Mumbai, May 29 - Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is running riot at the domestic box office and has entered the prestigious 100 crores club in just 9 days. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the sequel to 2006's classic hit scored an excellent 11.35 crores net on the second Saturday, pushing the total net collection to 109.92 crores in just 9 days. ## "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" is a special film for the Hindi film industry as it provided much-needed oxygen to the industry amid a few mishits at the box office. Meanwhile, BB2 has also become the 100th film in Hindi to enter the 100 crores net club and is currently at number 81 in the all-time biggest scorers in Hindi. It will, however, likely reach the 61st spot after the end of the second weekend. ## Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" has had big expectations as far as box office is concerned and it lived up to those expectations by collecting big numbers at the box office. More importantly, it has become the biggest grosser for Kartik Aaryan, both domestically and at the worldwide box office. ## The film took the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie in 2022 with 14.11 crores net and an excellent opening weekend of 55.96 crores had sealed its place in the 100 crores club which has now turned into reality. To become the 100th film in the 100 crores club is indeed a massive and unforgettable milestone for the makers. It is also only the second 100 crores net scorer for director Bazmee after "Ready". ## For the record, Aamir Khan's Ghajini was the first 100 crores net scorer in Hindi as it scored 114 crores in 2008. Chennai, May 29 - Tamil summer blockbuster, Don has become the highest-grossing film ever for actor Sivakarthikeyan whose rise over the years has been phenomenal. After scoring his first 100 crores grosser in the form of Doctor in October last year, Siva has done it again, and this time with much more ease. ## Directed by debutante Cibi Chakaravarthi, "Don" has so far grossed approx. 105 crores worldwide through the third Saturday. The coming-of-age romantic comedy breached the 100 crores gross mark in just two weeks which also took it past "Doctor" to become the biggest grosser for Siva. "Doctor" had grossed a little over 100 crores worldwide. ## "Don" is a big hit in the home state Tamil Nadu as it has grossed approx. 67 crores in the state through 3rd Friday. It is among the biggest grosser in Tamil Nadu this year with "Beast", "Valimai", "KGF Chapter 2", and "RRR". In Chennai city, "Don" has managed to collect approx. 7 crores which are fantastic numbers. ## Produced by Lyca Productions and Sivakarthikeyan Productions, "Don" is currently the 4th biggest movie in Tamil this year and it will finish with that spot. Los Angeles, May 28 - Superheros are not the only North American box office rulers and they have finally competition in the form of Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick. The high-octane actioner set the tone for a massive opening weekend with a superstrong $19.3 million in Thursday previews.## Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the sequel to Cruise's 1986's Top Gun, couldn't have bought more joy than taking the flight on the biggest opening day ever of the actor's career. Top Gun 2 grossed an earth-shattering $51.8 million on Friday, including $19.3 million in previews from record number of theaters in North America. ## The Paramount and Skydance pic is on track to score the best Memorial Day openings of all time with a projected three-day domestic haul of $123 million and $150 million for the four days, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is the current record holder with $139 million. ## The opening day collection of Top Gun 2 is almost 80% of Tom Cruise's biggest opening weekend grosser War of the Worlds, which is the biggest opening ever for him with $65 million in 2005. Top Gun 2 will become Cruise's biggest opening weekend grosser. The cinemagoers have bestowed the film with a coveted A+ CinemaScore. ## Internationally, Top Gun 2 collected $24.5 million on Friday, pushing the total international cume to $64.7 million. The U.K. led with $4 million to mark the highest opening day for a Cruise film and also for a live-action Paramount release. Japan followed with $2.6 million. Mumbai, May 27 - Director Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 2 has had a glorious run at the Hindi box office. The Yash-starrer period action drama film has performed way better than the expectations which were already high.## KGF 2 has completed six blockbuster weeks at the box office and its run is finally coming to an end. In its box office run so far, the movie faced stiff competition from Bollywood biggies but emerged top performer every time to score a whopping Rs. 433.74 crores, including Rs. 2.79 crores in the 6th week. ## Produced by Hombale Films, KGF 2 will be wrapped up with a little under/over Rs. 435 crores net, as the second biggest grosser ever in Hindi languages, behind only SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, which had scored Rs. 510.99 crores in 2017. As per the Hollywood industry trackers, the film will beat Marvel Studios, Black Widow's lifetime domestic total of $183.6 million by Saturday to become the 6th biggest Hollywood movie in North America during the covid-19 pandemic. ## Sonic 2 was released in theaters on April 8 and scored the biggest opening weekend for a video game movie at the domestic box office by grossing a massive $72 million. At the worldwide box office, the movie so far has grossed approx, $376 million. It will also beat the lifetime worldwide total of Black Widow, which had grossed $379.7 million in July last year. ## It has also become the highest-grossing video movie in USA history, after it overtook its predecessor on Saturday (April 30). Sonic the Hedgehog, which was released in 2020, had grossed $146 million in its lifetime run but it garnered praise which paved the way for its successor to go big at the box office.## Paramount Pictures guarantees its movies at least 45 days exclusively in theaters before making them available to stream on Paramount Plus. In the case of Sonic 2, the movie followed an exactly 45-day timeline before becoming available to stream on its 46th day. ## Sonic 2 stars Ben Schwartz reprising his role as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog, alongside James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Lee Majdoub, Idris Elba, and Jim Carrey.
