actor Rajkummar Rao. Mumbai, August 23 - Stree 2 has surpassed 300 crores net at the Indian box office after the sensational hold on its second Friday with collection more or less the same as yesterday. It has become the first film of 2024 to top 300 crores net in Hindi.## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, Stree 2 scored the opening week of over 291 crores net which is the 4th biggest ever in Hindi. Since there is no real competition to the movie at the moment, it is now a one-horse race and begins the second weekend with an estimated collection of around 16.50+ crores net.## The total collection of Stree 2 is around 308 crores net in 9 days, surpassing Kalki 2898 AD's 293+ crores net to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year. With no competition, the movie can go to 75+ crores net collection in the second weekend. ## Stree 2 will surpass 400 crores net, mostly by the second Tuesday, but at this point, the film's real target is to enter the 500 crores net club which is looking very much achievable since there is no other movie which can dent its chances for, at least, two weeks.## Stay tuned...

Hyderabad, August 23 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's all-time blockbuster movie Indra (2002) was re-released in theatres on August 22, on the occasion of his 69th birthday and as expected, the action drama scored a very good opening at the domestic and worldwide box office.## Directed by B. Gopal, Indra grossed approximately 1.85 crores in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) on its first day and this is one of the biggest openings for Telugu re-release titles in recent times. Additionally, the movie grossed approximately 40 lakh in the rest of Indian markets, for a domestic opening of 2.25 crores gross.## Overseas, Indra scored a fantastic collection, especially in the USA where it grossed an estimated 50 lakh while the total overseas opening day collection is approximately 75 lakh for around 3 crores gross worldwide start which is excellent for a re-release title.## Originally released in 2002, Indra stormed the box office back then and went on to become the highest-grossing Telugu movie in history at the time as well as the all-time highest-grossing South-Indian film with a worldwide collection of over 50 crores gross.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, August 23 - Bollywood breakout of the year, horror-comedy Stree 2 from Maddock Films and Jio Studios has had an epic first week at the domestic box office with 291+ crores net collection, which is the biggest of the 2024 for a Bollywood as well as Hindi title.## The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted blockbuster surpassed Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 but fell short of Ranbir Kapoor-fronted Animal to score the 4th biggest first-week collection of all-time in Hindi. Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan remains the biggest first-week grosser, followed by his Jawan at the second spot.## The box office juggernaut of Stree 2 began with the all-time record previews for an Indian movie with 8.50 crores net collection, followed by the biggest Independence opening day (excluding previews) of 51.80 crores net.
