The coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide lockdown has put a big halt in the entertainment industry as almost every film's release has been postponed indefinitely. While theater owners are waiting for the re-opening of cinemas, many filmmakers have already started opting for the OTT route whereas some are in advanced stage to announce their movies directly on the digital platforms. ## Gulabo Sitabo and Shakuntala Devi were one of the first movies to be announced for the direct OTT release with the former has already been premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Recently, late Sushant Singh Rajput and debutante Sanjana Sanghi's Dil Bechara had also been confirmed to release on 24 July on Disney Plus Hotstar. ## Now, Disney Plus Hotstar has confirmed 7 movies including Akshay Kumar's Laxmmi Bomb and Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride Of India. Late Sushant Singh Rajput's last movie Dil Bechara will be the first to release on July 24 while rest of the films will be premiered between July and October.## Here are movies which release directly on Disney+Hotstar -## Dil Bechara [24 July] -## Late Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi starrer which was earlier titled Kizie and Manny recently confirmed on Disney+Hotstar release. The film is the remake of Hollywood romance drama The Fault In Our Stars, which starred Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley. The film marks the directorial debut of casting director, Mukesh Chhabra. It will be the late actor's last film who passed away on June 14.## Laxmmi Bomb -## The remake of the Tamil movie Muni 2: Kanchana, Laxmi Bomb was supposed to release on Eid 2020 and was set to clash with Salman Khan’s Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai. Laxmi Bomb stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the leading roles. The upcoming horror-thriller is written and directed by Raghava Lawrence in his Hindi directorial debut while Cape of Good Films, Tushar Entertainment House, Shabinaa Entertainment, Fox Star Studios, and Bad-X Productions have co-produced the film. Akshay Kumar plays the role of a transgender.## Bhuj: The Pride Of India -## Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride Of India's story is set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 in which Ajay Devgn plays IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik. Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, and Pranitha Subhash are also starring in key roles. It is being co-produced, written, and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. ## Sadak 2 [28 August] - ## The film marks the return of Mahesh Bhatt as a director after his 1999 film, Kartoos. The sequel of Sadak (1991) which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt will bring back the original actors Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt along with a new pair Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. This is also the first time Alia is working with her father since her launch in Student Of The Year.## The Big Bull - ## The much-awaited Abhishek Bachchan starrer, which was set for theatrical release on 23rd October 2020, also seems to be acquired by the streaming giant. It is the story of a man who sold dreams to India. The film will also star Ileana D'Cruz, Nikita Dutta, and Soham Shah. It is directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit, and Vikrant Sharma, Kumar Mangat Pathak.## Khuda Haafiz [14 August] - Directed by Faruk Kabir, the film features Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in the lead roles.## Lootcase [31 July] - The movie is directed by Rajesh Krishnan and produced by Fox Star Studios and Soda Films Productions and starring Kunal Kemmu along with Gajraj Rao, Rasika Duggal, Ranvir Shorey, and Vijay Raaz.## Stay tuned...

Recently, some reports broke out that Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmmi Bomb and Ajay Devgn's Bhuj - The Pride Of India might also take an OTT route.## Now, with they are coming live together on Hotstar, they could make an official announcement of releasing their movies on Disney Plus Hotstar along with Varun Dhawan's Coolie No. 1, Alia Bhatt's Sadak 2, and Abhishek Bachchan starrer The Big Bull. ## It could be a big dent for the theaters' owners if the stars announce their movies on Hotstar as theaters are heavily banking on these movies to attract the audiences once cinemas re-open post COVID-19. The theater owners might also suffer a heavy loss of revenue if these movies don't release in theaters. ## FYI, Laxmmi Bomb was supposed to release on Eid but postponed due to lockdown while Bhuj: The Pride Of India is scheduled to release on August 14. Bigg Boss is one of the most-watched reality shows in India as well as outside. The reason for this unpreceded response is the format of the show and the host Salman Khan. However, it seems like the fans will have to wait a bit longer as the new season is likely to start a month later than usual.## According to the Mid-Day report, the online auditions have already been completed and the makers have selected a total of 30 contestants out of which 16 will enter the house in Bigg Boss 14. Out of 16, 13 will be celebrities, and the rest 3 supposed to be commoners.## However, owing to the nationwide lockdown which was imposed a month after Bigg Boss 13 grand finale and the COVID-19 threat is looming large, the new season is supposed to begin in the last week of October. The report also stated that all the contestants will enter the house after tested for the virus and the entire Bigg Boss house is properly sanitized.## The daily quoted a source close to the show saying, "While the show had started on October 1 last year, this time around, the shoot is likely to begin from the last week of October. The participants will be a mix of celebrities and commoners. The team has shortlisted 30 people, of which 16 will enter the Bigg Boss house. The 16 contestants, comprising 13 celebrities and three commoners, will be tested for COVID-19 before being sent inside the house. The set, as well as the items inside the house, will be sanitized".## The daily also revealed that the theme of this year's Bigg Boss is based on life in a jungle and the audience can expect a strict cut down on luxury items inside the house.## Talking about the Bigg Boss 13, well, it was the most controversial season and longest as well. The chairman of the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC), Prasoon Joshi recently took to social media and expressed his disagreement with a few scenes in Amazon Prime's new web series 'Rasbhari' which starred Swara Bhaskar in the lead role. ## The web series is directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt and written by Shantanu Shrivastava talks about a small-town boy who falls in love with his teacher who is sex-obsessed. However, a scene where a little girl child dancing provocatively in front of men drinking didn't go well as the chairman raised an objection on this irresponsible content. ## Prasoon Joshi took to Twitter and wrote, "Saddened by web series #Rasbhari’s irresponsible content portraying a little girl child dancing provocatively in front of men drinking.Creators& audience need 2seriously rethink Freedom of expression or freedom of exploitation? She further added that the small girl is dancing on her own wish and seeing her daughter dancing her father is embarrassed. The dance is not shameful. The girl is just dancing, she doesn’t know that society will sexualize her. The nation is still mourning at the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput who claimed his life on June 14 by hanging himself at his apartment in Mumbai. The young and talented actor left his family, friend, and fans in tears. His death has left people wondering what was the reason behind such a big decision of taking life. ## While the Mumbai Police investigation is underway, Sushant Singh Rajput's family has released an official statement after 13 days of his demise. In the released statement, the late actor's family revealed that he had always been curious to know about different things and his love for science was endless. ## The family also revealed that in memory of Sushant, they will be set up Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation (SSRF) to support young talents in the fields Sushant was keen to discover. His childhood home in Patna will also be turned into a memorial, as confirmed by his family in the statement.## A part of the statement read "To honour his memory and legacy, the family has decided to set up Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation (SSRF) to support young talents in areas close to his heart - cinema, science, and sport". ## "His childhood home in Rajiv Nagar, Patna will be turned into a memorial. She began her journey with a sublime hundred on debut against Ireland in 1999 and her juggernaut is still going strong even after 21 years. ## Mithali Raj has the longest international career among the women player and only woman with 20+ years of career. But when it comes to an ODI career, Mithali is right up there after the legends Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya. ## Here we are taking you through top 5 players with the longest ODI career whether its men or women:## 1. Sachin Tendulkar (22 years, 91 days) - Sachin Tendulkar does not need any introduction. The man who inspired the current generation to make a career in cricket has the longest runs in the one-day internationals. He started his ODI journey on 15 November 1989 against Pakistan at Jinnah Stadium which lasts long for more than 22 years as his last ODI outing came also against Pakistan at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. During his long ODI career, the master blaster played 463 ODIs and scored 18426 runs at an average of 44.83. To get those runs, he scored 49 hundred including a double hundred against South Africa and 96 half-centuries. The legendary batsman broke many records in his career and left many to break in which a few are, the highest number of matches, the highest number of runs, most hundred and half-centuries. ## 2. Sanath Jayasuriya (21 years, 184 days) - Arguably one of the greatest batsmen Sri Lanka has ever produced, Sanath Jayasuriya was naturally an attacking batsman who liked to dominate bowlers from the very first ball. The left-hander took the crease for the first time on 26 December 1989, almost a month after Sachin Tendulkar began his ODI journey against Australia at Melbourne which ended on 28 June 2011 against England at Kennington Oval. He played 445 ODIs and scored 13430 runs at an average of 32.13 with 28 hundred and 68 half-centuries. ## 3. Mithali Raj (21 years, 00 days)* - The only current player with more than 21 years of career, Mithali Raj has been one of the greatest woman cricketers in the history of cricket. She started her journey with a sublime hundred on debut against Ireland on 26 June 1999 and still going strong. Mithali was just 16 and a half-year-old when she made her ODI debut which was going to be written in history books. So far, Mithali Raj has played 209 ODIs and has scored 6888 runs at an impressive average of 50.64 with 7 hundred and 53 half-centuries. The former India captain is the only player among the top 10 leading run-getters in women ODIs to have 50+ average. She is also the most capped woman ODI player. Mithali has a real chance to break Sachin's record for the longest ODI career as she is eyeing 2021 world cup and beyond. ## 4. Chris Gayle (20 years, 288 days)* - Naturally an attacking batsman, Chris Gayle has been a revolution in ODI cricket. He may not look technically a good batsman but his hand-eye coordination and ability to hit the ball hard is enough to threaten the bowlers. He made his ODI debut against India on 11 September 1999 at Toronto CSCC and has played 300 ODIs so far in which he has made 10480 runs at an average of 37.70 with 25 hundred and 54 half-centuries. Gayle is one of the two players who has scored a double hundred in the world cup. ## 5. Javed Miandad (20 years, 272 days) - A batting maestro who scripted a few unrealistic victories for Pakistan, Javed Miandad was a synonym of spirit and spunk in the Pakistan cricket. Miandad will forever be remembered for his six off the last ball of Chetan Sharma in the Austral-Asia Cup final in Sharjah in 1986. He made his ODI debut against West Indies on 11 June 1975 at Edgbaston and played 233 ODIs and scored 7381 runs at an average of 41.47 with 8 hundred and 50 half-centuries. His last ODI outing came against India in the 1996 world cup at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has applauded Hindustan Unilever (HUL) for dropping the word 'Fair' from its Fair & Lovely beauty product. The actress on Friday took to her Instagram handle and spoke how her skin color has been used to describe her since childhood. ## The 41-year old actress who has worked in many Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and English films, recalled her journey as an actress in the entertainment industry. She said that her skin color was always a topic of discussion despite the fact that she has been a successful film actor. ## Bipasha began her long Instagram post by saying that even as a child, her distant relatives discussed her 'dusky' complexion. She wrote, "From the time I was growing up I heard this always, "Bonnie is darker than Soni. She is little dusky na?“Even though my mother is a dusky beauty and I look a lot like her. I never knew why that would be a discussion by distant relatives when I was a kid."## Even when she won the supermodel contest, some of the newspapers referred her 'dusky girl from Kolkata' which again wondered her that adjective 'Dusky' was used to describe her. "Soon at 15/ 16 I started modelling and then I won the supermodel contest ... all newspapers read ... dusky girl from Kolkata is the winner. I wondered again why Dusky is my first adjective ??? Then I went to New York and Paris to work as a model and I realized my skin color was exotic there and I got more work and attention because of it," she added. ## Bipasha revealed that when she made her Bollywood debut in 2001 with Ajnabee, she was accepted and loved by many but she was still labeled as the 'dusky girl'. The director of Sushant Singh Rajput's Dil Bechara, Mukesh Chhabra on Thursday (June 25) got emotional after his debut directorial which also would be the last film of Sushant has been announced for its digital release by the makers of the film.## Mukesh Chhabra who shared a close friendship with Sushant post a heartfelt note on social media and stated that he along with the 'Dil Bechara' team, will celebrate the late actor through the release of the film which will be premiered on July 24, 2020, on Disney Plus Hotstar. ## Sushant Singh Rajput who claimed his life on June 14 at his residence in Mumbai had promised Mukesh Chhabra to be a part of the director's debut movie. Now, Mukesh Chhabra is overwhelmed by the decision of makers to release the movie and make it available to everyone. ## Chhabra shared the poster of the movie along with a note stating, "Sushant was not just a hero of my debut film as a director but he was a dear friend who stood by me through thick and thin. We had been close right from the Kai Po Che to Dil Bechara".## "He had promised me that he would be in my first film. So many plans were made together but never once did I ever imagine that I would be releasing this film without him. Miss you," he concluded.## The movie is a coming-of-age romantic drama film which also stars debutante Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan. AR Rahman has composed the film’s music and Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned it while Fox Star Studios has produced the movie. ## Dil Bechara is an adaptation of John Green’s 2013 bestseller novel 'The Fault In Our Stars' in which Sushant Singh Rajput plays Immanuel Rajkumar Junior aka Manny who falls in love with Kizie Basu (Sanjana Sanghi) and embarks on a sweet profound journey of life with his love.## Stay tuned... ##

Sushant Singh Rajput's fans demand went unheard as the late actor's last film 'Dil Bechara' will now directly release on the digital platform instead of the theatrical release. It is a coming-of-age romantic drama film which is directed by Mukesh Chhabra who made his directorial debut with this film. ## 'Dil Bechara' was earlier titled 'Kizie Aur Manny' but was changed at the last moment. The story of the film revolves around the two cancer patients who fall in love with each other. Along with Sushant Singh Rajput, the movie also stars debutante Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan. It is produced by Fox Star Studios. ## After the death of Sushant, his fans wanted 'Dil Bechara' to release in the theaters instead of the OTT release to which fans made a trend #DilBecharaInTheaters on social media.
