Bengaluru, April 27 - Kannada superstar Yash-fronted "KGF Chapter 2" has become the 4th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the worldwide box office. This is the second Pan India movie in a month to enter the top 5 all-time biggest Indian titles, after SS Rajamouli's "RRR". ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF 2 has scored 931 crores gross at the worldwide box office in just 13 days. The Yash-fronted period action drama film, KGF 2 has smashed an all-time record by scoring 268.63 crores net in the opening week in Hindi. ## The film has scored the biggest ever extended 8-days opening week in the history of Hindi cinema. Chennai, April 21 - Thalapthy Vijay's action thriller, "Beast" has crossed the 200 crores gross at the worldwide box office. The movie, however, is declining drastically at the domestic box office after the long 5-day opening weekend. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie was released on April 13 and scored 112.3 crores net in the first 5 days. Once the opening ended, the movie plumbed big time and minted only 7.95 crores net in the next 3 days, pushing the domestic net cume to 120.25 crores in 8 days. ## At the overseas box office, "Beast" has made 60.1 crores gross, helping the worldwide cume to go past the 200 crores mark. It has become Thalapathy Vijay's 5th movie to reach the landmark box office figure after "Bigil", "Mersal", "Sarkar", and "Master". ## Meanwhile, despite the so-so outing at the domestic box office, "Beast" has become the first film of 2022 to score 100 crores gross in Tamil Nadu state. Mumbai, April 20 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is readying for the release of his long-awaited sports drama movie, Jersey, on April 22. The Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name, Jersey, was supposed to release on April 14 itself but was postponed at the 11th hour to avoid a direct clash with Yash-fronted KGF Chapter 2', which is going all guns blazing at the box office. ## Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey also stars Mrunal Thakur. The movie carries a lot of expectations as far as the box office is concerned, however, it won't be easy for it to have a smooth outing. It might have avoided a direct clash with KGF 2, but, things are still not in favor of it. ## KGF Chapter 2 is running riot at the Hindi box office, and will easily be able to retain a significant number of screens in the second week as well. Jersey, on the other hand, is expected to release on around 2000 screens. While these are enough screens for any mid-budget Bollywood film to take a healthy start, the same can't be said for Jersey, which is having low advance booking numbers with only two days to release. ## On any other day, Jersey could have taken the opening of 15-20 crores, keeping Shahid Kapoor's stardom. However, with KGF 2 being the first choice of moviegoers, Jersey, might reduce to the opening of 5-7 crores on the first day, which will be considered a decent start. The advance of the film till April 20 is around 70 lakh, which is very low.
