Bengaluru, June 12 - The bonding between a man and a dog is being loved by the Kannada movie-loving audiences as Rakshit Shetty's adventure comedy-drama film "777 Charlie" is turning out to be one of the biggest box office success stories of the year. ## Directed by Kiranraj K, "777 Charlie" make the most of the limited release it has had at the domestic box office on the opening weekend. The film scored 23.50 crores net on the opening weekend, including an estimated 9.50 crores on Sunday. The worldwide collection has crossed the 30 crores mark in just 3 days. ## The film is proving to be a money-spinner in the home state, Karnataka, which was expected. The opening weekend gross collection is approx. 24 crores, 3rd highest for a Kannada movie in 2022. Excluding monster blockbuster "KGF Chapter 2", the Rakshit Shetty-starrer might become the highest-grossing Kannada movie of 2022. ## The film follows the journey and bonding between a lonely factory worker and a Labrador Retriever. Dharma (Rakshit) is a loner, who doesn't socialize with people, and spends his time by working in a factory. Charlie, a small Labrador dog makes a complete changeover in Dharma's life. Mumbai, June 12 - Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick has refused to slow down at the box office and crossed the $700 million worldwide gross mark after its 3rd weekend. The worldwide collection now stands at an outstanding $747 million. ## At the domestic box office, the Top Gun sequel remained unaffected despite Jurassic World Dominion taking premium screens. It grossed an excellent $50 million in its 3rd weekend, pushing total domestic gross collection to $393 million. ## Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the Paramount/Skydance film added another $52.7M in 64 overseas markets during its third weekend. This takes the international cume to $354 million. Los Angeles, June 11 - North Americans love Dinosaurs and it has proved again as Chris Pratt's Jurassic World Dominion roared with a fantastic $60 million Friday gross collection, including $18 million from Thursday previews at the domestic box office. ## The critics' approval is not with the movie with a low 32% score on Rotten Tomatoes, however, the audience is loving it with A- CinemaScore. The opening of the final movie in the "Jurassic World" franchise is the second-biggest of 2022 and 3rd biggest during the covid-19 pandemic era domestically.## The opening weekend of "Jurassic World Dominion" is projected to reach about $140 million, that's only around 5% off the debut of the last movie, "Fallen Kingdom", which opened to $148 million in 2018. The movie also posted with the second-biggest opening day for a Jurassic movie, behind 2015's "Jurassic World" ($81.9M).## Meanwhile, the movie is projected to reach about $385+ million worldwide through Sunday, as per Deadline. Chennai, June 10 - Legendary Kamal Haasan's Vikram is simply unstoppable at the box office as it crossed a massive 250 crores worldwide in a flat first week. The action thriller, written and directed by brilliant Lokesh Kanagaraj, has become the 4th highest-grossing Indian movie of 2022. ## "Vikram" was expected to become a box office success, however, the makers wouldn't have thought this sort of response, both domestically and overseas box office. After the first week, the movie stands at 251.50 crores gross worldwide, including 168.5 crores at the domestic box office. ## Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, "Vikram" has also topped 100 crores gross in Tamil Nadu state alone in just 7 days. Chennai, June 4 - Tamil blockbuster Vikram is running riot at the box office and wrapped up the opening weekend on high, grossing over 170 crores worldwide in just three days. The film opened to superlative responses from the audience and also won critical acclaim with flying colors. ## The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed movie is a total firecracker at the Tamil Nadu box office. After taking the 3rd biggest opening in 2022, the movie concluded the opening weekend with Kamal Haasan's career-best 67.10 crores gross in Tamil Nadu state. The Sunday collection of the movie is more than the opening day at the TN box office, which is the rarest achievement for a top-tier Tamil movie. ## There is a crazy demand among the moviegoers at the ticket window for the "Vikram" movie. Looking at the response, the movie might reach 100 crores gross at the TN box office in the opening week itself. The movie has also topped all-Indian domestic 100 crores gross in just three days, currently stands at 110.8 crores. ## While "Vikram" is ruling the Tamil Nadu box office like a boss, it has also become the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2022 at the Kerala box office. In the first three days, it grossed 15.2 crores, beating Thalapathy Vijay's "Beast" (10.63 crores) to become the top Tamil movie in the state. It is also Kamal Haasan's biggest grosser in Kerala. ## Apart from the aforementioned areas, "Vikram" has reported 12.30 crores gross in Karnataka, 12.10 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and 4.10 crores in the Rest of India in the opening weekend. At the overseas box office, "Vikram" scored 64.2 crores in the first three days. At the USA box office, it has become Kamal Haasan's biggest grosser ever and also the biggest Tamil movie during the covid-19 pandemic with a reported gross collection of $1.75 million.
