Bangalore, May 1, 2021: Kannada actor Arjun Gowda has come forward to help people in the covid-19 crisis. The actor has launched his own ambulance service, called Project Smile Trust, to ferry covid-19 patients to hospitals amid the shortage of ambulance service in Karnataka state which is witnessing a huge surge in coronavirus cases. ## Apart from taking patients to hospitals, the actor has also decided to help in carrying out the final rites of those who have lost their lives due to the virus. ## "I've been on the road for a couple of days and I've already helped out around half a dozen people with assistance for final rites. We want to ensure that we help out anyone in need irrespective of where they come from or what religion they practice", he told Bangalore Times.## Arjun also took to social media and said that he has taken proper training before starting his healthcare service. Mumbai, May 1, 2021: The makers of Akshay Kumar starrer "Bell Bottom", have issued an official statement amid the speculations of direct OTT release. The statement came after a section of media claimed that Bell Bottom will skip theatrical release and will directly premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar. ## And now, responding to such reports, Pooja Entertainment took to social media and shared a statement. The actress dives into webspace with her production house Manikarnika Films and launches its logo on Saturday. ## "With 'Tiku Weds Sheru', Manikarnika Films is venturing into digital space. It's a love story and a satire with dark humor. Hyderabad, April 30, 2021: Tamil superstar and highly talented actor Dhanush's latest release Karnan has taken the South Indian box office by storm and proved to be the actor's biggest blockbuster of his career.## Loosely based on the 1995 Kodiyankulam caste violence that happened in the Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, "Karnan" touched audiences' hearts who hailed the actor for choosing the hard-hitting subject and nailing them with perfection. ## And now, after its box office success, the movie is set for its remake in other languages. The Telugu remake is already in the works as Bellamkonda Suresh has reportadly bought the remake rights of Karnan and is on board as producer. B Suresh has picked his son Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas to play the lead role of Karnan. ## Interestingly, Dhanush's 2019 release "Asuran" which recently won the National Award for the best Tamil movie, has already been remade in Telugu as "Narappa" with Venkatesh Daggubati playing the lead role. Calling him an extension of the family's existence, the actress shared that there was not a day without discussing or reminiscing him in the past year. ## The veteran actress took to Instagram and shared a picture of herself with Rishi Kapoor and wrote, "All of last year has been of grief and sadness around the world, for us maybe more as we lost him. Chennai, April 30, 2021: Noted Tamil director-cinematographer KV Anand passed away due to cardiac arrest in the early hours of Friday in Chennai. KV Anand had worked as a cinematographer in movies like Sivaji, Chellamae along with Hindi movies, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Nayak: The Real Hero, and others. ## KV Anand, 54, had also directed some of the critically acclaimed Tamil movies like Kaappaan, Maattrraan, Kavan, Anegan, and few others. He won the National Award for cinematography for the 1995's Malayalam movie, Thenmavin Kombath. His last film as a director was Suriya and Mohanlal starrer Kaappaan. ## His death has sent shockwaves across the country, which is still mourning the death of comedy icon Vivek.
