New Delhi, May 3, 2021: Australian Cricket has offered its support to India in fighting the covid-19 second wave which has created havoc in the country. The board will be throwing its support behind the India COVID-19 crisis appeal, with Cricket Australia, the Australian Cricketers' Association, and UNICEF Australia partnering to raise much-needed funds. ## Cricket Australia, in a statement, shared on social media on May 3, said that it has been deeply saddened by the devastation caused by this second coronavirus wave to hit India, a country with which Australians share a strong friendship and connection. ## On Monday, Cricket Australia announced an initial donation of USD 50,000 towards the Covid-19 crisis appeal set up by the United Nations International Children's Education Fund (UNICEF) for India.## The money (Rs 37 lakhs, approximately) donated by the Australian cricket board will be used to procure oxygen for seriously ill patients, providing testing equipments in affected regions as well as supporting the roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines via the COVAX initiative. ## Australian Cricket will throw its support behind the India COVID-19 Crisis Appeal by partnering with the @ACA_Players and @unicefaustralia to raise much needed funds.Donate to UNICEF Australia’s India COVID-19 Crisis Appeal: https://t.co/JWpslbtY2j pic.twitter.com/E0CMow6h8z— Cricket Australia (@CricketAus) May 2, 2021 ## It was Aussie quick Pat Cummins who was the first cricketer to make a sizeable donation of $50,000 towards the PM Cares Fund to help India fight the super-contagious second wave of coronavirus which has brought the country's already-weak healthcare system to its knees. Los Angeles, May 2, 2021: The next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and 4th film in the Thor franchise, "Thor: Love and Thunder" is on the verge of completing the shoot. Directed by Taika Waititi, the filming on Thor: Love and Thunder has been underway since late January in Australia. ## The director said that the fourth film in the Thor franchise might be the best Marvel film ever. "Filming is going great. We've got four weeks left, I can see light at the end of the tunnel. It might be the best Marvel film ever!", Waititi told Weekend Today (via comicbook). ## The movie stars Chris Hemsworth as a mighty superhero Thor, along with Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. Natalie Portman, who last appeared in 2013's Thor: The Dark World before reprising her role in 2019's Endgame, is also returning to Love And Thunder as Jane Foster. The movie will also see Jaimie Alexander as Sif and Jeff Goldblum as Ragnarok's cosmic Grandmaster along with the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy.## On reuniting with Hemsworth, Waititi said, "He is a funny guy, he's a good friend and he's also someone that you just want to hang out with all the time. Mumbai, May 2, 2021: Actress Kangana Ranaut, who made her debut with Anurag Basu's Gangster, has completed 15 years, and one can easily say that she is one of the biggest stars of the country now. She has made a name for herself with movies like Fashion, Tanu Weds Manu, Queen, Manikarnika, and many others. ## However, despite choosing some of the best movies, Kangana says she failed to see opportunity in Vidya Balan starrer "The Dirty Picture", which she had refused when it was offered to her. Vidya Balan won the National Award for the Best Actress for her role in the film that went on to become one of the iconic movies in Bollywood. ## In an interview with TOI, Kangana said when asked about a film that she regrets turning down. "Not really. But I think 'The Dirty Picture', just like I always said, turned out to be so wonderful! But I don't think I would have done it better than Vidya Balan because she was terrific in that. But yes, sometimes I feel that I didn't see the potential in that film".## On completing 15 years in cinema, Kangana launched her own production house called "Manikarnika Films". She also announced the first project under the banner, "Tiku Weds Sheru", which will she Kangana to make her digital debut as a producer. Going forward, the actress said that she wants to be a successful director, the top director in the country. ## "Well, for now, I am very happy being an actor and I definitely want to become a very successful director, the top director in the country. Hyderabad, May 1, 2021: Superstar Mahesh Babu has joined hands with director Trivikram Srinivas for his next film. The actor is currently busy in Sarkaru Vaari Paata with director Parasuram, and even before completing the shoot, he has announced his much-awaited collaboration. ## It is the third time, the actor-director duo is joining hands for a film project. Earlier, the duo worked on Athadu (2005), and Khaleja (2010), and now after 11 years, they are coming together for another project, tentatively titled, SSMB28.
